I used to play this game a lot with my father he was an archaeologist so i showed him this game in 2013 ,we played everyday and wrote every hint in notebooks ,so many days trying to advance in la mulana but we never completed it ,sadly he passed away in 2018 and we never finished it ,i miss you dad...
This song is literally the work of the mother herself. No other being could possibly create a song so good. I can't even stay mad at the game for killing me over and over because of the music
I really love the music in this game. This track in particular really sets the mood for the rest of the game, pretty much telling you that it's gonna be one hell of an adventure
Listen to the intro to this song, the song that plays the first time you enter La-Mulana. Then go listen to the intro to "Good Night Mom", the song that plays at the beginning of the final boss battle. That is excellent composition.
1:24 those quiet little notes in the background...just...those little notes... also..can I just say I love it how the first area of the game sounds more like engame material than the actual endgame area?
This is a great theme to start out with. While it isn't the first track you hear as soon as the game starts, it IS the first thing you hear when you enter the ruins. And as mentioned in other comments, it pretty much sets the tone for the rest of the adventure.
I never pay close attention to the beginning level music in most games, but this one is actually quite stellar, and might be better than the original track too.

that's wonderful, I'm glad you got to share that experience with him
You should finish it, and use his notes
Finish the adventure......for him

Nope, just two guys who originally made the song for fun.
@@Krendall2 Well yeah, I was just making a joke
The adventure begins.
Jakihro 3 seconds later... you died XD
A song to inspire courage. To make one a Fearless Challenger. A true feeling of nostalgia.

A bit of Mr Explorer is in good night mom too
This is hands down one of the greatest songs to open a video game adventure of all time. Up there with Richter Belmont's theme.

I wanna fight. You wanna fight? Let's fight!
what is that, a deceased crab quote?
HIS SHACK AWRYYYYY
BORN BY THE DIEEEEEE
Kenpokid4 D-D-DECEASEDCRAB! D-D-DECEASEDCRAB!
Powerful!
Perfect !
This is La-Mulana's main theme for me
Love how his father is an Asian Sean Connery. :P
1:08 !
I know right!! Eppiiiiiiic!
That harpsichord. How can such a crazy-sounding instrument be used to such effect?
epic
A brilliant game I'm not quite patient enough to finish......yet.
Once I got to the area where this BGM kicked in - total classic Falcom nostalgia fest.
shouldn't it be Fearless challenger?
Is it just me or does this song sound like it could be a cornered theme from ace attorney?
+William Oakes I was thinking Steel Samurai, but now that you mention it the resemblance between this and cornered is uncanny.
+Latimew333 Same for me.
Mr.Explorer seems like an Objection theme, instead, imho.
This turns into a COMPLETELY different song at 2x speed.
