Jan, I know these videos must take a long time to film. These are your bread and butter and makes you stand out from other plant TH-camrs that just do repots and unboxings. Great video.
These long period videos must be such a pain to make but I love them so much. It feels like I’m gaining knowledge without the use of time and all this work. It’s like he’s blasting me with his genius.
Jan this type of video are insane, I love it! All the work behind and during more than a year to do a video, to see the progression, your trial, nobody in the plant game do this! You are passionate, this type of video teaches us so much, show us the timeline. You stand out like that and you deserve so much visibility and everything, with this monk work that you do 💛💛💛
Can’t help but appreciate the amount of time, thought, and work that goes into a video like this! You’re my favorite planty content creator for a reason :)
I absolutely adore the time lapse and full updates on your plants, it’s so unique.. and it’s appreciated.. and I also appreciate you buying small plants as I do also, you get see and get pleasure from nurturing them. 👍🏼
Thank you so much for putting out quality content in such a thoughtful way. I love that you prioritize helping us see the journey and progress over speed, or ease, or quantity.
i love these spotlight videos, well done!! and it was nice to have your company with my coffee this morning. its freezing here in northeast usa, so i am living vicariously through your southern hemisphere springtime lol 💚
Thank you for all your videos. I learned so much from them about muscles. And I just love the relationship you have with Bentley he is so sweet I can tell he's a very special cat
Just confirms what I always thought: with a few exceptions (like Thai constellation or marble queen, for example) the variegated plants are an overpriced and overhyped garbage bin filler. Also: thank you so much for these "12 months in the life of a plant" videos. I can only imagine how hard it is to film and edit them. I appreciate your efforts and watch and sometimes rewatch every single one of them!
Thank you :) there's definitely more than just the thai con that have great & stable variegation ... pothos for example :) but yes, often it is not worth it !
I love these videos that follow the processes you take with the plants. I appreciate all of the advice from past, present, and future Jan! Brilliant!!😆😆 I have to do the same with a variegated heart-shaped Philodendron I have on a pole. Thanks!!
I have a tip for you that I found out recently myself. With the grow verticalpoles, it' better to put the backing of the extension on the inside of the moss pole below, otherwise too much water pours out in the back into the pot when top bottle watering the moss pole. Sorry If this is unwanted advice and thank you for all your tips. You made me start with moss poles the right way,and I now have 15 of them. Lol.
honestly i've never had any water pour out the back even with the way I do it :) Just be careful not to squish any roots when you put the new pole into the old one :)
I really appreciate the effort you put into these kind of videos. They could have been multiple videos, but that would not be as educational and informative unless you turned it into a playlist. It is hard to find every “episode” released over a year. So thank you very much! I am not that impressed with the esthetic of the variegation. I think the regular plant looks better, but for an experiment, it is worth the work.
I must say, these videos over this big timespan are so satisfying to watch and my favourite videos. They must be so hard to make though, even keeping track of all these plants plus making updates without forgetting one completely. I would struggle 😅 Thank you for making these interesting videos and Happy Holidays! 🎄
Great video as always! 💚 I am not a fan of variegated velvet philodendrons, so I probably won't try to grow one, but it is always nice to see your journey 💚
Crazy wow, it's very annoying when the Ver is intermittent! Having and testing Ph. Melano Ver is a big commitment, the green one is hard enough! :D Very good job Yan!
Nice video thanks Jan. Appreciate you spending time on these experiments so we don't have to. 😘 Very impressive propagation result! Is that still Bunnings moss ? Yours always looks so fresh light and clean. Do you hydrate and wash it first or are they sending the dirty B grade stuff to Adelaide?
Hi Jan Great video.. appreciate the work that goes into this type of video. Not overly keen on too many variegated plants in my collection. The melano is I agree super super sexy 😊
Flora magnifica are great, have bought a few plants over the last year from them. Good service...i will get to their shop one day but generally i recieve their mail in a day or 2 as I'm not too far away from them
Nice project 😊 Really appreciate these videos that show plants and their progress over a longer period of time To be completely honest… I don’t understand this type of variegation 😅 There were a few leaves that I did like, but overall, personally I would much prefer the original non variegated Melano. But theres something for everyone out there in plant world
Hi Jan Great video.. appreciate the work that goes into this type of video. Not overly keen on too many variegated plants in my collection. The melano is I agree super super sexy 😊
Agree :D if it wasn't for making a video I would NOT buy that plant ... and luckily it was quite affordable !! Crazy to think how much money people spend on these plants :O
I don't know if this is an unpopular or popular opinion, but the non-variegated Melano is prettier I think the variegated Melano is one of those variegated plants that just look sick
Very interesting video 👍 I wonder what happens next and now I know that I don't want this plant 😬. If even with you = a ful professional it doesn't look decorative, it must be hard 🤷🏻♀️ thank you 🌱🍃🌿
Hey all :) don't forget to like, comment & subscribe :) appreciate it!!
Happy Growing :)
As usual. Great video

Thank you:)
Thanks for everything, Jan! Happy holidays 🎄🎄🎄
Thank you!! Appreciate it ! Happy holidays & happy growing :)
Jan, as usual, I learn so much from you via your videos. You've helped me tremendously with my plant game. I'm now growing 21 plants on moss poles.😊
Thanks & happy growing :)
Can’t wait to see your trailing Melano
I just chopped and extended my Melano and decided to trail the lower part that was left. Great minds… lol
Thank you Jan. I have a new philo melano. This episode is useful 👍👍👍
Glad it was useful :)
I appreciate all your videos and learn something you all the time.
Thank you so much 😊😊

Love this kind of videos! I actually love all of your videos. I enjoy listening to you. I play your videos for my dogs when I'm at work 😂
Hehe thanks :)

Thank you :) definitely makes for a nicer viewing experience having them all in one video :)
agree, hard to beat the normal green form :)
I must say, these videos over this big timespan are so satisfying to watch and my favourite videos. They must be so hard to make though, even keeping track of all these plants plus making updates without forgetting one completely. I would struggle 😅
Thank you for making these interesting videos and Happy Holidays! 🎄
Thanks :) had to start an excel spreadsheet haha
Great video as always! 💚 I am not a fan of variegated velvet philodendrons, so I probably won't try to grow one, but it is always nice to see your journey 💚

Thanks for staying patient hehe :)!

Your legend Jan..great video. I'm on the fence with variegated melano.
Cheers :)
Nice video thanks Jan. Appreciate you spending time on these experiments so we don't have to. 😘 Very impressive propagation result!

What a lovely video thank you ❤
Thanks for watching :)
Thank you for inspiring me to use some moss poles. It’s very interesting that the stem isn’t variegated like monstera
Very true !!:)

Glad you did this vid as I am just about to do some stuff to my melano (non variagated)

Here for it 😊

I think we all agree :D
@@vernolopia I have to agree
Thanks
Thank you!! Appreciate it :)
❤❤❤
💚
Why did you put those new poles on the OUTSIDE of the others? Wouldn't it be better to put them inside to direct the water down into the pole?
Eaiser that way :) still directs the water just fine :) but u can also put them inside if u like but be careful not to squish any roots :)
@sydneyplantguy cool..was actually wondering about that.
Cheers 🍻
Very interesting video 👍 I wonder what happens next and now I know that I don't want this plant 😬. If even with you = a ful professional it doesn't look decorative, it must be hard 🤷🏻♀️ thank you 🌱🍃🌿
It's definitely gonna be hard to make this one look nice :D
