That +5 and -2 mph parameter, while using predictive cruise control is not true on the new Freightliners. My cruise will be set to 60mph, then drop to 54mph when approaching a descent, then hold at 65mph well into the descent, then give up the parameter altogether and be at 70mph at the bottom of the hill. It's crap. Drive your truck...don't let it drive you.
Late to the party but yes this is by far the stupidest thing ever installed on a truck. I'm only here because I'm looking for a way to disable this POS or find a shop that will disable it. Mots dealerships are ignorant morons when I as them about it. Somehow they think I'm talking about the adaptive cruise and flat out refuse to even listen to my explanation. My first Pete and I have to say I'm not really impressed.
