You have produced so many free videos that have helped so many people that, as far as I am concerned, you can promote all you want. Love the Z product.
Another peice of gold as a link from the 30day mastery course--Cant wait to finish the course and i will def buy this-BUT I am being very good:) and waiting till the end of the course so i will have mastered the basics..BTW Blake... your enthusiasm is so infectious I love it!! I did play back parts at 75% though :) :) ( just pulling your leg ) great exciting stuff🙏🙏
Dude, you absolutely killed this tutorial. 1. I've never seen the first LM Mask way, so much easier. 2. The blend if was excellent. I can find uses for both for sure. I'm buying your ZSE6. Thanks!
Thanks so much! I prefer to make LM's easy, there are so many convoluted ways out there. But Blend If, man, it is incredible.Hop on over to the ZSE6, I'd love to have you :)
Hi Blake, Jose from Puerto Rico. Like the late Bruce Lee said: "Be water my friend". Now I can understand your enthusiasm for this blend-if method. It adapts and can be moved to other photos without re-doing the whole procedure. Wonderful tutorial.
Many times instead of working with curves adjustment I go to the mask and darken & light it with a brush. It seems to give me more variation in depth of the complete image. Like touch-up in portraiture.
I absolutely love your videos. Be as corny as you think, but the information is key and you seem to nail it (nothing to do with anatomy) every time! Well done. As far as the thumbs down folk are concerned, in every bunch of beautiful roses there are pricks. Keep up the great job for those that appreciate it Blake.
"Holy crap, son!" Lol. You are awesome and I love learning from you! I am anxious to try this out to help me with my editing flow, speed things up and be more consistent!!
I have one question. I have been looking at the TK8 module from Tony Kuyper and one of things I've found is that many of the files end up over 2gb in size when I've finished editing them. Is it the same with ZSE6 files?
Not necessarily... But only when using Blend If. I have a whole portion of my panel dedicated to blend if. Blend if is, in my opinion, superior to traditional masking. It is lighter on file size and much easier to manipulate and as you stack them they continually interact with the layers below them. Since using Blend if I rarely, if ever, use traditional pixel masking when making luminosity adjustments.
Hi, loving your tutorials! I have a question. How would you compare a mask made with Apply Image to LM and the BI masks here? I'm trying to understand the difference. Thanks!
I honestly think Apply Image has run it's course. I haven't used it in about 8 years. I know others use it in their workflow, but now with LMs and Blend If being as powerful as they are, Apply Image feels antiquated to me. I'm probably not the best person to ask 😔
This man is a Photoshop savant and a world class teacher. With regard to buying the ZSE, like Nike says, just do it - you won't be sorry. The following is my "review" from his website; if you're interested. I am an engineer and I don't "like" or praise every little thing that comes along. However, this man is the real deal and this is a value add or force multiplier product. If you want to up your game as a PS processor, buy this product and follow this man. Review: Purchasing the ZSE is not simply an investment in another Photoshop (PS) tool. Rather, it is an investment in this man, Blake Rudis. Blake’s ZSE is the results of years of image workflow development along with the most straight forward way to implement it in the beast known as PS. The tool helps you implement his vision for you - i.e. to become the artist he knows you aspire to be - which is a departure from the many other tools (or presets) on the market designed to get you to push buttons in order to achieve someone else’s look on your pictures. The ZSE allows you to concentrate more on your artistic vision rather than worrying about how to get PS to do what is in your mind’s eye. Blake will make sure you understand how to use his tool, not only with accompanying education but by making himself available for questions - far beyond what most instructors would do. There is almost nothing this man won’t do to assist you in becoming a better photographer artist. Blake is that rare teacher who is dedicated to your success. You will come to consider any investment in him to be the best photography investment you’ve ever made - I certainly do. I’m to the point that if Blake puts something new out, I know it is in my best interest to get it. The ZSE is by far no exception and I can give it my highest recommendation!
Excellent Blake! The LUT Profile in ACR is beyond amazing, for those of us that work in projects where similarities in look & feel across the project images is very important. And yes I use ZSE as well.
Damn Blake! Saw you in Fototripper as well, but your Color Theory episode on Nick Page's Landscape Photography Podcast sold me to explore and subscribe to your channel. I love your content, and I love your energy and passion. When the stars align in the future I will be exploring your Zone System as well.
I just ran across your page today. You forgot #4 when using blend if you get a true 16bit tonal transition vs only getting 8bit tonal even when working on 16bit images and selectin a mask. :-)
I like to do things Manually, which is why i like your channel. not only do you allow people to learn then just download or buy the short cuts but you also allow people to learn and do it for themselves. So is your courses built in this same message or do we need to purchase the pannels? Also this is pretty awesome, i guess you could also use this to control and build like a set of images with the same images and color grades within the set of images?
I love blend if, I learned the method from you first and I think it was the 5 Ways Blend If video (memories a bit dodgy so hope I'm close) that sold me on blend if! I'm going to have a look at your zone system! 👍🏻
Good tuto as always, thanks. Few people come up with new tricks that were mentioned nowhere before. I wish I could think of such ways to use PS myself since I now know quite a lot about it...👍👍👍
This is awesome. I've been an f64 Elite member since it's beginning and have had every panel that Blake has designed and this one surpasses all of them. His teaching is excellent. Do yourself a big favor, get it, you'll not be disappointed. I've been using this Blend If mask method for a couple of days and am blown away. They're ya go, unsolicited promo!
Hi Blake! Now that is an interesting application for blend if! Makes me happy to be an early adopter of ZSE6. Looking forward to diving into the education and looking forward to the extended edition next month. Keep on keeping on! Thanks for sharing.
Nice. I usually deal with very individual landscape photos and paint in luminosity masks. However, this is a good thing to know for those times I want to edit a bunch of images.
Awesome! Just found you from cat shit Gavin and wow thanks Gavin, you’ve just blown my mind Blake! I guess you could carry on with the Luts and use them in premier to grade video 😱😮 awesome! Great video.
This is the first video of yours I didn't like. It was like the old bait & switch, tempt them with the offer to educate, then go over everything so fast they have to buy the course to understand it. I didn't even watch thing to the end, another first.
I love the information in your videos, but your constant hand movement when the camera is looking at you is very distracting. My mom used to say that some people would be mute if their hands were tied behind their back --- and I'm wondering if that applies to you?
You have produced so many free videos that have helped so many people that, as far as I am concerned, you can promote all you want. Love the Z product.
You rock!!!!
I agree on both counts. It is the most used tool in Photoshop for me.

hello Blake. A personnal question. What an american photographer made in Notre Dame church in Arcachon? I 'd recognized its red ceiling.
I loved that church! My favorite of almost all that I visited in Arcachon and Bourdeaux.

@@f64Academy Is there a trial period for the ZSE6 panel?
You control what offends you.
Great !!!!! You are absolutely right.

Zone system won't work with cs photoshop 5 wil it? (I might asked this before, my memory isn't too, good)
No. Not the latest version. Only CC. Zone System 3 worked for CS, but that was a long time ago.
@@f64Academy ah, ok thanks. I'll try to remember so I don't keep asking lol. Looks like a great panel of actions though.
Are ever going to do another ZSE 6 Education Bundle + Extended Edition promotion?

Excellent Blake! The LUT Profile in ACR is beyond amazing, for those of us that work in projects where similarities in look & feel across the project images is very important. And yes I use ZSE as well.
The ACR LUT Profile trick is beyond amazing! Wow, Adobe has given us a phenomenal tool there. Most impressive.
Really happy to see arcachon and saint emilion in your videos ;) I’m from Bordeaux and I’m really impressed by your content ! ✅
So cool! I love visiting there too see my great friend who builds my panels 😁 such beautiful architecture and amazing people 🤩
An unrelated question - how do you get your cursor to show as it does (with yellow highlight around the pointer)?
That happens in my editing software I don't actually see that.
Thanks! This is a game changer. I was already using blend if but this took it to new level. Much appreciated.
Sweet! We have another convert :) Thanks for taking the time to watch it.
Is there a lite version of ZS6 that will work on CS6?
Unfortunately, no, I stopped supporting CS6 in 2016. It became too much to manage for the multiple panels I have created.
