I never thought about using them for that, but I made a version of these as feed bumpers for my table saw. I have those miter slot grips (no idea what they're called) where they'll lock into the sides of the slot when you tighten them from above. I like having something opposite the fence so the wood can't shift in either direction (i.e., the fence only blocks it from one side). I know there are roller guides out there, but they're usually expensive. There's also a featherboard version of this idea called the Hedgehog that has a similar Golden Ratio spiral to span nearly the full distance from miter slot to blade. Note: Look up "Hedgehog featherboard," else you'll probably get lots of Ron Jeremy results.
instructions unclear...said stick a pencil in, demonstration showed marker. now have pencil stuck in marker all tied up with string, which is hot glued to my workpiece. string is moving around dowel which is not supposed to happen per instructions. help. great video, and never even thought of using cams for simple clamping. I am making your glue up table. i have a giant 4x8 heavy as shit piece of melamine laid out on some stuff and need to mark out the 12x12 grid. looking forward to it as I have to make a 44" x 102" table top..........its gonna hang off..butttttttt oh well?
Top tip. Thanks man 🤙
