    That’s really great that your daughter gave her review of the radish. Her expression was genuine! That is awesome. I have grown French breakfast radish outside in soil and they turned out very spicy. So, I think I will try them in the Aerogarden!

    Super excited to have found your channel. I have an aero garden and I typically use it to jump start seedlings for my hydroponic grow. I can’t wait to try this out.

    Thanks for the inspiration! I love the short grow cycle. Now I'm thinking to get another Harvest garden just for those.

    I grew these and mine were spicy, not sweet at all. Still fun to grow and they grow so fast.

      They change the spice level depending on atmosphere and temperature. Maybe try harvesting a little early. My indoor temperature is between 60 and 70.
      I always get inconsistent spicy levels when I grow outside.

    Love aerogarden
    Note : Tin foil works great for the top cover
    Plus if done right can be used over and over
    Of course prob not for radish because it would rip the Tinfoil

    I will try your radish experiment....so interesting....Bravo to you for your creativity. I will try the radish but in the Sprout Seed starting/sprouting module that has 15 pods. I will let you know how it works.
    I have tremendous success with Swiss Chard in my Bounty. They grow quite tall and are very quick to harvest......I usually get 5 or more harvests over 4 months......9 pods of chard is several meals each week for a family of three. Aerogarden is so cool !

      Growing radish in seed starting tray is very interesting. Thanks for the details about growing chard.

    Do the radishes grow long because of the shape of the pods or because of the radish type?

    • @aerogardenexperiments
      @aerogardenexperiments  3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      It's because of the type of radish. French breakfast radishes grow long. But pod also changes the shape. We have to pull the plant slightly to make sure the radish grows above the pod.

    I never thought of growing radishes! And you sauté the radishes and the greens, so the greens are OK to eat? I so enjoyed your videos thank you so much.❤️

    • @aerogardenexperiments
      @aerogardenexperiments  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Yes, greens are absolutely OK to eat. I found that radish greens are more nutritious than radishes.

      Hi, I just followed what Aerogarden recommended, i.e. 8ml at the beginning and one more 8ml on day 14.

    Hi! I'm growing the same radishes. I noticed the grow sponges I have don't have a deep hole. I couldn't tell from your video if it was if you had the same issue. Only 2 days and they are sprouting. My concern is they are to close to the top and will not grow properly

    • @aerogardenexperiments
      @aerogardenexperiments  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The hole on the sponges I use is quarter inch deep. As long as the roots penetrate into the sponge, you are good. We really need the stem above the sponge. So, I think it should be fine but please keep an eye on whether the roots are penetrating into the sponge. If the seedlings couldn't push the roots down, you may need to help the seedlings by opening the sponge and reposition them.

    Do you keep pulling the radish once it starts to grow.
