The Weather Channel - Local on the 8's 8/25/17

  • It looks like The Weather Channel brought the "red mode" back on intelliStar 2 units and on the national feed. It's been absent for over two years and finally brought back for Hurricane coverage all night long. Hurricane Harvey exceeded the Weather Channel's forecast. It's now a category 4 hurricane with winds sustained at 130 miles per hour. A slight variation of the 2013 Storm Alert theme is featured in the local forecast. Locally, I'm getting the remnants of invest 92L, which is increasing the chance of rain. Those folks in the path of this storm, heed warnings and stay safe!

    There was a glitch in November 2016 that showed the red mode.

      @AWNetwork I think that was because of Winter Storm Argos.
