Here from Hurricane Laura. Every time I hear this theme on the television, nothing but a sense of dread, and urgency comes from it. Damn, it's a cool theme, but the implications behind it are always scary. Good luck Louisiana.
I remember being in harvey. It scared me so much. When I went back to see the damage there wAs a notification on the weather channel live for hurricane Irma
Theme song brings me flashbacks of out running Irma (drove from FL to CT)… at the time Sirius xm had the weather channel streaming their coverage 24/7 on the radio and remember hearing just the audio only for the local on the 8s every 10 min… cool theme but gives off chills at the same time 😅
Irma made landfall on the Florida Keys as a low category four major hurricane, then made a second landfall on Naples, Florida as a category three major hurricane. Irma pushed it’s way up through Orlando, Florida about category one hurricane strength before causing many problems to the rest of Florida, Georgia, and South Carolina as a tropical storm. Where I live in Charleston, South Carolina, we had SIX FEET of storm surge and the flooding was severe.
Brings back memories of the day Irma was 1 hour away from hitting the VI and the lady who worked at the hospital wouldn’t let me bring my dog inside so I decided last minute to go to my aunts house instead of staying with my parents in the hospital. Tina if you see this I’m still upset like bruh the other dude had a whole entire 75+ lbs dog and the boss dude gave me permission the day before 🙄🙄
I remember I was in that storm it was pretty bad and well the storm just shifted and come for us Orlando and it was bad my door was literally sounded like someone was banging on the door and my window broke but we fix it but it was kind of fun all of my family was there
Top winds i stood in was 45mph when i was 10, and 90mph in Hurricane Florence Edit: the 45mph was a non-thunderstorm/Tropical Cyclone Wind Gust that kicked up some dust
Rare Trickz No it wasn't.. Even places that didn't get hit with the eye were affected badly because the storm was so big. Miami and Fort Lauderdale got 109 mph wind gusts. Miami had some pretty bad storm surge. Naples and the keys were hit even worse though.. They got winds over 135 mph
When I hear that Red Mode theme:
I am glued to the television.
*gets blined*
Same XD
Same here lol

Two comments: 1. Irma was only a tornado and storm surge event for the most part, and 2. TBH this is even scarier than Matthew from last October.
You know what I liked about Matthew (even though I live nowhere close to the coast)?
His "grin" on the infrared satellite imagery.
Why is the red mode music so catchy?
