I live in a studio apartment, about 400sqft. I have like 30 consoles, including handhelds. They're all hooked up, and ready. Because the place is so small, I go with everdrives where I can. I concentrate mostly on Atari. I fix 5200 sticks, and sell lots of Atari things on eBay. My closets are full of parts! I am striving for a condo. Recent world events have delayed those plans. When I do get one, I will have a dedicated gaming and geeking room. I even have a new in box Xbox fridge I'm saving for it! Great room. I like the attention to the finer details like built in HDMI. You have a nice CRT also. I am a CRT purist with everything up to Dreamcast. I actually found a HDTV CRT with a built-in vcr and DVD player. I like how you face your games. I used to work in a video store, I prefer seeing the front of the games rather than the spines. Your custom artwork is incredible. The bar is quite lovely too.
I’ve always said to Scott that if we ever needed to downsize I’d be perfectly fine with not have a separate living room and that our game room would be our living room. You work with what you have. I bet you make the most of all 400sqft. I hope you get you condo soon though 🤞🏻The housing market is outta control. I hope it settles soon. Thanks so much for the kind words. Very cool game room. I stumbled on this video just now, also cool to see some youtubers from NB, I lived in Moncton for years but moved about 15 years ago. As you can tell from my channel I'm a Maritimer. When I heard Spin It at the start of the video It brought me back to when it was a tiny little store on the corner across from where it is now. I bought and sold so many CDs there. I got a signed Arch Enemy CD at that store for 10 bucks. Seems no one looked inside the booklet. haha

Cool game room, I had a gameroom at my old house, but now we moved, and the past 1.5 years I have been remodeling the house, so the basement will be last, so my whole gameroom is still sitting in boxes in the basement, but one day, I’ll have it again
You will get there I’m sure of it. Eventually I know we will downsize, I’m not looking forward to it but it’ll be an excuse to create a whole new gameroom :)
Love the game room, you can see the love that you guys put into it. Nothing better than a couple enjoying their hobby together. My biggest gripe as married man is that my wife barely cares about playing unless is Mario party lol.
Oh I couldn’t agree more! We love gaming together and I’ll tell ya, I didn’t enjoy gaming with my husband at first either, many because I didn’t know how to use dual analog and didn’t want to look stupid. Maybe if your wife had a little more confidence and tried out a game until she got used to it she might. I have found a whole new appreciation for the hobby
@@alphaohenriquez I played Skyrim. Gave me enough freedom to explore at first without feeling just dropped into the choas although the first is a bit chaotic. I made myself a challenge to get better so I let our audience pick my games for an entire month

Awww you guys ❤️❤️❤️ We have put a lot of love into making it our own and I’m so happy people are loving it. A little bit of all our passions in one room. Scott was collecting comic books before games and we have a few comic books Alex made for us when he was little. It’s the cutest! GOTG would have a field day here. We’d make sure to have 6 full kegs for sure lol.

Thanks so much! That’s the great thing about building your own game-room from scratch is that it can be whatever you want it to be instead of prefab shelving. Don’t get me wrong, they are great but not ideal for every configuration. With our bulkheads on the wall and a few quirks in the general layout we knew custom would be our best bet to maximize our storage :)

This room is the size of a lot of peoples entire living space in flats in the UK, to live in the USA/Canada where you have giant basements that you can dedicate solely to a hobby. Room looks good though :)

I bet it is an amazing room and we absolutely worry about the day we have to sell, when the house becomes more burden then it’s worth but because my husband and I are such big collectors I could totally see us making out main living space a game room . @@RetroRivals hehehe I actually have a quest 2 since three months now. usually all goes well but I destroyed one flower pot and softly "kicked" my cat two times. but he is okay and doesn't think of leaving me alone in that room :-D the quest 2 is great fun with or without a PC hooked up. especially since a friend of mine bought his own quest 2 and we can play together =)

I think reproduction boxes are fantastic and that’s what I use for my personal collection and I think it’s perfectly ok because I’m not going to resell them or anything like that. Your game room is over the top and I love it!
Exactly Lego Larry. We don’t plan on getting rid of ours either but it looks so darn nice display, why not. The alternative is way more expensive and doesn’t really make a difference

We have put a lot of love into making it our own and I’m so happy people are loving it. A little bit of all our passions in one room. Scott was collecting comic books before games and we have a few comic books Alex made for us when he was little. It’s the cutest!
GOTG would have a field day here. We’d make sure to have 6 full kegs for sure lol.

Absolutely amazing gaming space! This is GOALS!! Also, I feel your pain on the Dreamcast stuff. I've been trying to rebuild my collection for about 3 years, kicking myself for trading games in back in college. If I wanted new games, that meant trading in old ones. Good luck!

Thanks so much! That’s the great thing about building your own game-room from scratch is that it can be whatever you want it to be instead of prefab shelving. Don’t get me wrong, they are great but not ideal for every configuration. With our bulkheads on the wall and a few quirks in the general layout we knew custom would be our best bet to maximize our storage :)

This room is the size of a lot of peoples entire living space in flats in the UK, to live in the USA/Canada where you have giant basements that you can dedicate solely to a hobby. Room looks good though :)
Thanks so much. Yeah we are pretty fortunate to have the space and fully realize that. We have loved it some much smaller spaces as well and it would make collecting very very hard.
@@RetroRivals Yep, in the UK i have a 2 bedroom house and can only dedicate a small 10ft x 8ft room to my collection :( . To afford a bigger house would be very expensive.

I bet it is an amazing room and we absolutely worry about the day we have to sell, when the house becomes more burden then it’s worth but because my husband and I are such big collectors I could totally see us making out main living space a game room . @@RetroRivals hehehe I actually have a quest 2 since three months now. usually all goes well but I destroyed one flower pot and softly "kicked" my cat two times. but he is okay and doesn't think of leaving me alone in that room :-D the quest 2 is great fun with or without a PC hooked up. especially since a friend of mine bought his own quest 2 and we can play together =)
@@las10plagas oh that’s super awesome! I tried to get my 14 year old to want one for Christmas last year but selfishly he wanted a dual monitor set up. I’m settling for the psvr right now.
@@RetroRivals 😂 wait a bit for the new quest or another headset. there are even headsets that can project your whole body into the game.. virtually I mean :-P buuut they cost a fortune... it's worth researching before the buy :)
