    Of course we want to see fittings! Most people can follow a pattern, but it is another story to make it suit each body so any hints and suggestions of what to look out for would be incredibly welcomed! Both on other people (both male and female) and one’s self. 💖😊💖

      I realized while editing that I made great over view videos but terrible tutorials. I plan on fixing that soon. I also have friends that have volunteered to be in fitting videos. SO lots of good content coming!

    Thank you for doing this. I'm starting prep work for a doublet and men's fashion seems overlooked on youtube for this period.

      It's overlooked in every time period. Which is why I really wanted to make this series

    Is it weird I want both kinds of videos? Like, give me the overview so I feel comfortable tackling the garment in the first place, them6 the tutorial so I can actually...""do the thing**...
    Loved this, so dang much!! Can't wait to see more!

      @@scrappypatterns Sweet! Definitely excited to see him more, as well as more of the project. I would love to get into this niche community of recreating older garments, but I'm having some trouble jumping on the "very feminine garments" train because I'm non-binary. Seeing you make a doublet on your channel, even for someone with a masculine figure, made my day and gave me some hope.

      When I do my detailed series I plan on making Doublets/pants for myself because I *might* have outgrown my boy clothes. Those videos should start going up July ish...

      I also have some plans to do 1570's women's wear which pulls a lot from Menswear. I get not wanting to be hyper feminine all the time, I love my fancy dresses but sometimes I just want to wear pants.

      @@scrappypatterns That's awesome! I look forward to it. Maybe it'll help me feel less camera-shy too 🧐🤔

    How you made the pattern for this would be helpful to know! thanks

      All the pattern blocks are from Mathew Gnagy's Modern Maker Vol 2. I'll be sure to include more information on that when I do my detailed series.

    Why 13 or 21 buttons?

    • @scrappypatterns
      @scrappypatterns  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Because even numbers of buttons looks off, and if you do 11 they're too far apart and more than 21 is too close together.
      It also has a lot to do with how I measure out button placement. I'll be sure to include more details on that when I make my detailed Doublet video
