Rich, what happens when you press Radio Statue button? my screen box is blank? I cannot get mine to work does everything but will not display frequency or screen, seems like not connect to radio :( yet comport and audio all correct. I use the Icom 7300 with WSJT-X with Gridtracker all works fine. Now confused of UK !
Nice to hear from you Philip. Radio status only works if you are using it to control a remote radio. Mine doesn't work either using a serial connection (USB). 73 and good dx!
@@HamRadioAdventures My WFView will not read the 7300? so is your WFview not using the USB to control it? I thought the setting would be the same for any program?
@@PhilG0BVD yes I'm using a serial connection. Is your radio setup? Here is an indepth guide: docs.google.com/presentation/d/1L7R5kuRm-3afzIbbl8Z1h7XHAc__U4Mt9795nZiHHW4/edit#slide=id.p1
@@HamRadioAdventures followed the instructions made some of the changes now my read out does not work on LOG4OM :( will give it a break been on it 4 hours
Just bought a 7300 and followed your screenshots and video and worked first time no issue. So nice to have instructions that work. Thank you for doing this. checking out the rest of your videos and subscriber.
@@mikemcdonald5147 congratulations and thank you for commenting. If you are working digital modes, you’ll be very happy with this radio. Not to mention it has terrific audio on side band. Never any complaints on audio. Best 73 and good DX!
This was an excellent video. I appreciate that you went through the program and thought about what features users would appreciate. FYI if you turn on CI-V Transceive on the radio, then you will not need to define the CI-V address manually. It’ll work automatically. This will also make manual tuning on the radio dial update the UI a bit faster. Again, excellent video, much appreciated! -E de W6EL

It's nice to hear from you and thank you for commenting. Great question, but no I never used SDR console. I did have an external SDR at one time and I was using the IC-7300, a DXPatrol and HDSDR, see: k0pir.us/installing-inrad-rx7300/ Yours should work as well if not better. Best 73 and good DX!
tnx for the nice video, just have a question about the audio: Is it coming up from your TRX or from the audio output of your PC ? I don't get any audio out of my PC when using wfview. Best 73, Ingo
It's good to hear from you and thanks for commenting here. You must be trying to use it as remote. I have not been using it that way, but a very good resource is forum.wfview.org/ GL and best 73!
@@HamRadioAdventures so I’ve figured out, from wfview, that the host computer will not have audio, just by nature of design. On the remote computer it says it’s connected to the radio yet nothing is happening on the screen. I’ve posted it on wfview with a log. Just waiting to hear back. Also have you tried SDR-Control paired with wfview? I’ve seen it done, and I have the app able to control my radio, just not getting audio on that app either.
@@michaelt.9372 I haven't tried SDR-Console with Wfview. That sounds interesting. I am still having trouble with my 7610. When using it for remote, if my connection drops off, I can't get the radio to come up again unles someone at home power cycles it for me. I'll ship it to Icom when I get back home in June.
