I love street preachers, especially Ray Comfort, and I love that wonderful D.L. Moody quote.

God bless you for siding with street preachers, just praying more and asking for boldness from the Lord he will give you through his spirit

I head up a group that does "street preaching" it has a twist on it and is extremely effective.
We have a 12 x 3' banner that reads JESUS SAVES / FREE PRAYER, we set up in intersections where people stop for red lights and traffic is slow.
All we do is stand and wave at people as they pass by, when they stop for a red light the will often roll their windows down and ask for prayer... We invite them to stop.
It is very low impact, we don't preach using a PA system, we have a speaker that plays music and nothing else. In 4 years we have prayed with over 5000 people. I can't tell you how many salvations we have had, we also heal the sick, cast out devils and have had many many baptized in the Holy Ghost. All of it done on street corners. At times we have had people waiting in line for us to pray with them. Many were pastors needing prayer.
The whole ministry is non threatening and non confrontational. It seems to draw people very well. A majority even the unsaved have told us that God convicted them or urged them to come to talk with us. Once they stop we are friendly and give them a chance to talk, we share the gospel as we are talking. It is very very effective.
You can check out our channel and videos of how we go about our ministry, hopefully it will give you ideas to use in your ministry sa well. As long as the gospel is preached, people are saved and added to the kingdom... It is effective.

I would add that the HS moves people’s hearts, not people. We just sow the seeds. Too often, it becomes about the preacher, who somehow thinks it’s his/her personal job to save the world (also, already done for us.)

One of the problems I have with street preachers is that if they are going to preach repentance, shouldn’t they explain what it is or what it means first? Because children don’t understand this.

Practical Faith I’ll say I’m not sure about the overall appeal for the consciousness of the crowd. You used the example of the couple going out on a date. while we should do our best to make peace with everyone (Rm 12:18) the gospel message is inherently offensive and it’s a cumbersome burden to try and preach sensitively. I know that wasn’t your exact point but that’s just how I feel about it.
If you could look into the 7 mountain mandate that would be cool

    • @PracticalFaith

@@jellysandjamz250 Overall I agree with you. My main point is to try not to build additional barriers between you and the person you're trying to reach. I've seen people preach and it seemed that their goal was to offend people. But we don't have to try to do that. It'll just happen because of the nature of the Gospel.
I hadn't heard of the 7 mountain mandate. I just looked it up. It would be an interesting topic to dive into. Thanks!

Depends on what your goal is. It appears the goal is to reinforce one’s idea that the world is evil by provoking fights. It’s rarely a conversation. It’s one sided, and yelling at everyone they’re going to hell.

If a preacher is following his calling from God biblically, your "public" criticism of his style could be problematic (Prov 6:19). Do you have some biblical references for your tips?
Some preachers are called to preach harshly (Jer 4:4, Jude 23) signage and all. I think I'd pray about it a while before uploading these types of videos.

I don't like it when they get aggressive and demeaning to people. Like David Lynn. Great message. Great perfection in content. Bad attitude. Too confrontational. I remember when he wasn't like that. I remember when he brought compassion to strangers. Now he calls sinners names like hypocryte and bigot.

Jesus is Lord God Almighty clothed in unsinful humanity and He is the author of eternal life to all who trust Him alone for salvation.
Saving repentance is realizing that you are a sinner deserving of God's just punishment in Hell and turn (repent) from whatever you trusted in before, if indeed you trusted in anything; to trusting in the person and finished work of Christ alone for salvation.
Jonah 3: 10 calls turning from sins, "works".
"And God saw their works that they turned from their wicked way..."
Repentance of sins is a lifetime of works and has never saved anyone or contributed in any way to salvation.
    That's for service, not salvation!
All these street preachers have the wrong repentance in regards to salvation.

My very first video was on this. If a street preacher travels, but doesn't maintain contact with converts or direct them to a local assembly, he's missing a very important part of the great commission. We are to make disciples.

In the new earth, we shall eat from the tree of life and worship God in his new moons and his sabbaths. Revelation 22:14, Colossians 2:16, Isaiah 66:22,23. After being circumcised in the heart, males must be circumcised in the flesh to enter the sanctuary of the Lord Jesus. Ezekiel 44:9. You must be circumcised after the manner of the Lord Jesus to be saved. As you read the law of Moses every sabbath day, you would learn more and obey if you have turned to God. Acts 15:21. It is a sin: to not get circumcised in the flesh as a male, to wear mixed clothing, to eat pork, shellfish and other abominations. Animal sacrifices and stoning sinners is the law of death that was done away with. No more eye for eye, etc. Judge Jesus will cast many false Christians into the lake of fire. Matthew 7:21-23.
