    Just bought my wife a 2020 Premier 2LZ. She loves it. As a point of reference her previous CUV was a Cadillac SRX Luxury Edition. A 2012 I bought her that was a Certified lease return. She told me flat out she likes her 2020 Equinox Premier better. I pointed out that the Equinox has less soft points where the 2012 SRX has more soft covered areas. She said, I didn't even notice. I don't care. I really like my new CUV much better than the 2012 Cadillac.

    Best in class cargo holding at 81 cu ft with front passenger seat folded.
    The entry price of about $16,000 on autotrader is icing on the cake.

    There is room for a compact umbrella in the front doors below the armrest and above the bottle holder.

    We have one of these. Great cargo storage. We routinely haul a family of 4 plus a dog on long trips. There is additional storage under the cargo floor.

      I love that storage under the cargo floor it’s a great grocery getter

    That section in the door you say they could have cut out for more storage ... take a look at the symbol under the armrest - it's actually an opening where you can store a compact umbrella, and if it's wet, it drips out and drains through the weep holes in the bottom of the door. So, TECHNICALLY there is some extra storage there - it's just kinda specialized. (I thought it was weird too.)

    i hate all the driving modes too...what are you supposed to do, push a button when a truck is barreling down on you? when i stamp on the gas peddle thats a sign i want to go as fast as possible. i shouldnt have to select the "truck barreling down" mode

    • @Pickuptrucktalk

      I hate driving modes on all vehicles car accelerates a little different once you learn your particular cars behavior it becomes better

    The backseats recline. There are two positions.

    This is a compact crossover, not a midsize. That would be the Blazer.

    • @Pickuptrucktalk
      @Pickuptrucktalk  5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I believe the Trax is the compact crossover. This is a second midsize SUV from Chevy.

      Pickup Truck Plus SUV Talk Here is the Chevrolet crossover/SUV size ranking: Trax (subcompact) Equinox (compact) Blazer (midsize) Traverse (large) Tahoe and Suburban (large, but body-on-frame and not uni-body like the previous four).

      @@Pickuptrucktalk Especially with both Traverse and Blazer now above, I think that Equinox is now technically 'compact'. It's the same level as Honda CRV or Toyota RAV4 (despite being a couple inch longer).

    • @normt5463
      @normt5463 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Trax is subcompact.
      But.thr Equinox is largest compact in the segment at 81 cu ft of cargo with front passenger seat folded flat.

    Poor storage are you kidding much better storage that other much larger crossovers not a perfect vehicle but storage is no problem engine is not the most powerful but if you take advantage of the torque and learn how to accelerate properly it’s not bad at all if you want to keep the same car for the rest of your life and willing to pay 7-10k more by a RAV4, but if you’re like me and trade it every 4 five years for the price, equinox stacks up much better than you would think it will resell for a couple of thousand less, but cost you much less in the beginning.

    I would hope the wireless charging works with Apple? You mentioned android.

    • @Pickuptrucktalk
      @Pickuptrucktalk  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sorry, yes both. My Apple iPhone 7 doesn’t work, but it is pretty old. Newer phones work and I’ve seen my colleagues do it.

      @@Pickuptrucktalk , thanks, I was thinking that was the case. When I got my Malibu Premier (2016) I was so excited the charging pocket
      was about 5 or 6 inches back from the gear shift on the console. Then I was so disappointed to find it would only work with Android. Still have the Malibu and there's not been an update to use it with Apple:).

    This is not the car for you unless you wanna fork out 4-6 grand for a new engine when it needs one at a little after 100K. This is the car for you if you like experiencing the ol GM electrical rats nest of problems these have. This is the car for you if you have 0 idea of what a vehicle is or what other good options are out there.
