Wow, that was awesome! You really covered all bases, even a tour of the glove box and sun visors, plus the graphics and fades were very professional-looking.
Just because people like that shouldn't have kids doesn't mean that thia feature shouldn't exist. On Average every year 37 kids die by being left in hot cars. Should we seriously just shit on 37 innocent deaths a year that could be easily avoided?
What about your clothes or gym bag? Maybe some paperwork or a suitcase or lap top you put back there. Don’t forget your stuffed animal giraffe 🦒. Doesn’t have to be for kids is all I’m saying lol.
I just purchased the LT 1.5. It has remote start and the universal remotes. The LT 1.5 is nicely equipped. Only lacking leather, AC seats, moon roof, 8” infotainment, and charging pad. This trim is very nicely equipped.
The only thing I would change about the Equinox is that I would offer leather on lower trims. There is no reason that you should have to go to the top trim to get leather
that's how most other manufacturers are doing it. On CRV you can only get leather on the EX-L and Touring, not LX or EX. On Forester, you can only get leather on Limited and Touring, not base, premium, or Sport.
This is definetly the most bang for your buck. You can get a loaded premier FWD with the 1.5 for $38,000 MSRP. Rav4 has a $48,000 msrp for a loaded one and you still dont get as much. Chevy did a great job!
Check clearance prices now in July. The prices are rock bottom. You can get a $34K AWD for 26K. That has sunroof and nav system and bigger display. No one will ever pay MSRP with Chevy, usually at least 5 grand off that any time of year.
I have a 1.5t with 75k miles... other than the infotainment screen, the car has been problem free and AMAZING mpg's for a car this size. I consistently get 32-35mpgs at 75mph. It's just a fwd LT, but has LOTS of sweet options. Laggy turbo at less than 2200rpms but power builds quickly after that. Premium fuel exhibits the best fuel econ and power. I have a 2016 Malibu Premier. The entire set up in this Equinox is just about exactly the layout in my Malibu. The only exception seems to be the wireless charger location is a pocket about 5 or 6 inches back from the gear shift on the console in my Malibu, and of course the newer interface of the Infotainment software. Looks wise all the same..which is not a bad thing:)
You can defeat auto stop by putting the car in L instead of D and set it in 6th gear. It will run like a automatic and the auto stop does not work in L.
Compared to the GMC SLT Terrain fully loaded The Equinox gives more bang for the buck. The Ventilated seats are not available in the SLT Terrain. However the 2.0 is definitely worth the upgrade over the 1.5.
The auto stop system is infact defeatable. Put the shifter to low, hit the + to 6 or 9, depending on the transmission, so it will cycle through all gears...and boom, your auto stop is disabled. Comes in handy with misurable stop and go Toronto traffic....
I have a 2013 Chevy Equinox LT. I bought it used. It still looks brand new. I'm looking to trade it in for an 18 or 19. I'm so glad they put air vents in the back seat of the newer ones. I was a Cadillac-Chevy-Buick owner for many years until SOMEONE suggested I test a CX-9. I wish Buick sold a 3 row long wheelbase crossover on this platform-something like Mazda is doing with the CX-8 (long wheelbase CX-5, with a third row and a diesel engine option.) I admire Buick for trying to sell a Chinese vehicle instead, but I think its safe to assume those vehicles will depreciate too quickly. Id like to see reviews of Buick Lacrosse and Regal GS when y’all have the opportunity. Enjoyed the review. I expected the Equinox to get better once they started platform sharing with Cadillac CT5.
They missed an important conversation of the start stop system. For instance if you were stuck in traffic let’s say in Los Angeles in the summer how well does that air-conditioner hold up. Or if you’re out in the desert let’s say somewhere in Arizona the same thing. You can be stuck in traffic for a half hour up to an hour at times bumper-to-bumper. I’m saying not moving at all.
Kens616.. I hear you big times. The only way the AC works is with the engine running. The AC compressor works only when the engine is running. The Blow/Fan is connected to the battery, the fan turns off when you turn the car/truck off or turn the switch off. If you live in Arizona like I do and it's 100 or hotter and stuck in traffic and you have NO A/C cause of the Stop Start system, it's going to be nasty. I have rented a couple of cars with Stop Start and I had come to a stop light and the engine turned off and so did the A/C and it was in the 90's, and it was getting hot in the car.

Instead of saying something outright negative, we generally offer some kind of comparison to its top rivals (like the safety system situation for the Equinox). Thanks for the feedback!

Just purchased a 2019 equinox in December 60 days later with 2800 miles the turbo froze. Sounds like a common problem in cold weather. The shop had several in with mine
I was test-driving a used 2016 model today. I was approaching to the red light, and a truck ahead of me, that had stopped. I pushed the break to stop. My speed was (may be 10 KM/h). the car decided to accelerate on its own instead of stopping. I pushed the break even harder, but the car did not stop. and hit the truck ahead. I GOOGLE-d this acceleration issue with Equinox, and I found other drivers reporting it too.
Gave up on chevy awhile ago. After what I went through and am still going through with the shit transmission they put into the 2010 models chevy will never make another dollar off me
Next time when talking about the nav radio and my touch screen don’t stop moving your hand so much it’s distracting and makes one feel I’m on an airplane and the flight attendant is showing where the exits are. Otherwise excellent info video
Seems like you would be doing this A LOT on a regular day of driving in a city. I've noticed on these types of start/stop that you can often trick it by not pressing too hard on the pedal. We've played around with it on the new Buick Encore we have.
Watch the video by savage geese about the Equinox. He talks about the poor construction and says they are horrible unreliable vehicles that will require very pricey repairs a money pit. He is not alone. Many auto repairman say to avoid at all costs. Car Wizard is another who says do not buy you will be sorry.

My speed was (may be 10 KM/h). the car decided to accelerate on its own instead of stopping. I pushed the break even harder, but the car did not stop. and hit the truck ahead. I GOOGLE-d this acceleration issue with Equinox, and I found other drivers reporting it too.
What did you tell the dealer where you test drove it?
Lisa G I reported to the collision centre exactly as it happened (in my description of even. The dealer salesman was with me in the car)
good nice i like it so much 👍👌
I love my Equinox 2019😘
Congrats on getting your Equinox!
I got the remote start on the LT model
Yes as an option
Gave up on chevy awhile ago. After what I went through and am still going through with the shit transmission they put into the 2010 models chevy will never make another dollar off me
yeah same here, had a 2011 Cruze and that thing was a POS. Used to be a diehard Chevy fan but now I’m a mopar fan lol
I have 2014 cruze. Last 2 yrs put about 4k into keeping it running. Chevy is very low on my want list. But I commend u guys on your great reviews
where is the cd player? nice car but its a NO without a cd player!!
Naturally E Who still uses CDs?? Lol
Most people dobt use CD... They have satellite radio or stream from their phone or pandora
I still use my CD's but they think everyone uses their phones... I prefer hard copy of my music and movies.
Why do the lights flicker like that ?
It's an effect caused by the cameras frame rate and the cars lights syncing up
Next time when talking about the nav radio and my touch screen don’t stop moving your hand so much it’s distracting and makes one feel I’m on an airplane and the flight attendant is showing where the exits are. Otherwise excellent info video
The auto start/stop is defeatable. Just put it in low & shift manually.
Seems like you would be doing this A LOT on a regular day of driving in a city. I've noticed on these types of start/stop that you can often trick it by not pressing too hard on the pedal. We've played around with it on the new Buick Encore we have.
I don't see any Kia reviews, but Hyundai. Why is that?
We don't work with Kia yet but we hopefully will sometime this year!
@@CarConfections good. You give good reviews and don't talk so fast that information is missed. Thanks.
@@rett1015 I was considering buying this chevy or a kia sorrento. Whats wrong with the kia engines?
@@rett1015 GM recalls are worst than KIA engines
Watch the video by savage geese about the Equinox. He talks about the poor construction and says they are horrible unreliable vehicles that will require very pricey repairs a money pit. He is not alone. Many auto repairman say to avoid at all costs. Car Wizard is another who says do not buy you will be sorry.
Great suv... get the 2.0 turbo.
Premium fuel the 2.0 sucks though. There are many 2.0 turbos that dont need premium
Can use regular. They recommend! Going to trade in for BMW. Cheap interior ....not as great as I thought.
I'm reading there are big issues with transmission reliability with this vehicle. Also that chevrolet is not standing behind their product when customers are bringing the lemons in.
Not sure what you mean by fan boy garbage but here's what some owners have to say.

On Star ?
I’m here bc I saw this in pawn stars 🤣😳
Is this in Canada ??
No Kentucky, USA
Ok cool
All are Turbos ... I don't like that ... more things to heat up and go wrong ... might be a deal-killer for me.
How roomy is the back seats
That information is towards the end of the video if you didn't make it that far
I thought for 2019 Chevy included a switch to turn off the start/stop system, no button is a deal breaker for me!!
So far the only 2019 GM vehicle I've seen the switch on is the Buick Envision. We agree that it should be rolled out across the entire lineup
Does the high end still require premium fuel
It is recommended on the 2.0L engine but not required
How did you get the lights next to the headlights to strobe?
Thats and effect caused by the cameras refresh rate matching with the headlights refresh rate. So unfortunately it was not actually happening!
@@CarConfections I know! Thanks
Where is it made for USA mexico or canada
Some are made in Canada and others are made in Mexico. Thanks for watching!
i would buy one if it did not have that STUPID STOP AND START ON IT WITH NO WAY TO TURN IT OFF !!!!!
Its diesel??
How about a lock on the glove box oh thats a 1000 doller option
THE BUTTONS LOOKS LIKE KITCHEN BUTTONS
I don't get difference with blazer
This look like the traverse
Are these guys twins. They both act the same sound the same and are both boney
