A lot of people complain that this episode was filler because it didn't move the plot forward much. But I enjoyed how much more character driven it is.
Considering Tom Hiddleston's comments about episodes 4 and 5 shifting the story's direction, it makes sense that this episode slows things down and focuses on our two Lokis to prepare us for that shift. I missed Mobius when I realized that the episode ended and he didn't show up outside of the recap portion. Hopefully he gets to shine next episode.
the reason why having a series is so nice is they can have slow eps and really dive into the characters relationships. the pay off is worth it and I loved the ep so

Action was on point. VFX for Lamentis was incredible. Nice throwback to Robin Hood. Was great hearing Loki talk fondly of his mother. Confirmed that most TVA are all Variants. Definitely felt like Doctor Who.

In the comics the TVA exists in the Null Time Zone(i think thats what its called anyway) and its outside of time. It isnt at the end of time or anywere else in time it just is. That of course doesnt mean anything and it could still be in the Quantom Realm in the MCU

Along the lines of that thing you said about things already occurred since they are in the future...I have been theorizing since endgame that the variant Loki is the one that actually dies in Infinity War so I think Sylvie is actually main series Loki who is still alive disguised as another Variant since Loki is supposed to be dead by the sacred timeline. I think when he says love is dagger during this scene I immediately thought of the scene where he attacks Thanos with his dagger and pledges his undying fidelity while looking toward Thor so I'm thinking of a connection of why Loki attacks with his dagger because that is his definition of love and he dies for Thor hoping to save him because he thinks Thor dies with him from in the TVA file. It also gives more meaning to his promise 'the sun will shine on us again.'
Who else thinks this episode is a trick by Loki because we see the jump pad destroyed from her perspective in his hands and after all he did select to teleport them there. We still do not know if he did that intentionally or not, the pad could very well still be intact with power and it was just an illusion in front of her to give the impression that they are in a desperate scenario so he can test her resolve and put her at his control. I was really expecting him to give up and come clean with it when the escape shuttle was actually destroyed, something like, _"oh well that was a fun ride or I guess The jig Is up!"_ And then just pull out the pad in front of her.
11:08 I'm a bit surprised by how much of a power buff Loki's got in this series tbh, even tho it's not the first time we've seen him use those powers in the MCU: - he used telekinesis in Thor: The Dark World after learning of Frigga's death - he looked in Valkyrie's mind in Thor: Ragnorak to see Hela killing her sisters/ the other Valkyries

The stones don't work outside their own timeline iirc. Loki has Telekinesis as seen in Dark World when he used it to blow away the furniture in his cell after he got angry and Episode 2 when he used it on the Roomba

i definitely think that she could be the Sylvie Lushton version of enchantress who Loki gave powers too. I could also see them merge aspects of Lady Loki and Enchantress for the MCU
I think Loki does have a Time Stone and the reason he got drunk on the train and didn't escape at the end of the ep. was because he's rewinding those 12 hours over and over to get Sylvie to open up and trust him and starts being less careful in new loops à la Palm Springs (2020) - the TVA wouldn't come to them there if he keeps rewinding back bc apocalypse. inb4 episode 4 starts with them falling onto that mattress again.
It’s not a “one-er,” there were several cuts. it that was an amazing last sequence. The gig is up and now both of the Loki’s are going to be going after the TVA. This is going to get really interesting gentleman! How much of what we just saw there was an illusion by one of the Loki’s? Really good point by Hector about the fact that the TVA is outside of time and that somebody could be plucked from today and end up doing hundreds of years at the TVA.
It's kind of funny they specify what year it is when they're on another planet. I know it's all time-travel and such, but Earth years don't seem relevant on an alien planet.
It is not for the other planet, it is so we can map/compare to what is happening on Earth at that time. Side notes: (I) When on another planet, the term "Sol Day" (Solar Day) is used by humans - This = one day of the planet you are on (You basically switch to local time). (II) The rovers on Mars use clocks built to count Mars time & NASA staff involved with Mars projects have watches that use Mars time. 🙂🤓

We still do not know if he did that intentionally or not, the pad could very well still be intact with power and it was just an illusion in front of her to give the impression that they are in a desperate scenario so he can test her resolve and put her at his control.
I was really expecting him to give up and come clean with it when the escape shuttle was actually destroyed, something like, _"oh well that was a fun ride or I guess The jig Is up!"_
And then just pull out the pad in front of her.
11:08 I'm a bit surprised by how much of a power buff Loki's got in this series tbh, even tho it's not the first time we've seen him use those powers in the MCU:
- he used telekinesis in Thor: The Dark World after learning of Frigga's death
- he looked in Valkyrie's mind in Thor: Ragnorak to see Hela killing her sisters/ the other Valkyries

Was I the only one who thought when Loki stopped that falling pillar from crushing them it didn't look like he moved it, it looked like he re-wound time & just put it back? He DID pick up a time stone in the 1st episode... imjusayin

I feel like when he found the drawer full of Infinity stones, he had the time stone in his hand and they cut away without showing he dropped it
If you watch closely they did have a pretty loud sound effect of dropping back into the tray.
The stones don't work outside their own timeline iirc. Loki has Telekinesis as seen in Dark World when he used it to blow away the furniture in his cell after he got angry and Episode 2 when he used it on the Roomba
@@justinemartinez4926 have they established the stones not working outside of their own timeline outside of the comics? Like right now it's implied they don't work within the TVA but not necessarily because of the timeline they're from. I could be wrong though

i definitely think that she could be the Sylvie Lushton version of enchantress who Loki gave powers too. I could also see them merge aspects of Lady Loki and Enchantress for the MCU

Miss Minutes is the real breakout star of Loki.
I think Loki does have a Time Stone and the reason he got drunk on the train and didn't escape at the end of the ep. was because he's rewinding those 12 hours over and over to get Sylvie to open up and trust him and starts being less careful in new loops à la Palm Springs (2020) - the TVA wouldn't come to them there if he keeps rewinding back bc apocalypse. inb4 episode 4 starts with them falling onto that mattress again.
It’s not a “one-er,” there were several
cuts. it that was an amazing last sequence. The gig is up and now both of the Loki’s are going to be going after the TVA. This is going to get really interesting gentleman! How much of what we just saw there was an illusion by one of the Loki’s? Really good point by Hector about the fact that the TVA is outside of time and that somebody could be plucked from today and end up doing hundreds of years at the TVA.
btw, i dont think the TVA exists in the future, i think exists at the start of time, before all the timelines can begin to diverge
It's kind of funny they specify what year it is when they're on another planet. I know it's all time-travel and such, but Earth years don't seem relevant on an alien planet.
It is not for the other planet, it is so we can map/compare to what is happening on Earth at that time.
Side notes:
(I) When on another planet, the term "Sol Day" (Solar Day) is used by humans - This = one day of the planet you are on (You basically switch to local time).
(II) The rovers on Mars use clocks built to count Mars time & NASA staff involved with Mars projects have watches that use Mars time.
