Yaya, thse drum tech POV's are just sick.... TH-cam b recommending one after the other...Nice work my friend, lots of hard work Im sure but Epic to have a front row seat each night!
This is awesome! Really fascinated on the inner workings of a tech! Great to see Josh too killing it! More vids please :) Greetings from the Philippines!
Haha... love Limp Bizkit as buffer music at 35:15. Great video and shows just what it takes to put on a 1-1.5hr set even at a festival. Thanks for showing us all the hard work to make live events happen.
Awesome video man. Appreciation to the hard work you put in. Josh is a great dude to be working for too! This is the stuff most people don't think about when they go to see the artist. Thanks for sharing!
APPRICIATE IT! Yes eventually there will be all different mixes included! Monitor mix, cues, maybe even tech talk back mics included! Thanks for watching!
We need more of this . I like the video man keep up the good work man . Hope you do more videos of this we need a behind the scene with the country side . Hopefully you get big and stuff you will man take time .
I was there that weekend for the festival...KB and Josh absolutely KILLED it!!!!! That night was definitely freakin' windy and relatively cool. I rarely get cold and I remember regreting not bringing a hoody with me.
I miss doing drum tech! Cool video 😎 That’s a big drum case! Biggest one I had was a 3 Tom 2 snare and hardware drum case, 32’ kick drum had its own case. But nothing that big. Wow 😮
Amazing video, thanks for all the insights! I was actually kinda curious about the SPD & trigger setup, any chance we can get Some context or a video about that? Guessing its for gating on the Toms?
THANKS! But yeah, basically when you're listening for a note, tone, freq etc. any added vibration or buzzing or overtone will effect the true note. So, you're just literally touching the center of the head will kill anything getting in the way of tuning.
really enjoy this type of content, i always dreamed of being a drummer for a famous band or artist when i was younger but I also wished i was the drum tech for one. Would be just a fun experience to try this for a day....bucket list! Thanks for sharing and for Kane allowing it, some artists are really strict about this type of thing. One question have you ever used felt tape on the pedals for when it's wet due to the rain or the humidity? Cheers
Glad you enjoyed! And yeah, you are right about some artist, I would not be able to do this with some others.. I think years ago we probably tried a grip tape of some kind, but I think he ultimately likes being able to slide his feet around the pedals, there is just a limit when it gets too slippery for him.
As soon as I saw DW9000 pedals I was reassured that the water on them wouldn’t make a difference. DWs are never played fast, they can’t go fast! Awesome show. Sounded great!
THANK YOU! There is actually only 1 that has a quick release and its because one the rods was ran over by a road case and shattered the stem and this was the only wingnut I had spares of for now.
@ im pretty sure the paper thin crash is the same weight range as the sweet crash just with less of a taper towards the edge, but if you overplay any very thin crash it’ll eventually fail on you unfortunately How come you guys don’t use heavier crashes that project better/last longer considering the music is so heavy? I feel like sometimes when guys use sweet crashes you can barely hear them during a heavy chorus
lol. Technically no. The paper thin & K sweet crashes are just easily warped. The 3 crashes here have only seen less than a dozen shows but it's about time for a new set soon.
Matt Horn Type video!
MORE DRUM TECH POV CHANNELS LET'S GOOOOO
They're comin'!
When sound checking my kit I use the Matt Horn drum pattern too! Yeah buddy!
Yaya, thse drum tech POV's are just sick.... TH-cam b recommending one after the other...Nice work my friend, lots of hard work Im sure but Epic to have a front row seat each night!
THANKS SO MUCH! Glad you're enjoying all this!

Fantastic content! Great video. Simple but really interesting. You do an amazing job, man 🤙🏼
MUCH APPRICIATED
This is awesome!

ABSOLUTELY! THANKS FOR CHECKING IT OUT! Even at a country show LB is a hit. haha.
Josh Is my DUDDDDEEEE!!! Brodi Is Smackn the hell outta this gig!
That was pretty interesting. Simple kit with lots of gizmos.
Awesome video man. Appreciation to the hard work you put in. Josh is a great dude to be working for too! This is the stuff most people don't think about when they go to see the artist. Thanks for sharing!
THANKS!
Loving this content. Props to Matt for inspiring these videos. Loved how those drums sounded, massive.
I actually find these vids relaxing, you are so neat and tidy 👍🏼
What shoes you got on? They comfy for lots of standing?
Thanks so much! I appreciate it a bunch!
And they are Adidas Yeezy Boost! They're amazing for me!
This was fantastic! I really enjoyed that you had an in ear mix for a few songs. As a fellow drummer- I’d like to hear Tracks cues/click.
APPRICIATE IT! Yes eventually there will be all different mixes included! Monitor mix, cues, maybe even tech talk back mics included! Thanks for watching!
Super cool to see behind the scenes! Are the drums triggered as well?
Thanks for recording this!
You do such a in depth job on the video for setting up and tuning the kit your awsome man he's lucky to have you as his tech!!
THANK YOU! Much appreciated! Hope you stick around!
Excellent, I blinked and the video ended and I got that feeling of wanting more!!! It's great to follow your routine!! Greetings from Brazil!
WE LOVE BRAZIL! THANKS FOR THAT! THERE WILL BE MORE!
Sick video. love catching new insights into the industry. keep killing it 🤙
Thank you! Will keep on!

I was there that weekend for the festival...KB and Josh absolutely KILLED it!!!!!
That night was definitely freakin' windy and relatively cool. I rarely get cold and I remember regreting not bringing a hoody with me.
Yeah the wind next to the shore like that was pretty chilly!
I keep forgetting Josh is playing for KB now. Awesome video!! Looking forward to more!
THANK YOU! There will definitely be more!
Uncut, raw, pov. My favorite.
I've been using a gibralter rack for a long time, saves time and space. Much easier than all those stands. Keep up the good work
pleeeeeaaaaseee moooore!!!!!! awesome job....
More coming! Thank you!
Rock Locks are the greatest! Best lug lock in the market!
I have no idea, who Kane Brown is, but I liked the video.
I miss doing drum tech! Cool video 😎 That’s a big drum case! Biggest one I had was a 3 Tom 2 snare and hardware drum case, 32’ kick drum had its own case. But nothing that big. Wow 😮
Yeah, It's a little much but it's nice on big stages to just have the 1 and not 10 different cases all over.
Great content!! Looking forward to more
THANK YOU! I AM TOO!
Awesome bro!!!
THANK YOU!
Amazing video, thanks for all the insights! I was actually kinda curious about the SPD & trigger setup, any chance we can get Some context or a video about that? Guessing its for gating on the Toms?
Definitely in the works! But yes, triggers for tom gates! Thanks for watching!
CLEAN tones bro. So easy to mix at FOH
THANK YOU.
Awesome video man!
THANK YA!
keep going💥
Awesome those sonor sq1 i want one😂😊
Love the video. Can anyone explain to me the muting of the snare with finger while tuning?
THANKS! But yeah, basically when you're listening for a note, tone, freq etc. any added vibration or buzzing or overtone will effect the true note. So, you're just literally touching the center of the head will kill anything getting in the way of tuning.
Damn. I need a banjo tech pov haha
That Brass HONEST ABE snare though... #droolcity

Sounded great!
yeah so um.. chris turner.... 😬
Are the triggers for the gates?
Yes sir!
I hope this shit blows up for you bro!!
Thanks my man!
Great vid! Quick question why some DW quick release but not all?
THANK YOU! There is actually only 1 that has a quick release and its because one the rods was ran over by a road case and shattered the stem and this was the only wingnut I had spares of for now.
Love this bts stuff! Does anyone know the name of the song that starts 21:20?
I believe that it Kane Brown - Famous Friends
@@blaz3ab that’s the one. cheers!
21:35 I would really appreciate a more in-depth tuning video from you!
Absolutely! There will definitely be a detailed tuning video soon.
The one thing I hate about sweet crashes are that they warp after a while because theyre so damn thin :(
You are so right! Ironically we switched 1 to a paper thin thinking we'd have the same issue and it lasted way longer.
@ im pretty sure the paper thin crash is the same weight range as the sweet crash just with less of a taper towards the edge, but if you overplay any very thin crash it’ll eventually fail on you unfortunately
How come you guys don’t use heavier crashes that project better/last longer considering the music is so heavy? I feel like sometimes when guys use sweet crashes you can barely hear them during a heavy chorus
double bass drum pedal to play country ?
hell right bruther
Is the left crash supposed to be bent up ? Jw lol
lol. Technically no. The paper thin & K sweet crashes are just easily warped. The 3 crashes here have only seen less than a dozen shows but it's about time for a new set soon.
@@blaz3ab I watched later in the video and saw he was working the china over pretty good lol. Seems to be a hard hitting drummer lol. Awesome content
@@philliptrammell6206 The current drummer for Kane was in a metal band for the last 10 years so old habits die hard I suppose lol.
@@heyimapl he definitely has some metal chops and is a hard hitter lol
Boom boom cat
Who the hell Kane brown
You sound like you have a cold or allergies.
Damn you! haha. Terrible allergies lol! The pollen meter was on red today.
This Kane guy doesn't even hang with his band before the show?
