I think you might of seen that Eric already got 75ft with his Typhon off a home made ramp but if you’re all going for same unofficial world record then you all need to use the same size jump too.
Stiffen your shocks to the max , that should get it high 😊
Yeah.... bottoming out as it hits the ramp will take so much momentum out of the truck....
I don't know about to the max but stiffening it a bit would definitely help getting some recoil as it leaves the ramp could help as well and not bottoming out as Jody pointed out I'd try different spring load and see what works best ✌️
I usually use a different method to get high but will try your suggestion.

RC dude 81 has a 75 foot high record I believe with the v4 Typhon and 62 withe the new exb talion. And I believe his ramp may be a little smaller than a skate park Ramp

That would destroy it. It's not designed to be tough it's designed to be fast in a straight line on the ground.

you could try stiffer springs for the highjump so it wont bottom out that easily.
I think the car might carry more momentum into the jump this way.

In rc airplanes we wrap foam around the sensor to take care of some of the differences. It doesn't allow air to just rush in and hit the sensor

Hey love the vids I have a question, what is the best desert Rc I’ve been trying to get in the hobby but I live in a desert and wanted to get an Rc for a desert terrain.
Need some sort of laser measuring system on the ground that scans a line in the air where the cars go over. Tricky but possibly doable. Great video!

Yall got to gather a crowd launching those cars like that. Me and my buddy was at a park jumping 2 kraton 6s's of a rp I brought and we had strangers cheering us on and we probably were only going 20 to 25 foot high.

Kevin I would think the best way to determine the height of a jump is to have a Tower on each side of the jump area with lasers pointing over to the other side and a way to pick up that height of where the vehicle touches the laser at the highest point is how high you jump.
the best way is your going to have to build a board back drop with gauge lines and then place a camera on it so you can film the jumps as they pass the board and then watch the jumps in slo-mo and still frame. think a board like the strength test things at fairs where you hit a spot with a hammer and try to ring a bell with a weight, put a couple of cameras at different heights so you cover the entire board and film each jump

If I could give some advice on how to measure how high your jumping are. Use drones. set at different Heights. You can set altitude on the Drone and set it in Hover mode.

Hey Kevin, just a thought about the Lamborghini. The color gray/silver is great. You should think about getting the exhaust tips in gold to match the gold bull on the badging of the Lambo. Would look epic and tastefully done.
You need to stiffen your suspension up so you dont bottom out on the jump. That should give you a big increase in height and you should get some pop from the rebound. Great video.

I am very curious about the height tests with the different devices & gps's. I would like to buy one but if you determine one is better for height I would like to know. Keep us posted!
Hover drone at 60ft with camera and record how close the cars get to the level of the camera. Not sure how accurate it will be but at least you can see when you are getting close to 60ft.
What ya need is a high speed camera setup instead of circle for 3d effect have a line from the jump on the usual trajectory angle upto 65ft+ maybe?
I’m thinking you need to build a custom vert ramp and blow that record out of the water Kev!
You need to try belted tires on the 1/5 scales, its a game changer. They wont roll over and are very stable at high speeds.

Way back in the rc car action magazine there was a short story of 1/10 buggies jumping from tents, the big ones used at events and circus’
Purhaps a tool like the Nikon Forestry Pro II Laser Range Finder might help with accurate measurment of hight.
Gps uses satellite update and if it's overcast can greatly effect accuracy with signal bounce on clouds
Very important for Mamba Monster X 8s and XLX2 use QS8mm connectors, really for any power hungry set ups use those connectors besides that you should be golden 👍, are you going to review the Talion EXB? What are the future cars?

Hey, Kevin, you should purchase the Kronos XP V2 70 mph because it's fast and about and much like the Traxxas E-Revo so it's not really dirt cheap but it'd be cool if you reviewed it and might even get it myself.

U could get a dji drone or two and hang banner with weights at bottom saying the hights and have another drone two take photo inline with the top hight of the car jump ?
