Backtape recorded on Pro Tools, then dumped to a Revox B77 MkII. Backing sounds used are: Promars (Bassline), Roland TR 808 (drum samples), Simmons SDS 8 (real one, noise) and Korg KR 55 (drum samples), JP8000 (seqs, etc).

I would say this album is quite overrated because songs are very easy and it is the second popular of their albums after violator

Was it called a Promars, that upper keyboard? How does it differ from the similar-looking Jupiter-4?
Promars is a scaled down version. It uses the very same JP4 main board (even labelled this way) with less voice cards. Basically it is a monophonic JP4 with two VCO (plus 2 extra sub oscillator). VCO2 is tied from the 1 (they share the waveform, but 2 can be detuned more than one octave). No arpeggiator neither keyboard assigner.

Hypothetical situation, you get a girlfriend, she's everything you wanted in life that wasn't music, the only problem, she thinks your gear takes up too much space and one day she says 'I heard from one of my girlfriends that you can do synthesizers on a computer with something called a soft synth and she wants you to sell your gear and use soft synths....what do you do.....
