11:20 Actually, "an SSD" isn't wrong at all. Note that this a/an distinction is solely cosmetical. Whether you use an or a depends of the first sound(note sound, not letter) of the following word. That's why for example in English we say a uniform(pronnounced as (yo)uniform), a university. The same applies to SSD. Since it's pronnounced ES-ES-DEE, it starts with vowel sound, thus "theoretcally" requiring an "an".
Although this was made in 2017, the fact that you installed a 2001 operating system on a 2007 laptop gives such a nostalgic feeling. I feel like I’m watching a video made in 2010.
At 11:00 , during English Lessons in the Netherlands we actually learn this. When the word starts with a vowel, or sounds like a vowel, you say 'an' and not 'a'. This is also the other way around. A University, An XOL Letter.
10:03 I totally get this!! I'm the exact same, and for the exact same reason :O It's like the difference between saying "A Light Emitting Diode" and "An LED" Also "An MRI machine, an Xray, an FTP folder" etc. ALSO also, the reverse is true for letters which are vowels, but sound like they start with consonants, like the difference between "an URL" if you pronounce URL to rhyme with curl, and "A Uniform Resource Locator" Anyway, back on topic :P I'm totally LOVING your delivery of these videos, all the different accents and voices, it's amazing :D You got yerself a sub!
I'm pretty sure that 'an SSD' is grammatically correct, the vowel sound in the consonant is what triggers the use of 'an', as in 'an honor,' it doesn't have to be a written vowel.
+Rihn the Miqo makes Windows XP Pro report back that it is Windows XP POSready, which is the XP that runs on eftpos machines, that has updates until 2019
This was the first Druaga1 video I ever watched. At the time I knew nothing about computers, I just clicked on this video because "ooh, MacBook" and I quickly became a huge fan of his videos. Maybe one day, he'll come back and bless us with his SSD shenanigans.
They used to have those laptops at my home school. I went there two times a week lol. It was at an actual school.... Anyyyyywayyyy... I loved those laptops.
Lol, when you cut your finger, it reminded me of when I was taking the cover off of an xbox 360 cd-drive, then I went to push a little metal disk out of the way so I could get the metal disc that holds the game discs in place out, and I pushed too hard and the metal of the cover literally cut halfway through the muscle in my right thumb. Glad I can still move it though, but the funny part is I didn't know I cut myself until I saw the blood XD
+apple tech geek It's called a die, not a diode. All laptop processors have all cores on one die. Only the classic aluminum Mac Pros and PowerMacs had dual CPU options, which require Pro, Enterprise or Ultimate versions if applicable.
apple tech geek I know. It's not sad though. Back then, PowerMacs were much more powerful than any Pentium 4 PC anyway, and OS X was much more advanced and still is to a degree. Certainly not as much of a bugfest as Winblows 10.
With that, Druaga placed the lighter under the spoon, the smell of burning plastic filled the room. He swiftly took the needle to the now molten SSD, and sucked up the entirety of the lord's nectar. At the moment, Druaga injected the SSD juice into his right arm, and at that moment, he felt bliss.
I think the decision between "a" and "an" should depend on the first phoneme of the following utterance, not whether or not the first letter of the word is a vowel.
I love you man! You inspired me to get XP and I'm typing through it now, still love it and I don't care if MS wants me to upgrade to 8 or 10 or whatever, this was my first ever OS, so... Nostalgia VS security, which would you choose?
No, but I have a legit Microsoft Version Called POSReady Embedded 2009. It's the same thing as XP but for business and made WAY later. It also lets you get updates until 2019 as well.

That rubber "ooze" thing came loose in my late 2006 MacBoook while attempting to install an SSD. I ended up taking taking apart the entire bottom part of the laptop trying to replace it. Probably shouldn't have wasted my time. lol.
I grew up using Windows but when I was 12 my school district used iBooks and MacBooks and ever since then I loved mac os X and 9. the user interface on Mac OS X is so elegant.
Nice bit of information xp home Only supports SINGLE SLOT processors meaning it can handle 8 cores and 16 cores xeons /operon processors, However you need the professional version to support 2 physical processors 2x operons for 36 cores etc
It's grammatically incorrect, because the first letter is an consonant, but its so much easier to pronounce an-es-es-dee than ayy-es-es-dee, which also sounds dumber, idk
I have one of those also but its the late 2006 model with the same hardware and the mid-2007 battery what I got with my mac also still works great and I got the original dead battery too
+zach “techy guru” schwanke I have the 2010 white Macbook (the last one they made) and it has El Capitan on it. It works very nicely. This 07 version probably wouldn't do as well however lol.
+deWaardt That's on MAC OS. However, the x1300 is perfectly compatible with Windows 10 thanks to PHDGD's modder drivers. You can get these drivers at IntelliModder32's website

+ben nottelling No it wouldn't. DOS is only targeted for x86 CPU's, so it wouldn't work on things like a calculator because they use different processors like the texas instrument based CPU. The only way people got to run DOS on other devices with a different CPU architecture was through CPU emulation.

"An ssd" is correct, because it starts with a vowel sound, similarly to how university gets "a" in front of it instead of "an" it makes a consonant sound.

Hey, I love your videos, you crack me up. But I noticed on your iMac G5 your only using one slot. You do know thats a dual channel setup right? Not that it makes a huge difference as the FSB is neutered to start with, still that poor Mac can use all the bandwidth it can get. I think it was the 1.6 ghz model Apple cheapened out on and jipped it's low end buyers with only one stick of 256mb of ram in single channel mode of course. Ouch! Anyway, thought I would speak up on that and the G5 is PowerPC, not x86. I used to strip code from universal binaries. You can save a lot of space and add performance, use less memory.... Great video otherwise, you remind me of that guy off the game postal...Thats a compliment.
Hello, I want to know the specifications of this machine: RAM, VIDEO, PROCESSOR I have a 2007 model is the 2.1: (2,5RAM - 64VIDEO - INTEL CORE 2 DUO - CD) This may work on mine??
