What I'm amazed at is how he manages to keep all that loose leaf music on the stand without it falling off when he plays. I can only keep five pages up, and when I play too hard and the piano shakes, one on the edges falls off.

sweatshirt029 Xiao Lu is Chinese. In China, they don't have the "sensitivity of racial differentiation" issue that we have in America... so obviously, there will be cultural differences. Perhaps the cultural perception of the piece is what Xiao Lu was aspiring to, and Kyle played a positive variation of the piece, which he was (edgily) complementing. In China, similarly to Japan, it's not so much that they base judgement on race as we do, but rather, they judge people on being of China vs. being "foreign", or not understanding the culture as they do. It's something to be easily mistaken. If you are so worried about people being cultural different, try conversing with them instead of calling them a moron.

You're not looking at the letters, are you?When playing piano while reading off sheet music for years, you start to KNOW where the notes are. If I said to type "Hello" on your keyboard, you could do it without looking, right? That's the equivalent to me handing Kyle the sheet music to "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" and him playing it without looking. Practice Practice Practice.
