Wait till the next video, the conditions and trail got even better!! It was hard to edit because I just wanted to go back, haha. It's interesting watching his style. He sits right up until he needs to stand. But somehow manages to not get out of control and bucked off the bike. Also he gets in and out of corners very efficiently, so it's hard to keep up.
I think that's the heaviest I've heard you breath on any ride! And that's how I feel trying to keep up with faster riders, two turns and they are gone. Time to ride my own pace and I'll catch up with them eventually.
Hah I was definitely struggling to keep up and catch my breath for the first half of the ride. As the day went on, I spent less energy and got into a better rhythm for sure. Still struggled to keep up with Mike, but I wasn't starving for air like the beginning. I wish I could find a way to calm down more while riding technical terrain. I'd be able to keep from cramping and lower my heart rate by 20bpm 😮💨
You did say in the beginning you haven’t be on the bike for a while. I know when I don’t ride often I lose what I call bike fit and it takes me a couple of ride to get back to the level.
@@mikehouch7841 Man you are totally right! I'm editing the rest of the video now and I don't sound nearly as out of breath. But the cramping hit me hard later in this day, unfortunately. There really is no replacement for on the bike training.
@michaeltharp5072 Hey buddy. This is in an area north west of Prescott. Some of it is private property owned by the guy on the other Beta 300, but there is a good amount of open land to ride on out there.
If you want some amazing single track go to the pnw. Go to nicolai state park in Oregon. I’ve been a few places and this area imo is still the best with muddy trails to packed wet dirt to hill climbs to brush and rocky climbs to cliff sides and bridges and rivers and streams logging roads. It’s just a lot to explore and I’m sure there are many more areas out in the pnw. Like sand lake which isn’t too far. But anything in the pnw.
@@americandirtrider7662 We ride year round so doesn;t matter when. We also ride all over the state and afew others. Do you enjoy more technical riding? Harder single track?
@@reidwest7233 My dad lives in Chino Valley. They ride north of Prescott most of the summer, then drop down to I think Wickenburg (?) in the winter. I'm getting more into single track and technical stuff. I was raised more as a desert rider, so there's been a learning curve for me when it comes to this kind of stuff. I could probably get a couple guys and make a trip out of it later this year if you want to set something up together.

@Youngblood 204 hey man. Yeah this is very close to Paulden. More west and above Williamson Valley. Not really sure what the area would be called. I just follow my buddies, as I'm unfortunately from California.
@@americandirtrider7662 I was also gonna say camp wood, which is in that area as well, fun shit to ride in the area for sure! The bradshaws are my playground 💪🏻🤘🏻
Hahaha! So you've been on the infamous "dogshit" trail? I've only heard the nightmare tales of it, but looking forward to seeing what it's all about. Hopefully it's something we hit in the beginning of the day, and not when I'm all beat up and sore. What's up Steve?! How's everything?
For the most part there is less rainfall in AZ.. You got lucky this ride, no dust.
We definitely got lucky with the weather. But this is pretty North in AZ, so they do get a monsoon season.
Ever hit anything out by kingman/bullhead area?
I haven't! But I'll ask my AZ buddies if they know anything out there. Any recommended areas?
Conditions and trails look amazing! I can't believe how fast Mike is!

Dont move to Arizona! We are full
Haha. With the rate that your state is turning blue, don't worry about me out there.

Great ride. How fun is that!

Awesome ride! There are some similarities compare to western Colorado trails.
I haven't made it out that far with the bike just yet. But I'm definitely interested to check it out. Any area in particular I should research?
