I noodled a 1991 Mob of Roos $1 yesterday in mint condition.
According to the RAM website NO $1 coins were minted in 1991

I should also add that the RAM also considers the listing of the 1992 MoR $1 to be a clerical error. They have simply not ammended their records as they did with the incorrect listing of 1 million of the 2001 MoR $1 being struck. That was corrected very early on in 2002.

Thanks mate! There can always be debate on whether one coin is rarer then the other and where they fit in order of the rarest coins. The 1992 MOR's is still up for debate on whether they made there way into circulation as no one has found one which is why I would of liked to put the 2016 changeover at number 1 but there is always that chance that there is 1992 MORs coins out there. Thanks mate. These kind of videos can be debated but I do think that its about right. The only spot that could change is the number 1 spot as the 2016 changeover could fill that spot as its still debated on whether the 1992 MORs were released into circulation. Anyway no one knows for sure but as its reported that there were 1992 MORs minted, I had to put it as number 1 but I would say that the changeover is top & rare to find now. That is the goal of this channel mate, to help people coming into the hobby. Well its reported that 8k were minted but no one can confirm 100% and whether any made it into circulation. A couple have popped up over the years but you would think if 8k were minted that more would of been found unless someone out there is sitting on them all. It could be that people are starting to wake up to the 2007 $1 MORs as there are a lot of MORs $1 collectors out there. I only own the one set and 2 of the bounding kangaroos PNC's. You're welcome mate.
@Paul Vu They are getting harder to find mate. I only found 5 2016 changeover coins in 2020. At least you got a roll which I think will be a good long term hold.

Have found a 1991 in circulation and plenty of commemorative dollars from sets,never a 1992.Tend to believe they do not exist or are held back by the Mint.Merry Xmas Ozzy.

The 1990 $1 isn't found as much due to only being produced for coin sets.
Yes that is true mate however it is a low mintage $1 MORs coin. Same can be said for the 2007 MORs as its only in mint sets and the bounding kangaroos PNC. Thanks for watching!

Yes there are 2000 mules around as we see someone finding at least 1 each month. I might do a video on rare error and variety coins in the future but for this video, I wanted to concentrate on the low mintage $1 coins. Thanks for watching!

If its in uncirculated condition its worth a little but if its circulated then its only worth $1. Thanks for watching!
The 2012 M.O.R $1 is the rarest actually. They don't come in sales often individually.
Yes you are correct my friend. After making the video I remembered that there was another $1 MORs in a mint set that had low mintage but forgot which one. Actually the 2012 mint set is a very nice set to own as it also has the hyper metallic 50c coin. I really like the mints sets from 2012 - 2014 and they are now very expensive sets to buy.
I didn't know that. I guess the 2007 proof set doesn't have a mor. The 2012 proof set does, and 50000 were made, meaning there are more total mor. I only got one 2012 mint set, I should have got more, they are pricey now

The mob of roos is the kangaroos on the $1 coin. Its the name we can the $1 coin here in Australia.

Yeah, so many people trying to sell these on eBay and they think its rare because of the HH which its not. I just hope people don't fall for this.
The 1992 MoR listing is considered to be a clerical error. Downies claimed they sold one at auction but the buyer never received the coin as it mysteriously went missing. No surprise there... it is Downies. As for the existence of the 1992 MoR $1 coin, thats a no. If anyone does find one, it's going to be a fake and yes, the fakes fo exist. I had one. It wasn't a very good fake either. Close examination showed an altered digit.

That's a common coin as the mintage was high for that year. Its value is only worth $1 unless its uncirculated which could get you a little more. Thank you for taking the time to watch and comment on the video.

Yes it is however there are reports that there is a MOR $1 coin however I've never seen one.
