I was honestly surprised by how good the camel cakes were, I ended up getting a set of mungyo watercolours because they were smaller and more portable (plus I don’t like how camel plasters their branding on the tin lol) but yeah, if you’re not an ‘aesthetics’ freak like me, very good quality paint for sure!
Hi...love your review....I have both camlin and winsor Newton water colors....After purchasing 18 shades , I bought all 48 tubes of camlin artist water colors and all 48 half pans fit in the camlin 18 box...till now I didn't see any difference in the quality of camlin artist tubes and winsor Newton tubes..Winsor Newton gives pigment information and light fastness ratings which are not available for camlin although camlin claims that these paints are light fast and mostly semi - transparent...Since I paint mostly for myself and not for clients or display camlin serves my purpose of painting in my sketch book and travelling with 48 colors..it's like traveling with friends..the tube paints are ₹60 for 20 ml and all 48 colors comes to 3500 indian rupees, which is probably cost of 3 winsor Newton 15 ml tubes. They are more bang for your buck..if you are painting for your self and not taking commissions..I highly recommend them... Thanks for the review..
@@knowledgeclub254 hi, they are available from individual art stores all over India. Htconline ( Chennai); Bhaskar art store ( Bangalore - not online); kdsartstore ( Delhi ); Sitaram stationaries ( Delhi); pbh Kolkata ; stationerie.in ; max adda ( mumbai); artlounge.in ( mumbai); Hope this helps. All these stores are very active online since the beginning of 2020. Some of them do ship internationally.
I used Maries Student grade Water color 5ml tube and Artist grade Poster color 100ml Jar . I am not so happy with watercolor tube but poster color was really excellent. I will try use Camel artist color next time.
I've found camel Great for someone who's beginning their watercolor journey! They are really great amazing for someone who's just learning watercolors. Once I was ready to get a bit serious, i invested in brands like Sennelier, daniel Smith and Mission Gold , and tbh I haven't gone back to Camlin! :)
Too good .. excellent information and presentation. I use Camel artist colors for affordability and many a times wondered whether and what did I miss by using a local brand.
Thank you so much for this review.. This has helped me alot with my selection... I was wondering should I consider buying camel artist cakes or should I invest on something more expensive like Brustro etc but this clarified my confusion a lot.. Since I am a beginner I believe camel would be better choice for me to practice and improve my skills and later transition to more expensive options... Thanks a lot again for the detailed review... 💕💕
Thank you so much for this video. I was really going to invest in a schminke and put in 12000 bucks (Rs) but I guess now I wont. My home made camel colours are just as good. Yes ...in future I will still buy schminke maybe to get an actual experience. But now I'm in no hurry
Your video is just full of the keeth and kins that I really wanted ,on ething to tell that your telling English is just insanee, i want to muster it, do some tutorial, i dono if you have it in your channel ,this is the first time TH-cam recommended your video❤❤ lots of love from kolkata
Enjoyed your video but i feel obligated to point out that it's Winsor Newton, not Winston, like you've spelled it. I thought I should point this out so that your viewers can get the correct spelling. Sometimes wrong spelling messes up our google searches.
Please do a art supplies collection video showing all you brushes and paints, sketchbook.... Bonus video for this week ... We are curious to see your collection
Thank you so much for sharing this video if you don't mind me asking you could you please make a review video on the Itsy bitsy 48 watercolour half pan set would love to see it.
kimaya Chaudhary I have been using the Diana Rowney Sable brushes for almost a decade now. Sable hair brushes are expensive and difficult to find due to a ban on animals hair brushes but are the best brushes for watercolours. The other alternatives are mixed brushes (mix of natural and synthetic) or synthetic brushes that imitate the properties of natural brush. Two rules to buy any WC brush - it should be able to hold a good amount of water and should have the ability to hold a fine point. This May all sound confusing but I am planning a video this month on brushes which I hope will clarify in more details. Happy painting 💕💕
Within the same brand, the pigment quality of both may remain the same. However the choice of tube or cake depends on your requirements . If you are planning on painting outdoors or doing a small painting or sketch, then cakes are fine. Otherwise you can use tubes.
I have opted for the Camlin watercolors and Indian watercolor paper as well. Happy with it.

Am planing to buy one and was debating in buying camel or mungyo which one would you prefer
@@simmi5887 I’d say not much difference in the quality of paint, but packaging and ease of use is better with the mungyo set

i THINK THERE IS DIFFERENCE because of color application. but this Camel Co also come to competition with other Brand , the Co must progress .
thanks for the video. I have a camel artist's watercolour box but recently I was wondering if I should buy a brustro. Your video was very helpful.
I prefer camel artist colors to brustro

Wow……… thankful to you mam for all the guidance🙏🏻
After all skill matters !!! You can do anything if you develop good skill... Brand was never a matter , it's only like a cherry on cake !!!
It’s also the paper that matters
camel colour cakes are available individually i just bought 4 of them
where?
Thanks!! Please recommend basic watercolor brushes for beginners!

kimaya Chaudhary the Brustro brand has some good options that are available on Amazon.
Great video👍.Would you do a brustro vs camel water colour review?
Raghavendera sure. Would definitely do a video comparing the two products soon 👍🏻
Great video , much awaited one 💓
Thanks :)
Thank you very much. :^)
Where are you in India ?
Is marie's student watercolour good for beginners ??
Never heard of it 🤔
Please make watercolor painting tutorials
Your reviews are great. I have a request to compare White Nights and Winsor Newton Cotman tubes. Please. Thanks.
Which paper did we use for a watercolor painting?
Use watercolor papers of 300gsm, cold press. My favorite is Arches
@@theabcworkshop 25% or 100% cotton?

Yes. Thanks Vigil, I realised that I was calling it winston occasionally 😊🤷♀️
