Thanks for the great video, just changed mine in my 2015 .I used the honda motorcycle oil and a KN filter. the filter was on super tight! I had to remove the front chin and right side tupperware to get enough leverage for my filter pliers.
One thing to point out is that we should be using an oil designed for a motorcycle (couldn't make out the label on what you're using and you didn't go into a lot of detail). The bike has a "wet clutch", which means it uses the engine oil in its functionality. So, the oil needs to serve the engine as well as the demands from the clutch. There are special ingredients that are added or not added for use with a wet clutch. On some motorcycles, there are multiple oil systems for various components that all require their own oil, filter, and change interval. Look for an oil rated JASO MA (that's straight outta the CTX700 manual, which I'm sure you read since you know it's 3.6qts [there are actually multiple volumes listed depending on model and conditions]). Thanks for the video!
Hello...I take it to my local auto parts store (autozone or advanced auto)....they have oil containers in the store where you can take used oil at no charge.
hello! I am from Honduras Central America ... how has the castrol 10w40 oil worked for you? I want to use that oil in my CTX, do you recommend it? did you use full syntetic?
Hola amigo , soy cubano vivo en.brasil, recién compre una ctx 700n . Cuál aceite usas para tu moto. Aqui los mecánicos no tienen experiencia con esa moto

Before the bike is hot or started. if you very slightly loosen the oil filter and drain plug. It won't leak. It'll probably be easier to do the job.
Thank you for video
Was this the standard CTX or DCT is there a difference?
Where do you dump the old oil? Always an issue and like to hear what you do with yours.

Good video, but be careful running your bike in a closed garage, folks!
Good point, we had the bike on a stand with tire grips so just in case-
