How did they put a window crank from a 1972 Ford Torino in a “1961” Comanche? Goes to show, it really was ahead of its time.

This is the most accurate ad ever, as a new '61 Comanche 250 owner & I can confirm everything here is 110% true
Looks more roomy than a Mooney, why haven't I ever heard of this plane?? I'm hoping they're still building them, with modern avionics to boot!

@@MidnightMechanic Unlike the Mooneys, the Comanche airframe was completely zinc chromated at the factory.

@@mdickinson pretty much that's the only way to buy a plane these days, unless you pre-order a prototype! The old reliable airframes aren't in production anymore!

Correction: the Comanche trim handle was used as a window crank in the Torino.

Wow! I gotta hand to you. You did it again. Your aircraft advertisements have all been great, but I haven't laughed this hard since the MOONEY episode. I had to watch both twice again just to make sure, but I'm still gonna give my number 1 to the Mooney Ad. The Comanche ad comes in at a VERY close second for me.... Oh shit, this was funny. Gotta love the indiosycricies in all these old airplanes we know and love. Keep up the great work!! It's Comanche time, BABY!

Glad to see this is the stick-shift version...the "Gear Up" light serves as your upshift indicator, for better fuel economy...but no clutch pedal? Maybe it's like the old Volkswagen "Automatic StickShift"!
As the proud owner of a Comanche 250 (by A2A Simulations) I laughed. It's an awesome plane in MSFS, and even more awesome in this hilarious video.
I spat my breakfast all over the place when I seen Trevor! These are great keep em coming. I look forward to the many options of the Comanche. Onboard coffee maker, microwave, toilet and maybe full skydiving harnesses for all your passengers because nobody should fly without it. You just never know when you might lose those 250 horses😆

Very clever. Funny and spot on! Still think the PA24 series is the best looking plane ever made - even to this day - gorgeous lines. A new paint job and they'd all look like brand new off the line aircraft. Make sure to join the Commanche forums and/or ICS. A good comanche A&P is vital.

Must say adding the extra windows made a great improvement to its looks. That was incorrect, ADs are normally issued to solve problems.

I hear you. I am putting together a list in Excel right now of Big things, small things, things I can do myself, and I am going to start saving for the big things. I ma currently repairing some tears in the vinyl on the front seats. It is solid and airworthy, just has a lot of cosmetic things that I need to address over time. I have been slowly polishing the paint and it is coming back to life. I have a local guy on the field that is going to help me touch up some spots where it is chipped.

It's just a ploy for his flip-it series he is working on behind the scenes. Buy a plane, hype it up, sell for a hefty markup and on to the next one. I think he is taking skydiving instructions in case he can't flip it for a profit - then he can just take it up for an unexpected engine failure and bail out. He recently flipped the grumman he did an ad spot on. Took time to move it, though, so I thought it might wind up as a cornfield crater in the Texas cotton belt.
@@MichaelOnines Funny you mention that... I heard the Discovery Channel is reviving their "Dangerous Flights" series and instead of it being about C.B Aviation and it's ferry pilots it's just going to be Bryan (with a Y) flying his Comanche.....

A plane so good you want to attach a bunch of cameras to it, fly it over some hills, and jump out of it for no good reason!
But can you remove your vertical stabilizer, and bend your horizontal stabilizers into a V on your 250? NO, no you can't. That makes the Banana the safest plane ever! Well unless your a Doctor. Nice video Bryan with a Y. I enjoyed.

So you got the plane home, congratulations. Now you can expect to hear from everyone telling you you HAVE to have a fully enclosed hangar (mostly from people whose wives won't let them buy ANY airplane).
I have learned in aviation, if you say anything about any plane and People will start telling what you need to do or why the airplane you are interested in is a bad choice. pilots are weird like that. I have been in an open T hanger for ~9 years. No issues other than having to clean the dust off more frequently.
@@JustPlaneSilly I'd kill for any type of covered tiedown. Here it costs $375 per month, and forget about covered hangars. At RHV they are actively trying to shut down the airport, and are doing it by figuring out new ways to bother the pilots here, since the FAA won't let them shut the airport by normal means.

Wind Deflector 2000 Extreme is the best 38 bucks I have spent in aviation!
With all those AD's , It's like "ok our plane idea wasn't great, we didn't spare all expenses you got us there" but man she is fast and more affordable than Bonanza's! AD could stand for: American Dinero , Airworthiness Disturbing? That is a lot of AD's!!!
The plentiful vents are obviously necessary to clear the cabin of all that cigarette smoke.
You forgot to mention that the Bonanza has fewer pieces on the tail and that they had a tendency to not stick around.
Nice ad, but it seems a bit too positive for a one door plane. I'm surprised it (still) has air in the tires, as that place looks familiar. I liked the leg room. How many adult octopuses will fit on the back seat? Those guys have some legs! Not sure if they have tows, but imho octopuses should never ride along in the front seat.
But is the backseat big enough for a family of four?

Bryan, off-topic but do you own a Cirrus as well? Or you owned one in the past? Trying to connect the Cirrus references in your past videos with you plane ownership. Also, your reply to the comments re: your Jacob video on AvWeb was pure gold!
I believe the cirrus is his father's, but he does have access to fly it and does so on the channel on a fairly frequent basis.
Smoking! My Cirrus POH says no smoking allowed in the aircraft, whole my old Cessna Cardinal operating handbook bragged on the convenient electric cigar lighter.
