HOW TO Highlight Hair AT HOME!!!! DYI Tutorial Video

  • I am a working Mom / Nurse(R.N.) who knows how to do her own hair.... so why spend a ton on getting it done. Yes, I wish I could afford to go to the salon every month but that's just not something I choose to do. I actually feel like I can't let myself.... knowing that I know how to do it myself.
You asked and I delivered... after sharing on my Instagram story that I highlighted my own hair, TONS of messages came pouring in asking "How How How" ..... so this is my at home hair highlighting technique...

That looks GREAT! Your technique is really good, love starting from the back. Your highlights definitely looks better than my last highlight that was $177 without tip. THAT is why I'm here, I'm not going to pay to have my hair burned.

Better than the so called stylists I’ve been to who repeatedly apply bleach to the end of the strand and charge for damaged hair. Great technique!

I love how simple the process is in your vid, no roots color and toners and... Just the highlights! Seams now days hairstylist over process the hair when it's not needed. Sometimes it is but like with your hair you don't need anything else just perfect as is! Thanks for sharing :)

Followed this today to update my highlights (cause COVID19) with 20V + Redken lightener, and then Wella T11 toner after . Bless you for this tutorial, the sectioning worked perfect, and it turned out really well! Took me about 3 hours though, given this was my first time ever trying this at home!

Awe don’t be afraid. We found out at 32 weeks it was 90% possibility and stayed optimistic... it did work in our favor, buttttt were ok with by educating ourselves, reaching out to other moms, and letting it all take its course. We had a beautiful birth, and we wouldn’t change a thing. So special and intimate in its own way.

Ohhhh!! 😌😌 This was so fun and refreshing to watch!! & I'm not even all the way through yet! I loved it! 😊 Thank you for showing us, hopefully it'll help me when I go to do my own! I'm used to just doing chunkier on the top only, I'm scared to do all over, and the weave technique! But, I have to, I'm tired of looking like a landing strip when all of my hair is up! 😂😂 Thank you for this video! Definitely will be watching and looking for your other videos!

I do have a question. If you did your highlights and you think you could add more, how long do you wait before you process again? Side note: I did a root tap which I probably didn't quite need but it helped with a couple bleed spots, and I did a t10 toner. Just didn't get as light as I'd like...
