Fun fact, you can actually only pay for the 1st month of service and the phone will still unlock after 60 days, you just have to leave the SIM card inserted and keep the phone on so that it communicates with the Verizon towers. The reason Verizon does this is because they signed an agreement with the FCC to unlock phones after this period. So while you won't be able to use the internet or make phone calls in the second month, you can use a cheaper carrier after the 60 days. AT&T and T-Mobile haven't agreed to this FCC rule so they're still fighting it in court, that's why it only works on Verizon.
It actually unlocks via "internet" which can be any internet. It can unlock on McDonalds wifi. You do not need to have the sim inserted and it does not need to communicate with any 'towers'.
Thanks for explaining the "after 2 months of service, the phone becomes unlocked". On Black Friday last year, I purchased a new Samsung phone direct from Tracfone (whom Verizon now owns, as well as the brands shown in this video). It was locked to Tracfone, but in February I got an "update" that unlocked the phone. Now I know why.
I love these iPhone Walmart videos! Its interesting how affordable some are now for people on a budget considering how expensive they were sold for a few years ago ❤
even crazier that models 15 and up are e-sim only in the US and don’t have a sim tray, so it’s useless if you travel or move overseas and there are no e-sim providers….
A year ago, I sold a brand new locked iPhone to someone up in Canada. I made it clear in multiple places that it was locked to the carrier. And someone in Canada bought it, so I shipped it. Then I get notification that the buyer wanted to return it because it was a "locked" phone and that the carrier up in Canada wouldn't unlock it with him claiming I was breaking the law or whatever. He left me negative feedback, but I got eBay to remove it as he accused me of committing a crime because his "carrier" in Canada wouldn't unlock it. Though since it was international, he returned it to eBay and it was technically their problem so I didn't lose any money. But it sure would have been bad if the buyer was in the States and he returned an opened used iphone that I had sold as new as I'd have lost money.
If carriers can't "lock" phones, then how would they do all of those deals and giveaways? My phone carrier, for example, sells those iPhone SE phones for like $150, but it's carrier locked. I doubt they'd sell them that cheap without a carrier lock. though the lock is only for two months.
As someone who has my ranked on pro 3 i think on cod mobile doesn't matter if your a high ranked player almost every player is completely braindead i easily go upwards of 30 kills to no deaths on tdm with that game

The cheapest price I got a new iPhone 12 128 GB at was $437. Even in my dreams, I wouldn’t find a lower price than this, neither on websites nor in markets. A user offered me $280 originally and I didn't sell it for at least $295 or so and there's no need to take losses and keep it
12 and 13 do not have a big difference of only 10 percent, but I advise avoiding the 64 GB versions of 11 and 12, although there are currently strong offers on the 11 64 GB, as for the 128, there are no strong offers, close to the 12, but if you store photos or videos, do not think about them at all. The 128 is considered average, and it is good that they got rid of 64 GB with the latest versions.
So you got it for $199..... A bad deal because it's based on the Iphone 13 chip so it should only be half of the price of what it was when it was new.....
The way to figure out if it is a value is to take the price of a new iphone (16) and then deduct 1/6th the value for each year passes... So the Iphone 15 should be 5/6 the value, a 14 4/6 of the value, and 11 would be 1/6th of the value...
These phones do actually continue to get manufactured, just to be sold to these prepaid carriers. If you check the manufacturing dates you can definitely see how they are made fairly recently
These phones don’t automatically unlock in another country for anyone who is interested. I set the phone up in the US and then came home to UK and it wont work with my UK network for another 30 days. If it even unlocks itself at all because i’ve lost connection to Verizon cell towers.
That happened to Target, too, since they no longer offer Samsung besides the adapters and the Galaxy Tab A9s. 90% of the accessories for phones and tablets, there are mainly for iPhone and iPad.
I think many mobile games don't allow multi sign-ins at the same time on multiple devices. (Due to people who abuse being allowed to use this login method [gold and account selling bots])
for those who dont wanna wait the 10 minutes i worked at Walmart, specifically electronics yes the phones are real Walmart wouldn't sell fake items the cheaper ones are just prepaid they're cheaper because they are locked to a carrier but if you want a newer iphone for more expensive thats when you speak to representatives that work for a different company inside of Walmart, those require contracts and other things that get u on a plan instead of a pre paid plan
When they unlock the phone they just send a message saying your device has been unlocked and in settings it will say no sim restrictions. Never had to call them just on one day I was able to use any carrier. That was abt 2 or 3 years ago and I’ve had an iPhone 11 for about a year and it hasn’t been unlocked yet. Im sure if I called them they likely would unlock it but customer support can take hours before you get anywhere and I have no reason to unlock it rn. Straight talks is not bad as long as you don’t have to mess with customer service. I’ve been using it for years with no major issues.
@@unknownguy7462 I mean in my opinion they aren’t that expensive as there’s no contracts and if you have the $45 plan you get 10gb of hotspot and unlimited 4g/5g speed data + talk and text. That’s still an awesome deal even if they’re stuck with Total Wireless, I pay $30 a month for my Total Wireless 5G+ Unlimited service and it’s great on my 14 Pro Max. If I had to purchase a quick iPhone I’d definitely get that 13.
So If I want to use this phone outside of the US, all I have to do is just pay for the 60 days with the sim and wait for the 60 days to pass and it should be magically unlocked afterwards?
Straight talk was appealing to me when contracts in the early 2010s were like $95 for one person and you’d get 5gb of data lol for your htc evo that still cost me $300 at sign up to get and the contract Locked me in for two years. Once that was over I got a galaxy s5 for $200 and and a plan for $45 and fell in love.
How old of a model iPhone can you still buy Applecare+ for? i.e., if say you bought a sealed 13, could you still buy Applecare+? I know one time I bought a new iPhone that was several years old, but I couldn't buy Applecare+ on it as I guess the phone model was too old.
Do u have to activate the phone with service at all to use the phone? Like if I got the phone without a service card can I just use it with internet connection?
There’s no total wireless or Verizon where I live on the other side of the world. So I don’t know if this would work. I would have to pay for 2 months of service that I couldn’t use.
What did you "learn" your lesson about? What happened about the IMEI numbers? I know some people on eBay selling a phone won't give it out. Which makes it hard to buy it if you can't at least check some stuff out on it.
Because scammer can use that IMEI to sell fake phone or use it for stuff that I am not going to mention. If you know you know. But thats why most people wont give out imei unless after getting paid.
I wonder if walmart is going to have bigger sale for SE 3 when it is closer to black friday sale as people saying there was bigger saving like 50$ only in previous video
they are my moms iphone se 2 was from walmart next year depending on what sizes walmart has i might try to get one of those iphones but i would not be using their service like my iphone 11 is showing its age like i had the battery changed right before they jacked up the pricing but according to the software the battery life left is 86 percent
Ah, you're just like me, I like old cell phones, but the difference is that you have money lol. I would just buy the iPhone 3, which has been my dream for 6 years and I still haven't achieved it.
Wrong. For total wireless you only need ONE month of service to unlock the phone. The requirements are: That you activate. And then 60 days after activation, it will unlock. No one said you have to have service during the 60 days. Activating a phone is not the same thing as having service for 60 days. You only need 1 month of service on Total.
Already been commented so I’m aware. To the average Joe reading the policy it’s hard to define: “For all cellphones Activated with TracFone service on the Verizon network on or after November 23, 2021, the cellphone will be remotely unlocked automatically, sixty (60) days after Activation.”
@johnzoid74 Activation is an event. 60 days after activation is an event. There is no duration. And this has been discussed and tested by over 1,200 people on Slickdeals, unless you know something they don't.
It will be unlock after 60 days you just pay one time that’s true I had a phone and only paid for one month I brought it and it was unlocked in 60 days
I’m just looking for a secondary phone to connect my my current contract iPhone but looking to use the second by my unlimited hotspot I have a bad android one that can’t run well so was debating on getting one of these iPhones, and just straight up using it through WiFi connected to my phone
I mean a lot of these aren't even sold by Apple at all anymore so I'm not surprised it's cheaper at Walmart. Yes the iPhone SE3 through straight talk sometimes that's $75 a refurbished
Almost all iPhones from Walmart were/are TFW ( Trac Fone Wireless), now all owned by Verizon. It’s a bargain because, they were all sold in bulk, plus they are outdated models. Been playing this since 2013. Actually pay with tax $33.00 month talk, text, 10gb data, prepaid every 3 months.
My question is, i live in canada, if i buy one of these from a walmart in USA and pay for a month's service, will it unlock after 60 days? Given that i will be in canada and it won't connect to Verizon's network(straight talk)
A couple years ago I bought an iPhone 8 Plus from Walmart and it was unlocked like I just bought the phone itself and then I connected it to a service and it worked perfectly. I’m confused????

That’s still an awesome deal even if they’re stuck with Total Wireless, I pay $30 a month for my Total Wireless 5G+ Unlimited service and it’s great on my 14 Pro Max. If I had to purchase a quick iPhone I’d definitely get that 13.
Thanks for the comparison and details! QUESTION.... Do you keep all the phones you buy or do you sometimes sell?
So If I want to use this phone outside of the US, all I have to do is just pay for the 60 days with the sim and wait for the 60 days to pass and it should be magically unlocked afterwards?
Straight talk was appealing to me when contracts in the early 2010s were like $95 for one person and you’d get 5gb of data lol for your htc evo that still cost me $300 at sign up to get and the contract Locked me in for two years. Once that was over I got a galaxy s5 for $200 and and a plan for $45 and fell in love.
What about if i shipped one outside the US, will it be unlocked on normal wifi
The iPhone 14 has AppleCare+ on it, that may increase the price when reselling
You should've asked for the 13 mini!
What do you do with these phones after a video?
He's saving them up to do a new Walmart sell phone machine again
Can you tell me the name of the music you used in the background?
That nokia is awesome I miss phones like that
iPhone SE 3 still sell at Apple Store
Greetings John, can i use prepaid iphones in another country without activation, only on wifi?
How old of a model iPhone can you still buy Applecare+ for? i.e., if say you bought a sealed 13, could you still buy Applecare+? I know one time I bought a new iPhone that was several years old, but I couldn't buy Applecare+ on it as I guess the phone model was too old.
Do u have to activate the phone with service at all to use the phone? Like if I got the phone without a service card can I just use it with internet connection?
Just make sure you are not buying from a 3rd party seller
There’s no total wireless or Verizon where I live on the other side of the world. So I don’t know if this would work. I would have to pay for 2 months of service that I couldn’t use.
What did you "learn" your lesson about? What happened about the IMEI numbers? I know some people on eBay selling a phone won't give it out. Which makes it hard to buy it if you can't at least check some stuff out on it.
Because scammer can use that IMEI to sell fake phone or use it for stuff that I am not going to mention. If you know you know. But thats why most people wont give out imei unless after getting paid.
Do you have to wait 60 days of service to unlock it, or can you pay for an unlock service via imei and unlock it before the 60 days?
I am in India.
How many stolen gift cards to buy these?
What do you do with all the phones after your done with the video do you just sell them?
I wonder if walmart is going to have bigger sale for SE 3 when it is closer to black friday sale as people saying there was bigger saving like 50$ only in previous video
i have a google pixel 6a from Walmart through straight talk and it's pretty good honestly
they are my moms iphone se 2 was from walmart next year depending on what sizes walmart has i might try to get one of those iphones but i would not be using their service like my iphone 11 is showing its age like i had the battery changed right before they jacked up the pricing but according to the software the battery life left is 86 percent
Question what phones do you have most of and how much do you have of them
I’m on iPhone 12 from Walmart with straight talk rn
Ah, you're just like me, I like old cell phones, but the difference is that you have money lol.
I would just buy the iPhone 3, which has been my dream for 6 years and I still haven't achieved it.
Wrong. For total wireless you only need ONE month of service to unlock the phone. The requirements are: That you activate. And then 60 days after activation, it will unlock. No one said you have to have service during the 60 days. Activating a phone is not the same thing as having service for 60 days. You only need 1 month of service on Total.
Already been commented so I’m aware. To the average Joe reading the policy it’s hard to define:
“For all cellphones Activated with TracFone service on the Verizon network on or after November 23, 2021, the cellphone will be remotely unlocked automatically, sixty (60) days after Activation.”
After the month is up, can I still use the iphone on wifi until it's unlocked?
I got an iPad from Walmart,it’s the only one I’ve had screen burn in on it,was the iPad Air though
I’m just looking for a secondary phone to connect my my current contract iPhone but looking to use the second by my unlimited hotspot
I have a bad android one that can’t run well so was debating on getting one of these iPhones, and just straight up using it through WiFi connected to my phone
7:30 ignore that that's just bots trying to invite you to ranked games
Sell fake iPhone to eco atm
as of now, the cheapest supported iphone is, the xs and se (2020)
A couple years ago I bought an iPhone 8 Plus from Walmart and it was unlocked like I just bought the phone itself and then I connected it to a service and it worked perfectly. I’m confused????
I want to be in a vid so badddd! I love this channel!! hope you see this!!
Nah bro I bought mine a week ago and they said it’s locked for 12 months we bought it from straight talk but they making us pay for 12 months
i have a walmart 6s, the damn thing is on a tfw carrier lock that wont unlock until the plan's been used for 12 months, but at this point i dont even bother doing much with it since it cant update further
do you need to be on a service for 60 days or can you keep it and it will unlock after 60 days?
Good question.
If it says unlocked, does that mean that it is unlocked from total wireless?
And all stores in Romania still sell the 13 for 519$ and that's with a black friday price, but yea phones are new
Do the iPhones get open and iOS updated? Because that phone came out a while ago and it’s on iOS 17 how?
Those phone are recondition /refurbished
Just out of curiosity, what do can people do to you if they get your imei number?
Is this deal still active does anyone know ?? Or did the prices go back up?
Will those work if a traveler got them from USA and then get back to their home country in just 2-3 days? (Sorry for bad english)
Yes
I want the se but I'm not in America
