  • ⚠️Content Warning for those of you who are squeamish, sensitive &/or triggered. I did my best to edit out all visual and auditory vomiting scenes but because of the nature of this video, not everything could be taken out. ⚠️
On Friday of May 22, 2020 I went in to get a simple GJ feeding tube placement due to ongoing chronic illness. The procedure did NOT go as planned and there were many complications. The largest being that there is an incidental puncture wound/ hole at the bottom of my stomach, starting in my small intestines. Thus far I am left unable to eat and have my stomach continually drained each day. At this point in time I am not receiving any kind of nutrition or supplemental nutrition. The staff assisting in my plan of care is currently unsure of when or how I will be able to next receive any sort of nutrition or supplemental nutrition.
    Hi, my name is Olivia!
I was born with a rare genetic condition known as Ehlers Danlos Syndrome (EDS for short). Living a normal life with this condition while receiving proper treatment and support is just about as rare as the condition. EDS causes a multitude of secondary conditions and with each secondary condition comes complications. In return this causes many medical professionals to reject patients that live with EDS out of fear from the unknown. This causes strain on ones mental health.
My goal in life is to help those that struggle with mental health by becoming a motivational speaker as well as raise awareness for EDS. I came to know of my life purpose through a miraculous experience that brought me faith. The struggles of this world are big and try to tear me down but my God is much greater and beyond the dirt of any planet.

I know this video was four years ago, but I pray that you are well and that EDS is not hurting and causing you too much pain and suffering, I know hospital really sucks! . I myself have the same condition and I thank God for every day, and I thank God for you. I pray that you are doing well 🦓. Sorry to be to religious but I wanted to say this to you as it brings me comfort. May God Bless you and keep you, May the Lord make his face shine upon you, May the Lord be gracious towards you, And the Lord turn his face towards you and give you peace and love❤

Don’t be sorry at all! This is beautiful. You aren’t being religious. You are sharing the love of Jesus and don’t ever forget Matthew 5:14-16. Thank you for the blessings. Numbers 6:24-26 is one of my favorite blessings and one that my pastor used to bless us (the congregation) often before we leave the sanctuary on Sundays. I truly appreciate your kind and thoughtful words. Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy Matthew 5:7

I am so sorry. I don’t like when doctors are careless in their procedures and it harms the patient. I have had a similar situation happen when the doctor was doing a open laparotomy surgery on my stomach back about three or so years ago. He lacerated my liver accidentally and closed me up without seeing it . I spiked a fever that night and my heart rate and pain level went way up. They discovered through doing blood work that my hemoglobin had dropped in half, I think around 6.5 from 12. something and I was starting to become more unresponsive and confused by the morning when they started to ask me questions. They did an abdominal CT scan, which showed that my liver was full of blood. I was given three pints of blood to replace the blood that was lost and my liver healed on its own, but I nearly died. I have also had to have several stomach surgeries and a few of them I have had to have the NG suction tube running continuously. It is a miserable experience. I am so sorry that you had to endure this 🙏❤️

I’m so sorry that happened to you. That must have been a scary experience. It’s much more frightening when the doctor is the one that caused the harm. I hope you are fully healed from that now and I hope the doctor learned from his mistake and hasn’t made anymore like that.
