I Went on The Perfect First Date| Florida Vacation Last Day
Hi, my name is Olivia!
I was born with a rare genetic condition known as Ehlers Danlos Syndrome (EDS for short). Living a normal life with this condition while receiving proper treatment and support is just about as rare as the condition. EDS causes a multitude of secondary conditions and with each secondary condition comes complications. In return this causes many medical professionals to reject patients that live with EDS out of fear from the unknown. This causes strain on ones mental health.
My goal in life is to help those that struggle with mental health by becoming a motivational speaker as well as raise awareness for EDS. I came to know of my life purpose through a miraculous experience that brought me faith. The struggles of this world are big and try to tear me down but my God is much greater and beyond the dirt of any planet.

    It sounds to me like these doctors don't know what they are doing and when it comes to that, THEY are supposed to call these specialists to get you the proper medical attention that you need. With their (doctors) communications alone can get you into those specialists offices. You can also contact your insurance company youself and inform them of what's going on with your condition and they as well can give you a list of specialists that will accept your insurance for your kind of health issues. I know this was 2 yes ago and it just popped up on my feed and with that being said, I truly hope you are doing much better health wise as well as emotionally! I will also subscribe to your channel so that I can show support to you. You seem like a very sweet person and my prayers go out to you!! 🙏🏽❤️

      Philippians 3:9 says “… For Gods ways of making us right with himself depends on faith” and James 1:2-4 & 13 says “When troubles of any kind come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy. For you know that when your faith is being tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. So let it grow for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing.” & “And remember when you are being tempted, do not say ‘God is tempting me’. God is never tempted to do wrong and he never tempts anyone else.”. It will go away with faith and it will make us better/ stronger. We can use it as a gift to help others through it too! ❤️ I understand you’ve suffered through it for many years and I will be praying for you. God makes great warriors out of people like you and recovery stories like yours bring him great glory! ❤️

    Hi, both my son and I have EDS. I am looking at a lightweight, ridgid wheelchair too. Have you considered looking at the Smoov power assist device? It might be a better option for you because it saves your hands when stopping. A dial to control the Smoov is mounted on the frame of your wheelchair usually in front of your brake on one side of your chair. You use this to turn on the device and adjust the speed as well as to shut off the Smoov. You don't have to use your hands to slow down your chair when you need to stop. The dial cuts the power to the Smoov. The Smoov is supposed to have a much longer lasting battery life. Therefore, it requires less down time for charging, which also means it will go a longer distance on a single charge. There is also an app connection. One thing I did remember is the app gives you a visual of the battery life on the device but my brain fog has hit hard and I can't remember the rest of the info for the app and I can't find the info that I saved. I know with the smart drive that there are issues behind the wearable tap devices breaking down and needs charging every day. The battery life for the smart drive on a single charge is significantly less too, whereas one guy said he got 3 days worth of sightseeing on a single charge with his Smoov and he said compared to his smart drive he found it was better on grass and dirt pathways and cobblestones.

      Hello, welcome! I was just in Melbourne, Florida. I have the Tilite Aero Z with a titanium footrest. It was measured, made and delivered by Numotion. My insurance purchased it. I think the total weight is 18lbs but would probably be significantly less with different castor wheels. I have the smoov power assist but rarely ever use it but when it’s needed, I do enjoy it. I love my wheelchair but there are several things I would have changed about it, knowing what I do now.

      Aww thank you so much! Unfortunately; I do not have a link for where I got it because I did not order myself. It was put through my doctor and insurance. My doctor just went through the company that my insurance was likely to cover (Numotion). My wheelchair was fully covered by insurance but my power assist was not. I would definitely talk to your doctor about it. They might know who your insurance covers. Good luck! 💙

    The standard NDE experience is one of the Supernatural, this has no Supernatural elements.

    • @OliKeepingTheFaith
      @OliKeepingTheFaith 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hmmm (gentle sarcasm) I didn’t realize that there was a standard… tell me, how do we all die? What’s the standard manner in which we all leave the earth? What’s the standard amount of angels or demons that should be there? Here, my sarcasm serves a purpose to reveal a flaw in this type of reasoning. There is not a “standard” for a near death experience. To break it down… I was NEARLY about to DIE and it was something I EXPERIENCED. I had a Near Death Experience. I gathered just enough details that I thought might’ve been important from an 11 day hospital admission and fit it into a 30 minute video to share with viewers. Perhaps I didn’t share what you think of when you hear NDE but that doesn’t mean I didn’t have an NDE or even that there wasn’t more (a supernatural side) to the story. If you’re interested in hearing more (or another side) of the story keep an eye out for a new video of mine and the channel “Tales of Resilience”. We’re doing a collaboration in a couple weeks.

    • @OliKeepingTheFaith
      @OliKeepingTheFaith 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Getting a diagnosis won’t change your flying experience. You might be able to sit in first class without an additional charge, depending on the airline and your needs!

    • @jwilleseries7764
      @jwilleseries7764 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@OliKeepingTheFaith That is actually really nice to hear because I would really need that :) The annoying part is because the medical system is taking forever so I have not been able to Get an official diagnosis yet and likely won't get it before I will have to fly again but it is nice to see that it might be better eventually because I love to travel

    • @OliKeepingTheFaith
      @OliKeepingTheFaith 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Getting a diagnosis might give you some relief from closure and you might even feel like you’re better respected by the healthcare system but it eventually taught me that I was better off without it. That should actually be a whole video I talk on because so much has changed since I’ve started my channel and spoke on my diagnosis. Anyways, it’s important that you reach out to the airline ahead of time (like ASAP) and inform them of the accommodations you’ll need to meet your needs, otherwise first class will be sold to people who payed extra and they will not accommodate you. You should also ask your doctor for a note just in case the airline asks for one because many places are getting much better about only accommodating those that truly need it. Once the airline approves your accommodations, keep the evidence! If it was by phone, request an email stating your approved accommodations and new seat number on your ticket. Don’t hang up until you confirmed that they sent it and changed your tickets. I hope this helps and good luck!
