Thank you for posting such great recipes! I love this one. I make enough for our evening dinner and also for lunch the next day. I do not care for leftovers but this really makes good leftover meal. Thank you again!
Dot, I use non-stick aluminum foil in my pan which helps with the sticking issue. These are very good and my hubby loved them. Made for our 6th anniversary and he was one happy man!
This was great and you was very thorough in a single father barely learning how to cook and thanks to u my daughter and a few of my friends say I make great wings but I give u the credit
Dot, thank you, thank you, thank you for being one of the few that do LCHF, Keto cooking videos. I wish more did actual cooking videos like you do. I just subscribed the other day. I plan on watching all your videos. Thanks again!
Original Buffalo wings were deep fried of course...baking doesn't get the same texture but it's a heck of a lot easier and less smelly in the kitchen for people. Can't beat deep fried wings though :-) I put the wings from the fridge onto a dedicated-for-wings bath towel and fold them up and let them come to room temp for 30 mins...that way they're dry and will cook and crisp-up faster. Oil should be 360-370. You have to take into account the temp will drop when you add the wings. When you start to see brown spots on the skin they're done...probably around 12-13 mins. A good hot sauce should really only have a few ingredients...cayenne pepper/vinegar/salt/water and maybe xanthan gum for thickening...that's it. Anything else will add carbs. I'm enjoying your channel Dot..well done.
Baking powder allows you to obtain a super crispy texture while baking. I mix about 1tbsp baking powder to 2tbsp flour. Its light enough of a dusting for the wings to create a nice crisp with out the overly breaded texture
Funny, Dot, as I turn this video on I was eating pork rinds with Franks Red Hot and a dab of cream cheese. It really is the best hot sauce. I will definitely be making this recipe.
Thank you, however no mention of the oven temperature. I am making wings right now. I will start the oven at 400 for 20 minutes. I will keep an eye. Please confirm on the temp. Broil for 7, that is self explanatory..
Hi Dot, glad I found your videos, I would drain the oil from the baking tray and pour Franks on to the tray and scrape the fond into the sauce then over the wings. Love your smile and no gimmicks presentation. Thanks.
If you want to add some extra crisp to the chicken wings, once they are dry before putting them in the oven, sprinkle a little baking powder on them. It will make a chemical reaction with the skin once cooking and you will have a nice suprise 😊
Looks delicious! What is the keto dressing you used with the wings? Also, you had a recipe that used Marscapone, I finally found it but now I cant remember which recipe it was. Which video was it? Thank you.
I make a keto ranch dressing and I'll have a video of that on Friday. As for the recipe with mascarpone it is a 3 cheese broccoli au gratin casserole. Link is here: th-cam.com/video/zITnflteEc0/w-d-xo.html
Thank you. I made the broccoli cheese casserole on T-giving & Christmas but used cream cheese since I didnt have the Marscapone. I was thinking nking it was for a recipe I hadn't made yet. I'm ready for the next time I make it, lol.
I love wings. I didn't add salt to the wings but tasted salty, I don't now if it's because of the Frank sauce or is there a different spicy sauce I can use less salty?
Franks by itself is already salty and if you add salted butter to it, it will make it even worse. Dont season wings with salt, just pepper and use unsalted butter. Try 1 part franks and 1 part butter to even futher cut the saltiness.
Oh, there are lots of ways to enjoy wings! I'm working on a green marinade sauce for grilled wings right now. But you can try mixing grated parmesan cheese (1/2 Cup) with some dried oregano (1/2 tbsp) parsley (1 tbsp) sweet paprika (2 tsp) , sea salt (1/2 tsp), crack pepper (1/2 tsp) and butter 1/4 cup (maybe 1/3 cup) with 2 pounds of wings.
In Costco yesterday, seeing the Frank's hot sauce again, and thinking "Who would go through that much hot sauce unless they owned a restaurant? Then I remembered your wings video, & bought the sauce. Husband doesn't like eating wings. Says it's "Too much work for the meat you get.' So I bought a tray of legs, and thighs, and here I am looking up the recipe and chiming in to thank you for your "Dot2" delivered with the warmest, most beautiful smile! We
I’ve been Keto for a while now and Franks red hot is made with canola oil which is not Keto friendly...is there a substitute for Franks made without Canola
The Buffalo wing sauce has canola oil in it but the regular old franks red hot doesn't. You want to use the original red hot version , not their Buffalo wings sauce.
Well I do recommend oil for the pan or foil so your wings don't stick (and they will). If you don't want to use oil then I suggest skipping the tin foil and cook the wings fat side down on the pan. If there is enough fat, it will render and the wings will release pretty easily. Also make sure you pat the wings super dry before baking to help the skin get crispy.
i'm from europe and i always wondered where you can buy olive oil, that is not extra vergine, i've never seen it here in the shelfs. now i know it goes in the usa 😬
You can use anything. It looks like Frank's substitutes the fat from the butter with a vegetable oil, adding more omega 6s, if that's a concern. For me it is. They also use butter flavor. Not sure what's in the butter flavor haha, but like anything, probably fine once in a while. The reason we use butter or any oil is to up the fat content and also to make it stick to the wings. cheers.
NOTHING beats the original recipe when it comes to Buffalo wing sauce, but darling? You're missing out if you want CRISPY wings. Try this.... th-cam.com/video/wWCkaZbDu5E/w-d-xo.html _(you're welcome)_
Few things are missing if you want to call it the original yes Frank's Red Hot and butter or shortening I like half butter and shortening and a pinch of salt and a spoon of vinegar pinch of onion powder pinch of black pepper fresh ground and about two spoons of corn syrup on the wings themselves just onyon powder and and salt brine for 24 hours before and last but not least fry them ... Fry them in good old lard. 375 Get it crispy Add Tabasco to the sauce about 10 hard smacks exempt the viniger if you add Tabasco Tabasco it's basically hot viniger. go straight from the fryer to a container with the sauce and shake . Don't forget the corn syrup to make it stick to the wing and mouth and hand . Not to much To ask give them that saucy texture. Try it . Yeah lard gross . It's the biggest difference. And the og way. Make this for people and thsy will swear it's something that is professional. ....... because you can't cook with lard anymore and even the best oils can only get about 3/4 the way to the taste and that's going to cost ya about 16 bucks for oil I like this recipe it's still closer than some but if your looking for that I swear I just left a dive bar with amazing wings yet I have cash in my pockets from last night feel and taste try what I said. I cook this every year for my work evory one thinks I pay a cook or something as a young adult I loved wings do I asked evory five bar cook till I had it I can make myself 15 for right about 6 to 7 bucks 2019 .....adv price for 10 now is 10.99 to 13.50 and trust me this recipe is the og . You can't get wings like this under about 14 to 15 for 12 . If you can even find good ones . Sorry op post you just have to fry them and the og buffalo ny wings where fried in lard. If you love wings you got to try this. I blow my friends away I taught my wife to make it for me and um...............like Heck I would ever leave a woman that can make wings like that .. impress your friends Guys . Enslave your husband's. . Woman he will brag to his friends . My friends always try to get my wife to make them. And there wife's love the fact thay know where there husband is on football night. . Not a bar not spending 70 to 90 bucks is there anything wings can't do ??
Made it your way- it turned out perfect
Thank you for posting such great recipes! I love this one. I make enough for our evening dinner and also for lunch the next day. I do not care for leftovers but this really makes good leftover meal. Thank you again!
Glad you liked it, Sue -- high praise that you even like it as a leftover meal :)
Dot, I use non-stick aluminum foil in my pan which helps with the sticking issue. These are very good and my hubby loved them. Made for our 6th anniversary and he was one happy man!

Awesome, thank you, glad you like the videos :)
Very easy to follow and informative video! Thank You
Only thing I'd do differently.
Is cook them a few minutes more with the sauce on them.
Add more sauce later if needed.
@just watching Videos You can bake them in the oven with the sauce on. Works in an air fryer too.
@just watching Videos I figured that, but I decided to counter your sarcasm by being a smartass. And have you tried Wings in an air frier?

very nice, and great note about the extra virgin olive oil. Not many people seem to know that.
And yes I make mine this way..yumm
Funny, Dot, as I turn this video on I was eating pork rinds with Franks Red Hot and a dab of cream cheese. It really is the best hot sauce. I will definitely be making this recipe.
Yum!! Thanks for this recipe, Dot...can't wait to do some up!

Thanks! Gimmicks were too expensive. We're getting those next year. (kidding). Cheers.
Made these last night finally. Yummy! Thank you for your videos.
What did you preheat the oven to
That's the Original Buffalo Chicken Wings recipe!!!! Am from Buffalo New York!!! YUMMY 😋 New Subscriber
How about using an air fryer?
Very nice and easy good job
Great job!! Super easy and delicious original recipe
Very nice! And I love your salt and pepper grinders!
Thank you! I actually link to them in my Amazon Store if you're curious (see video description). Cheers.
You can add a tbsp of white vinegar to that sauce for a nice twang! Try it, you'll love it
i just made these, delicious and so easy. I love watching you cook, thank you.
Thank you and glad they turned out!
What temperature for preheating?
I just tried franks red hot on a burrito, it's my new favorite
Made this tonight. They were delicious and really hit the spot. Thanks for making such amazing videos.
Ah, that's great! Thank you for letting me know :) Always a pleasure to hear.
What did you preheat the oven to ??
THAT LOOK GOOD!
Oh yeah Frank it up those wings looks delicious.
If you want to add some extra crisp to the chicken wings, once they are dry before putting them in the oven, sprinkle a little baking powder on them. It will make a chemical reaction with the skin once cooking and you will have a nice suprise 😊
We keep asking how hot do we preheat oven to and we can't get answer Mam Thanks if you could help, they look very good also 👍
two of my favorite things...wings & franks😀
Mine too!
+Dot2Trot's Low Carb Living 😀
Does that mean 4 whole wings! Or 2 whole wings cut in half
looks really good.
Did Dot say to turn the chicken wings or not?
Can you toss the wings in the sauce first, then bake them?
My favorite...reminds me of Miami Subs wings...yummy
These look delicious! We will have to give these a try. 😋

Glad you liked!
I never hear the temperature of the oven

All listed in the link in the video description. Cheers!
Dot2Trot's Low Carb Living thank you, these turned out amazing by the way, thanks for the video!

@@AbsoluteFidelity yep. Exactly what i was going to say. Lol
I like some heat on my wings, the butter will reduce the heat so I keep the butter to a minimal.
Making this for Super Bowl today. Didn’t understand the rotate part so I guess each tray goes under the broiler for 5 minutes??
Hi, Dot! I don’t like spicy food, what could I substitute for the red hot sauce? Any ideas on how I can make chicken wings without the spicy element.
I’ll give it a try! So, do I just bake the wings as per your original recipe? Thanks, Dot
Yep :)
You rock!
Hey there! Overseas here... I can't find Frank's Hot Sauce in my country. Can I use sriracha, instead?
Any kind hot sauce will do except Tabasco sauce.
Thanks, Dorothy! :-)
How do you make the tnt sauce
In Costco yesterday, seeing the Frank's hot sauce again, and thinking "Who would go through that much hot sauce unless they owned a restaurant? Then I remembered your wings video, & bought the sauce. Husband doesn't like eating wings. Says it's "Too much work for the meat you get.' So I bought a tray of legs, and thighs, and here I am looking up the recipe and chiming in to thank you for your "Dot2" delivered with the warmest, most beautiful smile! We
Thank you! If I'm smiling it's because of people like you :)
Beautiful Lady, Thank You Dot
Like wtf
I’ve been Keto for a while now and Franks red hot is made with canola oil which is not Keto friendly...is there a substitute for Franks made without Canola
I wouldn't know if there's a hot sauce made without canola. Sorry :(
I mean I am pretty sure it exists, lol, I just would have to go hunting.
Something didn't seem right, so I checked my bottle of Frank's. There is no canola oil in it. It's vinegar based. Hope that helps :)
Why isn't canola oil Keto friendly? It has zero carbs and no sugar.
The Buffalo wing sauce has canola oil in it but the regular old franks red hot doesn't. You want to use the original red hot version , not their Buffalo wings sauce.
Why bake instead of fry?
You could definitely fry :)
Is the oil necessary? Or can i skip it
Well I do recommend oil for the pan or foil so your wings don't stick (and they will). If you don't want to use oil then I suggest skipping the tin foil and cook the wings fat side down on the pan. If there is enough fat, it will render and the wings will release pretty easily. Also make sure you pat the wings super dry before baking to help the skin get crispy.
Can I use vgb oil instead?
I'm not familiar with vgb oil...if you meant vegetable oil, I'd say no only because for LCHF or keto it is considered bad for you.
Dot2Trot's Low Carb Living yes I meant vegetable oil. Thanks for your respond 😊.
i'm from europe and i always wondered where you can buy olive oil, that is not extra vergine, i've never seen it here in the shelfs. now i know it goes in the usa 😬
Have to use butter? Can we just use Frank's wing sauce ?

Help!! Is that 4 Whole wings or 2 wings cut in half per serving??
A serving is 4 ounces which is 4 wings (2 wings cut in half no tips -- depending on size of wings).
Preheat oven to 425°.
I love ur video that look good
I'm get up in Hamburg NY! I got Franks hot sauce powder at Sams club
Hmmmm...hot sauce powder :)
It makes the wing more crispy
I'm from Hamburg ny
I thought you would marinade the wings in the sauce and bake them.
The sauce won't stick at all if you do it that way. I've made that mistake before. Wasted so much hot sauce.
yeah these are pretty good 7.5/10
Put wings on a pan grate to make them crispier otherwise they cook in their own fat and become rubbery.
NOTHING beats the original recipe when it comes to Buffalo wing sauce, but darling? You're missing out if you want CRISPY wings.
Try this.... th-cam.com/video/wWCkaZbDu5E/w-d-xo.html _(you're welcome)_
I made kfc hot wings with this sauce
Put garlic powder in the sauce while cooking and you have spicy garlic wings 😁
Great idea :)
I tried this suggestion last night, and it was fan-freaking-tastic! Thank you
I wanna marry this woman!
Good recipe and Dot is hot too ☺️
Finger licken chicken 🤤

Too much butter. There's no kick to those wings.
Enjoyed the video, but you need a new apron.
