    In Thai
    Pad means stir fry.
    Kana means Chinese broccoli.
    Moo means Pork.
    Krob means crispy.

    I only have Chinese broccoli, chili, and pancetta in my fridge, and I thought this could be real good in a stir fry, kind of like pork belly. Kenji posting this is validating

    Hey, i just wanted to say sorry about the comment i made a couple of days ago about the "if u had a penny for every "uhm" i would be in the 1%". It was really shitty of me to say something like that and i realize that i went too far with that joke and i feel like an asshole for that, in all honestly i whole heartedly apologize, its fine if you dont forgive me, i wouldn't either.

      Alex Brooker it goes deeper than that. Look through Kenji’s recent text posts here under the “Community” tab and you will understand. This guy apologizing meant no harm but clearly there was stuff he wasn’t aware of when he made the post so apologizing was the right thing to do.

    I am thai and grew up eating many of these kinds of dishes, no pancetta though, but it respect your addition, i will watch your thai recipes with great interest.

    "Actually we're gonna eat it right now and I'll cook something later" haha, how I know that feeling! I see that outdoor wok set-up is as addictive as I imagined it would be. After a house with a garden it'll be my first purchase, together with a proper outdoor pizza oven. How you inspire us!

    Yum! This is perfect. I have Gai Lan growing in the garden right now and this would be how I'll cook on first harvest. Just curious mostly with Thai stir fries they just directly cook everything in oil while on Chinese stir fries they'd blanch the veggies first. Ive never had Gai Lan so I wonder which method would suit it best?

      @@JohnHausser There's a pasta restaurant near me that makes the real carbonara with guanciale. It gets really crispy and it has really good flavour. Ever since trying it, it's been my favourite cut of pork.

    I used bacon after seeing your snapshots and recipe on your instagram and the smokiness felt entirely inappropriate in context-have been subbing pork tenderloin, since, with delightful results. (it doesn’t hurt that bird chiles are in season at LA farmer’s markets)

    Everyone always cooks their vegetables so that they are fresh and crisp these days. I don't want a cooked salad. I want wilted soft veggies! Lol. J/k, to each their own, I just noticed that nobody really cooks their vegetables much, but I love them soft and tender vs crisp.
