The play where he's parallel to the ground and almost completes the pass is one of the most amazing plays for no gain I've ever seen. I've never seen anybody who can get just up to the line of scrimmage before a pass like he can. And Patrick still does an excellent job at taking care of the ball.
It is the only incomplete pass that I have ever seen that makes a ton of highlight reels, and it absolutely belongs there. I was so bummed that he dropped that pass. If he catches that ball and can fall backward for the TD, then regardless of the outcome of that game, that pass becomes known as the greatest play in any Super Bowl ever. Most unbelievable throw that I have ever seen.
He is nothing short of amazing. A flip of his wrist and it's a 20-yard pass. Shovel passes, across his body and in this clip, one with his LEFT hand. You just have to like this young man.
Amazing that he has compiled this in 5 seasons. I think the 3rd and 15 against the 49ers in the 4th quarter in the SB, the run in the last two minutes against Philly in this year's SB, and the pass against Baltimore 4th and 9 early in his career are so epic. He is a guy you want to root for , too.

I feel us Brits seem to want you to accept our football (soccer) and the Premier League and such and don’t put in the same effort and respect to the NFL. I’m British, this isn’t my football but decided after self teaching myself a few rules from watching the Super Bowl over the last couple of years I’d learn and even I gasped!
As a fan of over 30 years it seemed like every other year in the 90's KC had a chance at a SB. One of the top 2 or 3 teams in the league. The playoff wins just barely escaped us. We were a hair away in every game. Some star player made a play towards the end and we lost. Now that we have Mahomes, a truly great player at QB, I see we were never really that close. It only looked that way. You may hold a great player down for most of the game but eventually you see why they're great. Eventually they break your back. Pat has 3 or 4 of these impossible plays a game. It's insane the level of vision and how quick his decision making is. And he only gets better as time goes on...
Lol yep, Mahomes has that incredible ability to never let unfortunate plays get him down, he learns from it and dominates right after. He has an unbelievable god given talent that he’s very much using and making a wonderful living off of it, I’ve got nothing but pure respect for him

People are seeing Mahomes working through his reads, taking what is given to him more over the past couple of years without as many deep balls but his true value is in his ability to continuously extend drives by doing this 💩, then hit somebody with a crazy arm angle like a baseball shortshop. It's just baffling to think he could continue to get better.

I know people talk about the game vs the Steelers that put Mahomes on the map but the game that showed me that Patrick Mahomes was that guy, was the Denver game in 2018. I picked that one because Mahomes struggled for a majority of that game. Sure the left handed toss was amazing. But I got to see what this guy was like when he was facing adversity, when things didn’t come to him so easy. But he made a ton of excellent throws in that game, and Mahomes just coming. The throw to Hill, the throw to Robinson, the throw to Demetrius Harris, the throw to Kelce on 3rd down and it became 1st and goal. The TD run. I just love how calm and cool Mahomes was the entire game. He never paniced.
Mahomes has great football instincts, which cannot be learned. He's like a 1 in a million type player. Who can throw an accurate pass when their body is parallel to the ground and just inches above?
You talk to players wo move from HS to college, then college to PROs - those who make that path say the same thing about each new step - players are faster, they are quicker, they can change in an instant, they can use your own direction against you with amazing subtlety... some of this scramble stuff is just staying alive until that very last instant and making a lightning fast move that negates the best efforts at positioning or coverage. He's a master at knowing when to tuck it and bust downfield. Sheer pleasure to watch Mahomes play - enjoy it folks, he's a great one !

I know people talk about the game vs the Steelers that put Mahomes on the map but the game that showed me that Patrick Mahomes was that guy, was the Denver game in 2018. I picked that one because Mahomes struggled for a majority of that game. Sure the left handed toss was amazing. But I got to see what this guy was like when he was facing adversity, when things didn’t come to him so easy. But he made a ton of excellent throws in that game, and Mahomes just coming. The throw to Hill, the throw to Robinson, the throw to Demetrius Harris, the throw to Kelce on 3rd down and it became 1st and goal. The TD run. I just love how calm and cool Mahomes was the entire game. He never paniced.

Mahomes has great football instincts, which cannot be learned. He's like a 1 in a million type player. Who can throw an accurate pass when their body is parallel to the ground and just inches above?

He's a master at knowing when to tuck it and bust downfield. Sheer pleasure to watch Mahomes play - enjoy it folks, he's a great one !
