I did not like Amelias cafe tbh. I get the whole ‘self aware’ flick but it doesnt work like doki doki. I also think the extensive build up is what made ddlc so good, but Amelias cafe just feels like a poor attempt at that. ddlc has hours of build up, which yeah is boring but its essential to become attached to the characters as you learn more and more about them

I honestly agree with weird strict dad’s placement, it’s SO OVERRATED! My main problem isn’t that the opening takes 10 years, it’s that it’s so unbalanced. To start off, im 99% sure that the dad is faster than the player when they are sprinting. It’s pretty obvious why this is annoying because sometimes you cant get to the bedroom in time. Another thing is that dad can come when the generator is empty which shouldn’t even be possible since you are basically dying to a mechanic of the game but you cant even stop it because of another mechanic. The last thing that makes up this problem is that an average player can only sort of can only play the classic game mode because the other game modes are insanely unbalanced, like not knowing that dad is coming is just a trash idea. Speedy dad is also insanely unbalanced because it makes dad go at the speed of light. Im not sure how much faster dad is on speedy dad, but i heard its 100 TIMES FASTER THEN REGULAR DAD LIKE WHAT?! And frenzy mode or whatever it’s called has 5x more dads, so 5x more trouble! And become dad is just terrible. It depends on whoever gets dad. Some people literally just wait till the generator is empty or when they hear the kids cooking noodles so they know when the kids are downstairs. The other problem is have is that weird strict dad is WAY too similar to residence massacre. Residence massacre has an original generator mechanic? Well weird strict dad just ripped it off! Residence massacre gives a classic roblox feel by turning your avatar into a noob? Well weird strict dad does the same thing! Residence massacre has a jumpscare sound that works great paired with the jumpscare itself? Well weird strict dad uses THE EXACT SAME JUMPSCARE SOUND!

There’s no buildup, there’s too many questions that aren’t answered- in ddlc there’s many hints that leads you to discover monika is self aware. Here, there’s.. nothing. It might be unexpected but that doesn’t make it good. If it just stuck to being a horror cafe with no “I’m aware this is all a game” it would be interesting.
Most of the old stages in the the true backrooms will get a re-implementation according to Kord. while the old game was more amusing, half of the stages could not be found without outside help because you needed a code from a server from a note. (next update will likely introduce 3/4 ttb)
