Not only does your food look amazing but I appreciate how healthy you make everything without seeming restrictive! Makes me proud to eat vegan/vegetarian! 💖
Me too, she’s the one who first convinced me to get help, now I’m 30 days b/p free :) Her baked fruit crumble recipe helped me so much, it makes me feel like I’m eating smth indulgent w/o actually giving me anxiety about eating smth unhealthy
With her fake robotic calmness? Also, she is someone who has an extremely unhealthy relationship with food. I mean who obsesses over what they are going to eat all-day
S V I’m confused by your comment... do you think cooking everything homemade, being a dietitian, and meal prepping is “obsessing”? What if she loves to cook? Would you rather her show herself eating only convenience foods? She doesn’t put up daily videos so one would assume she preps, eats up what she has and then preps again, filming when she does so because that’s what’s interesting. Just because it’s a food based channel doesn’t mean all she does is sit at home and plan her meals.... if you did maybe you wouldn’t need to be watching Abbey 😉
I love her, Cheap Lazy Vegan, Hot For Food (all Canadian, by coincidence) and Unnatural Vegan. They're all more laid back and have been vegan longer term than some of the vegans on YT.

I've been following Sadia for a number of years and it actually took me a while to realize she was plant-based. Everything just looked so delicious and nourishing it didn't cross my mind! I find her so soothing, I tend to save her videos for when I feel stressed! Very glad to see your take on her - I knew it would be great!
She did a video on different ways to prepare homemade fries when quarantine was in full swing. I did her sweet potato chili fries recipe and it was so damn delicious!
I’ve just started my home cooking journey (hello quarantine) and Sadia’s recipes have totally saved me. She’s amazing and her recipes have even encouraged my fiancé to eat more plant-based.
You and Sadia helped me so much going vegan AND recovering from eating disorder. I’m only halfway through the video but I have great expectations. (Please do a collab 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽)

YES! LOVE Sadia, she helped me so much in my transition to a plant-based lifestyle two years ago. Her recipes are now some of my staples throughout the month. The combination of Abbey's Kitchen & Pick Limes is so life-giving, informative, and inspiring. Thanks for reviewing & affirming Pick Up Limes :)
in south asia, we actually do something similar to the chia seed hack. instead of chia seeds, we use basil seeds, but they look and behave really similar. you usually add them to fruit juices or flavoured milk. i'm guessing thats where sadia got the idea from! another great video, keep up the good work abbey!!! ❤️❤️
I spent part of last summer in Holland and I miss Albert Heijn 😭. And the markets of course. We were supposed to be in Holland again in July, then travel to Germany as well, but.. coronavirus 🤪
Yes, my mom buys them from Albert Heijn in Belgium almost every week 😄 It's so extra but it adds so much freshness, crunch, colors and nutrients to an otherwise plain rye bread and hummus sandwich/toast
my mother used to make me "linaza", which was a beverage made of flaxseed(3/2 tbsp), water ( around 4 cups of water), sugar(or any sweetener of your choice), cinnamon sticks(1 or 2) and cloves(1 or 2, tho everything added besides the flaxseed is based on how you like it anyway) you bring it to a boil and leave it for 10/15 min (lower the heat because it can cause a mess otherwise) and that's it. i love it, she told me it was a common winter beverage when she was little. there are also other interesting recipes like this "API" is another one based in purple corn powder with cinnamon and cloves too, that one you drink extremely hot in winter and its delicious too
I love your little chat at the end…you make me feel good about making mishaps while converting to a plant based diet..it’s been almost 5 years but still have hiccups sometimes ❤️

I stumbled upon pick up limes quite a while ago and I fell in love with her and the videos she has made. I feel like this is what vegans are truly like. They are healthy and just trying to do good in the world. I myself am not vegan but I learn a lot from her channel. I love Abbey and Sadia every time I watch their vid's its like I'm eating ice cream and cherries lol! :)
In Portuguese the name Sadia means "healthy", it's a very suitable name for this lady! Thanks for the review, Abbey, I have watched Pick Up Limes for years and she has such a positive vibe!
This is my first time to view a content creator who thoroughly reviewed the entire channel! With constructive criticism at that. I'm Sadia's follower since the early days of PUL. I'm so glad that I stumbled upon your channel. Thank you for creating wonderful contents. It's never a waste of time to keep your videos playing one by one.
I was literally searching if you have uploaded a review of pickuplimes yesterday, and when i saw this in my sub box i was shocked! I love your approach and your kindness
Great review. I appreciate that there is no sense of competition. I enjoy Pick Up Limes and I enjoy this channel. Thank you for not making us feel that we have to choose one or the other. Canadian dieticians rock!
I've discovered Pick up Limes about 3 years ago and immediately fell in love with Sadia's energy and beautifully presented contents 💖 So happy to hear my gut feeling is confirmed. I love "avantgardevegan" too, and would love to see a review on his channel! His food is beautiful and every time I watch his channel my mouth is watering, haha 😋
Haha, Sadia and Gaz are such benchmarks in the vegan cooking community here on youtube! I was so happy when I saw that they teamed up lastyear (or so). :)
Abbey, thanks for this fantastic video. I especially loved everything at the end when you talked about a sensible approach to food. I love how straight-foward, rational, and evidence-based you are. I'm so glad I found your channel. Keep it coming!
When I try any of her recipes.. I just cook that recipe for the whole month 😍😍😍😍🤣🤣🤣🤣. All the recipes are delicious, healthy and easy what do we need more!!!! And thank you abby for reviewing her channel, it was an enjoyable episode 😍.
I love Sadia and have gotten so many great ideas from her videos! I have to admit, her aesthetic is so soothing that I sometimes fall asleep while listening to her speak LOL.
I love Pick up Limes (not only, but especially) because like your channel it promotes intuitive eating and a healthy relationship to food. That just warms my heart
I love Sadia and agree that her videos are therapeutic. I watch her mostly for her beginner plant guide videos, but I do need to look further into her smoothie and food recipes. I've watched her recipe videos and as soothing as it is, I feel so overwhelmed trying to find all the recipes, prepping and cooking. But like you said, if I can try just one recipe once a week, it will be more attainable for me.
Can’t believe I’m just seeing this video years after posting! I love Sadia! I subscribe to her Pick Up Limes mealplanner/recipe app (was also part of the beta testing group). Sadia is such a ray of light, and all her recipes are delicious and pretty great from a nutritional standpoint ❤ Suggestions for reviews: Plant You and Rainbow Plant Life 😊
I’m not even LGBTQ+ and when you corrected “menstruating women” to “menstruating people” I got so happy! Your channel really is such an amazing inclusive space for everyone. Good job Abbey!❤️
Pandering. To menstruate one needs a uterus to shed its lining. Only biological women can have a uterus. A woman taking T and living as a man or using male pronouns is still a woman, biologically and genetically. Nothing will ever change that, no amount of personal delusion, menial illness or 1984 style Newsspeak. Trans 'men' are women and need women's medical checks, not male ones. No transman will ever need a prostate check, no trans 'woman' will ever need a uterine, cervical or ovarian cancer check.
littleblackpistol A woman and a female are two different things. For your love of “science,” maybe actually do some research before opening your mouth 🤷🏽♀️
First, i am SOOOO happy you reviewed Pick Up Limes! After watching a lot of your other videos, i was waiting for you review this channel because i was curious on your take from dietician to dietician. Sadia’s channel is the most well thought out, insightful, and loving food and wellness channel I’ve come across. She gives the perfect blend of nutrition info but promotes it in a very intuitively mindful and not militaristic way as other vegan channels. The world needs more channels like yours and hers :)
Hi Abbey, great video! I do think it should be pointed out that almost all meals she makes she shows that she puts the extras in the fridge for later and one of the videos you watched she mentions that some of the dishes she is eating she made the day before. She also has a video with a bunch of recipes that her and her husband eat almost every week
I’m so happy that you reviewed Sadia. Her channel was perhaps the biggest influence in my decision to go vegan. I was long considering it, and was really struggling with my diet (after a long battle with GI issues post-HIV diagnosis), and watching her videos made me feel like it was not only possible, but that it could lead me to a more wholesome lifestyle. Her channel honestly changed my life. She provided the tools, knowledge, and hope I needed in a really dark time.
Millet is delicious (the taste is a little bit nutty, and a little bit like corn) and has a wonderful nutrition profile. It is satiating without being heavy, and is very versatile. I’m vegan and am allergic to gluten, so discovering millet about a year and half ago has been a lovely addition to quinoa, rice, bean pastas, etc. Vegan or not, gluten-free or not, I recommend giving millet a try. I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised.
I love Sadia! And as a fellow Dietitian I am also very proud of her. She gives a positive message in all her videos and you learn how to make delicious meals.
Oh, and millet has superfood status in Poland. We have actual cookbooks and diet programmes based around millet, to the point that people are starting to make jokes about alt-med believing, millet-fuelled hippies 😂 I am always baffled that the English-speaking and specifically vegan TH-cam seems to never eat millet while it's become so ubiquitous in my corner of the world :)
Hi Abbey! I have found that reading and understanding the labels on products is quite a challenge! For example, those "Light" or "lactose-free" products that are higher in sugar. Could you please make a video about it? Love you and your channel!
Your discussion of vegan iron reminded me: there is a product called “Lucky Fish” that is a little metal figurine you put pots of boiling liquid to add extra iron to your diet. I know that there are different types of iron though (if you’re getting it in supplements it is either ferrous sulphate, ferrous fumarate, or ferrous gluconate tablets) and I was finding confusing information about how well the body can absorb the type of iron from the Lucky Fish (I’m guessing it is just elemental iron?) Could you do a review of products like this?
Reminds me of using a soup stone. (I think it might be an Eastern European thing?) There was a children’s book about it called Stone Soup that is about sharing to create a bounty, but it comes from a practice.
Hi! The hack of chia seeds in flavored water comes from Mexico. In Mexico it is very common to drink water of lemon, cucumber and chia seeds, and chia seeds actually come from Mexico. However, instead of just flavoring water, we mix water, lemon and cucumber in the blender, and then add the chia seeds.
I have cooked several recipes from Sadia's channel, including that tofu scramble wrap - turned out great and her blog has very clear cooking instructions :) Highly recommend!
Love your videos so much! You approach to balanced meals and snacks has really helped me balance my blood sugar through the day. This is especially important for me since I have PCOS. Some people have criticized your focus on protein, but being more conscious of protein intake has helped me stay satiated through the day. Thanks for that! Also, I noticed you’ve stopped including calorie estimations. While being overly focused on calories can be really problematic, I like that you were normalizing the consumption of 1800-2500 calories (for women especially). I still have many friends who think that all women should be eating
In the netherlands we actually sell the sprouts like that. We sell good and easy to use greens. We also sell all kinds of pre cut greens and fresh green mixes
Sadia is like friend you wish you had. Her videos are peaceful and relaxing, her food is simple and nourishing, and her stance on having a healthy relationship with food is one people strive for. She’s the best - no doubt.
Sadia is awesome! By far one of my favorite TH-camrs and I'm not even vegan. Her channel is so calming and has given me a peaceful approach to food and just being mindful overall. Thanks for reviewing her 👍🥰
Have you heard of Waffles With Leila? She's a great example fo someone managing to eat a balanced and healthy diet whilst juggling a super demanding working week and lifestyle. Her recipes are delicious!
I love that you reviewed her. I’ve been watching her for years, and she provides genuinely helpful information with a wonderful aesthetic haha. She is amazing! More people should watch her.
First time I have looked at your channel and I must say I was impressed with this assessment. I love Sadia and Pick Up Limes. Also if you purchase the receipes which incidentally are incredible value… it is amazing. I got 500+ pages of content!!! Such good value.
Just an idea for yalls granola.. I love to add dried edamame.. The salty pairs great with the oats and a little chocolate.. And it's a great protein source... Try it out
Yaaaaaas love you and Sadia! I laughed when this popped up, because really the only thing to say is about PUL is, “Sadia, please come cook for me.” Lol
I find her videos to be kind of therapeutic....they are so calming and relaxing. She is my favorite and I am not even vegan! Lol! Thanks for a great review!
Before this, I had only watched the reviews that were bad. When I saw you have a Pick Up Limes one too, I thought, "I bet this one is glowing" and it WAS! I LOVE Sadia!! Pick Up Limes is one of my favorite TH-cam channels!
Honestly, Sadia is the reason why I was finally able to stick with veganism and the reason I want to become a dietitian. She's so soothing and doesn't judge and thanks to her is why I'm considered a "chill vegan" by my friends😂 One of my favorite quotes about her is "If you trip just turn it into a dance and keep on smiling"❤️
I was just watching some recent videos of yours and was wondering if you had reviewed Sadia's diet yet. To my surprise, you did and today as well!! You and Sadia are some of my favourite dietitians on TH-cam and such inspiration!! Love from the West Coast and greetings to a fellow Canadian :)
I would love to see you review Amy's Organic Frozen Meals. I have chronic pain and cannot do much, if any, cooking. I live on Amy's meals and have always thought they were healthful, but curious to see what you have to say.
Her recipes look so good! I will definitely try them. I'm not full time vegan or vegetarian, but I mostly eat that way. Following Pick Up Limes. Thanks Abbey!
I was just thinking the other day that I need to check if you reviewed her yet. I love her videos (I’m not vegan) and since she’s in Europe I love seeing food brands that I also know and use 😊
Hello! I'm new to your channel and I learn something new every time I watch one of your episodes and have recommended your channel to many of my friends. Thanks so much!
Abbey! Thanks so much for the feature and for all the kind words 🥰 And congrats as well on the pregnancy - you are glowing! 🌻

She's the only yb that does not trigger my eating disorder, i love that you gave credit to her. She's lovely.

Same! Have you made PUL's chili or the lasanga soup? Both have helped me with my ed recovery

I love Pick up Limes (not only, but especially) because like your channel it promotes intuitive eating and a healthy relationship to food. That just warms my heart
I'm so glad!
Sadia is such a ray of light, and all her recipes are delicious and pretty great from a nutritional standpoint ❤
Suggestions for reviews: Plant You and Rainbow Plant Life 😊
Yeees!!! I love Pick Up Limes and Sadia's recipes. It's the reason why I like oatmeal now. I also love her attitude towards food.
Agreed!
I was literally eating Sadia’s Banh Mi sandwich while watching this video. I love her recipes. Thank you for this video!!
I’m not even LGBTQ+ and when you corrected “menstruating women” to “menstruating people” I got so happy! Your channel really is such an amazing inclusive space for everyone. Good job Abbey!❤️
Thank you. I’m really investing hard in that and I Believe it’s very important
I don’t get it. Woman menstruat.
No transman will ever need a prostate check, no trans 'woman' will ever need a uterine, cervical or ovarian cancer check.
olly2027 Trans men also menstruate, but aren’t women
littleblackpistol A woman and a female are two different things.
Agreed, thank you!
Thanks for sharing!
I'm so glad it was helpful!
You and Sadia have helped me SO much with my ED, i could watch your videos all day long because they’re so comforting to watch ☺️
I love Sadia! And as a fellow Dietitian I am also very proud of her. She gives a positive message in all her videos and you learn how to make delicious meals.
Agreed!
Thank you so much for introducing me to this You Tuber! I can't wait to try some of her recipes!
Great!
Thanks for the intel!
Finally the review I've been waiting for. Now I can die in peace.
😂👍
hahahahaha i am crying
Honestly same
Whoop! I have been waiting for this, haha. Also, I remember seeing a comment about looking at viewers “what I eat in a day”? Would you ever do that?
That's a great idea, would love to see her do that
On the list to do!
Hi Abbey!
I have found that reading and understanding the labels on products is quite a challenge!
For example, those "Light" or "lactose-free" products that are higher in sugar.
Could you please make a video about it? Love you and your channel!
Thanks for the suggestion!
Sorry, am I missing something? How is it a challenge (unless you have eye problems, of course)? 🤔
bbmcgee33 i think they mean it’s hard to know what’s “better” for you or not!
Her channel is one of the most aesthetically pleasing ones youtube has ever seen
Agreed!
I heard about that years ago I was wondering about that!
I've heard of people in the past using iron nails in soups!
Thanks for the suggestion!
@@miimakakku3722 an actual nail?? I hate picking out a bay leaf never mind a nail 😂
Reminds me of using a soup stone. (I think it might be an Eastern European thing?) There was a children’s book about it called Stone Soup that is about sharing to create a bounty, but it comes from a practice.
Finally!!! Sadia is has changed my life- she is amazinggggggg and also had changed my diet
😊👍
Who else has learned so much about eating a healthy diet by watching Abby's videos?
I'm so glad!
Thank you for the second opinion. I really wanted to trust Sadia, and was a bit afraid that it was too beautiful to be true!
Review SweetPotatoSoul? She's really sweet and enjoyable to watch!
On the list!
I love her.
@@AbbeysKitchen Can you also review Rachel Ama please?
SweetPotatoSoul and Rachel Ama are my favorites along with AdvanteGardeVegan
Yes! 🙌
her videos helped me so much to find peace with food and in life in general. she’s so inspiring and her recipes are so beautiful and delicious.
I'm so glad!
I love sadia's content! Also, I love the light green color you have on today!
Thank you!
I love Sadia and her channel. Her food is beautiful! Thank you, Abbey, for reviewing her ♥️
😊❤️
I love how she’s not pushing her viewers to be vegan but I’m being encouraged to eat plant based foods
sadia is a goddess!! watching her videos instantly relaxes me and i learn so much
I have cooked several recipes from Sadia's channel, including that tofu scramble wrap - turned out great and her blog has very clear cooking instructions :) Highly recommend!
Yum!
I'm so glad it is helpful! And thank you for the feedback
Girl you're pregnant yet still SO pretty!! Love ya😘
Thank you!
What a weird way to compliment someone 😂 but I agree that Abbey is quite lovely
Thank you so much, I have been waiting for you to review on her for a long time! Finally!
Hope you enjoyed it!
In the netherlands we actually sell the sprouts like that. We sell good and easy to use greens. We also sell all kinds of pre cut greens and fresh green mixes
Thanks for sharing!
I’m beginning a plant-based diet and feel so inspired by your recipes and wieiad reviews like this one! Love your videos, Abbey!
I'm so glad!
YESSS OMG I am obsessed with Sadia she is so precious and her videos always make me drool
Agreed!
Sadia is like friend you wish you had. Her videos are peaceful and relaxing, her food is simple and nourishing, and her stance on having a healthy relationship with food is one people strive for. She’s the best - no doubt.
Agreed!
I had never heard about her and I know I love her! The meals look sooo good
😊👍
Sadia is awesome! By far one of my favorite TH-camrs and I'm not even vegan. Her channel is so calming and has given me a peaceful approach to food and just being mindful overall. Thanks for reviewing her 👍🥰
I'm so glad!
Have you heard of Waffles With Leila? She's a great example fo someone managing to eat a balanced and healthy diet whilst juggling a super demanding working week and lifestyle. Her recipes are delicious!
I'll have a look!
This video is the union between my fav youtubers
😊❤️
Try it out
Yum! Thanks for sharing
I got so excited when I saw you review her! My two favorite and inspirational RDs in one video! I love it! 😍
Hope you enjoyed it!
My two fave TH-camrs, I clicked immediately when I saw this
😊❤️
Yesss 🙌 I love her content and yours - match made in heaven! Side note - you are delivering some amazing maternity looks. Gorgeous top/dress!
Thank you! 😊
Yaaaaaas love you and Sadia! I laughed when this popped up, because really the only thing to say is about PUL is, “Sadia, please come cook for me.” Lol
Same!
I find her videos to be kind of therapeutic....they are so calming and relaxing. She is my favorite and I am not even vegan! Lol! Thanks for a great review!
Agreed!
I love her soo much, her channel is so chill.
Pd: can you do a review on Mina Rome what i ate in a week?
I'll have a look
Before this, I had only watched the reviews that were bad. When I saw you have a Pick Up Limes one too, I thought, "I bet this one is glowing" and it WAS! I LOVE Sadia!! Pick Up Limes is one of my favorite TH-cam channels!
Sadia is a gem, just like you. Such good content.
Thank you!
Yay! Im so excited! I’ve been waiting for thisss!
😊👍
Love Sadia and Pick Up Limes! My only beef with her meals in Spain is that she ate no
Spanish food!
Yeah, we've been waiting for her video like ages haha ♡ tnksm for doing this!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Honestly, Sadia is the reason why I was finally able to stick with veganism and the reason I want to become a dietitian. She's so soothing and doesn't judge and thanks to her is why I'm considered a "chill vegan" by my friends😂
One of my favorite quotes about her is "If you trip just turn it into a dance and keep on smiling"❤️
Glad that was helpful!
Thank you! Hope you enjoyed it 😊
I've been adding chia seeds to my water for close to 5 years. I love it.
I would love to see you review Amy's Organic Frozen Meals. I have chronic pain and cannot do much, if any, cooking. I live on Amy's meals and have always thought they were healthful, but curious to see what you have to say.
Whenever I'm able to travel again, I will definitely try the chia seed in the water hack. I loved that.
Great!
Hope you enjoyed it!
Abbey Sharp I definitely did! ☺️
Her leek and pea pasta was the first recipe I ever made of hers a few years ago. I LOVED it and it is still in my regular rotation.
Love the pick up limes channel!❤ also would love to see you review downshiftology
On the list!
Hello! I'm new to your channel and I learn something new every time I watch one of your episodes and have recommended your channel to many of my friends. Thanks so much!
Thank you, I'm so glad!
