All your outfits and ideas are great. I particularly liked the burgundy pants outfit and the black dress with the bright pink shirt. I think pink tones suit you so well.
Gorgeous outfits - my favourite was your slip dress with that beautiful, bright pink shirt! Absolutely stunning! And I just love how you accessorize with the shoes and the bags. I feel so “neutral” compared to you LOL I always wear the same black shoes and have only neutral bags (except for my super cute silver bag).
Love the tip for unexpected shoe and bag. I have had the same issue with buying yardage for a dress and then not wanting to waste any by making a top. The waste comes in by not sewing it into anything.
Great video Sara! All of the featured outfit’s are great ideas! That first outfit with the maxi dress & jean jacket is so me! (But I would wear all of them!) I also love wearing white in the summer, it’s a staple for me! I am like you when it comes to prints and bright colors…but I’ve been working hard in incorporating them in my wardrobe lately. Thanks for making me feel normal!
I love videos like this, because I've never really styled anything. I'm a super plain Jane. This is very educational for me! I laughed at one point though, because I literally thought to myself how I liked the tan shoes you had paired with one of the outfits, and then you apologized for the shoes! 😂 I like how you've taken fairly basic pieces and truly elevated them without getting too fussy, simply by adding some color. BTW, I'm one of your "brightly dressed in prints" followers. 😂
i don't think the shoes are bad on their own but b/c my legs are so short i look better in midi skirts when either more foot is visible or i wear heels. but in the end i prioritize comfort over everything else, so sneakers it is!
I’m trying to come of wearing mostly black. Your outfit with the red bag and Mary Jane shoes reminded me that I bought a red leather handbag recently (which was love at first sight), and realised the amount of prints with red accents seem to be growing in my stash😂. But also the red leather looks great with forest green and tan colours… Thanks for your video, some lovely pieces and great ideas!
I especially loved your tip on florals and stripes! There was a tip I heard but haven’t tried was on mixing patterns, that as long as they have similar/same colors in both they’ll work together… I’m just not sure.
The Impressionists would agree with your ideas of white and black. They didn’t use black in their paintings. I love that you got your colors done. I thought it was a little bit of hogwash, but then I saw the change on you. I’m a convert.
I love color and wear it often but not in prints or patterns much. I prefer my prints to be more subdued like a white outline on a colored background. I don't really wear colored bottoms as in reds, yellows, etc.. I wear mostly neutral bottoms, colored tops and another coordinating colored or another neutral layering piece. My footwear is also pretty neutral and I have 1 purse and 1 tote style bag that are neutral and go with everything. Other accessories I wear based on mood and outfit.
First my favorite piece was your white sweater. Done in either black, darker grey or darker red would be perfect. I tend to add color with accessories. I wear almost exclusively black as I'm a middle aged nerdy Goth. My oldest daughter, sisters and mother's family are always trying to push their version of colors onto me that screams the ugliest Asian Grandma from hell. Most Asian Grandmas would avoid it like the plague. Not anything against your choices which are fine. I am thinking of adding some items just until I lose some weight.
when i think of Asian grandma i think of head-to-toe white linen in mid-summer covering the entire body with an umbrella for shade. i would love to someday rock that look.
@@knottygnome my experience is the ugliest combination of prints that screams colorblind and is made from the cheapest fabrics. Could be my family and their friends. As a kid, I looked at my mother's clothes in her closet. She had very well made and elegant clothes from the 40s to the late sixties and it made it with her to the US. Then it nosedived into the current monstrosity it is around 1968. I have a few off white linen outfits, including two Hanboks for funerals. Not anything like your vision.

nothing wrong with that if it works for you!
Agreed!
Cute outfits! Gorgeous white handknit sweater!
Thank you! 😊
Great suggestions! I love your examples.
Glad it was helpful!

Fun video Sara. I love seeing all your outfits. You must collect coach bags!
yes, i have quite a few!
Great outfits and tips!
Thanks so much!

very true. i suppose i could always destash or donate the leftovers as well.

Your makes are awesome
thank you very much!
Fab outfits I do love the last one a lot; my favorite is the beautiful blouse with the red handbag. Scrumptious. Good formulas; thank you!
i'm so glad you enjoyed it!

that sounds like a good starting point. i think you'd just have to try things together and see how you like it.

eh, i wouldn't say it's hogwash exactly but it hasn't changed my life or anything. i say wear what you love and you'll be in a good place.
Great video ❤
thank you so much for stopping by! i appreciate it
You have sooooo many accessories 😮
too many, it's true.

that sounds like a very sensible way to incorporate color.
❤❤❤😂😊
