  • I'm camped in a wonderful spot near Sedona, AZ. It's called Wet Beaver Creek and there is some amazing history all around me.
    Today I head over to Montezuma Castle & Well National Monuments. There are some cool cliff dwelling built by the Sinagua Indians around the year 1100. Montezuma's Castle is a 5 story building built high up on a cliff face overlooking Wet Beaver Creek. The Sinagua people completely disappeared around the year 1450, however, they left dozens of villages behind all around the Verde Valley, Sedona and all the way up to the Flagstaff area.
    Montezuma's Well is particularly interesting because it is a completely enclosed ecosystem. There are 5 species that live only here. There is the Montezuma Well diatom, an amphipod, leech, water scorpion and a snail. Many of these animals feed on each other, but they also support ducks and other migrating wildlife.
    Now, I know a few of you love the drone shots, so stay until the end for some awesome flying by my friend Barron around my campsite.

    I've seen this place probably 20 x's from other YT'ers but you're the only one who provides "data" about the history, one thing I think everyone enjoys from your channel 🌞 Arsenic? How is that good drinking water? Love the ruins, such incredible construction. Have to think, like the Anasazi's the actual primary reasons was for defense... 🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞

    Possible future talking points:
    * In general, how do you find your camping places? I don’t need GPS, but do you use more word of mouth or Apps? Do you go to Ranger stations for MVU maps?
    * Do you travel in groups? Although you seem to be alone, many times friends around at end.
    * Yes, Food please. Recipes. Ingredients list. Mentions. Vague suggestions. Anything. My 30 hotdog variations are are on iteration 1,546,249. Help.
    * Video equipment.
    * I’m still looking through your old posts, so apologies if any are already covered.
