    This has got to be the easiest fish meal you can cook in a jiffy. Only salt is added as a seasoning to bring out the fish natural flavour. It also removes water and the fishy smell from the fish and results with crispy fish skin. Let it rest for about 20 mins after seasoning with salt. I’ve also made a simple sauce to go with the fish and rice.
    This fish can also be roasted in a preheated oven or air fryer for about 8 mins at 200 degrees C.

    The first part looks like something that I could do. Second part for the sauce is more headache as I do not have the condiments.. I am thinking can I just squeeze lemon on the Saba fish

    The pan frying of fish was it using oil or water ?

    • @ShiokmanEddie
      @ShiokmanEddie  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Of course its oil. Water won't brown the fish like that

    You dont need to fry in so much oil, because saba is a very oily fish!

      The additional oil helps to promote the light maillard, in combination with the salt, without over cooking. Gives a lightly firm but juicy result to the flesh.

    If you train a monkey how to fry Mackerel, you don t have to say anything, just let monkey see what you do ......not even tell him what 3 kinds of dirt to marinate the dead fish ...

      There's text at the right bottom corner, it's salt. He just add it 3 times in small amount each for better spread. Later the text is at the right bottom corner.
