I was 13 years old, living in NJ on this day in 1963. I remember all the live TV news coverage. Was glued to the TV for four days straight. Walter Cronkite and then somebody by the name of Dan Rather reporting live from Dallas. Ruby killing Oswald on live TV, etc, etc.......... At the time all so unbelievable. Why things like assassinations just didn't happen! after all this was the USA! thanks for posting this. Interesting to see how many people turned out.
It would have been nice if the city of Dallas held some kind of official memorial, even just a small-scale recognition. A collective moment of silence or a speech or everybody adding a flower to a floral arrangemet or *something.* Onlookers were just milling around with no real purpose. Sad.
Shame on Dallas for not recognizing the day. Everyone else did.
I think Dallas has something to hide that’s why.
Dallas was complicit with military industrial- that truth will never come out.
@@annetteurbanik3142 Oh yeah? What's still hiding in the sewers on Elm St.?

I was interviewed in this story by Steve Pickett . I was 5 at the time and it was the first time I saw my mother cry .
Ruth Paine was here for the first time on 11-22-23. She also visited the Sixth Floor Museum.
There were thousands! After 12:30 people began to leave. Two hours later I’d say a few hundred were left.

60 years and the U.S. public has not gotten the straight sh!t on what really happened.
6 floor museum, perpetuating J Edger Hoover's lies.
At 11 am there must have been 2700 people jamming the main area.
