Hi John! Great work! Very smart to till up the grass first before tilling deeper. Also smart to have spare pins on hand. That’s gonna be a good size garden. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you peterveeeelli5797! I really appreciate your comment! I love to work my tractor and pushing them.lol Have a good week! See ya in the next one!
Hi John, I use a layer of newspaper, covered by leaves, or straw, between my rows to control the grass and weeds. By fall it has rotted enough to till in and helps the soil greatly.
Happy thanksgiving to you as well Dave!! When you told me a few years ago that Woods was the Cadillac of tractor equipment. You was so right. It's still really smooth and digs like crazy. Have a great weekend! See ya in the next one!
John i found an old “ferguson 2 bottom plow for $150. Modified it to 1 bottom and the hitch to fit our low profile 3 point on our GC’s. Brother thats the way to go. Plow in the fall and let the weather beat it down. Love the vids keep it up
Happy Thanksgiving Andrew! That is a good price and I like your thinking on making it a one bottom plow to fit the GC. I hope you have a great day! See ya in the next one!
Good Evenings Mon Ami 😇👍👌That Massey Fergusson Is Very Well Taking and Maintained OUTSTANDINGLY VERY WELL 😇👍👌💪 OUTSTANDING FULL WATCH VIDEO SIR Cheers👌👌👍👍😇😇🍻🍻
Great job, John. A garden is the way to go! $65 at the grocery store for a few items yesterday. And, the food you grow is much better than the stuff at the store.
Happy Thanksgiving Rick! You are so right! It is unbelievable what it cost to eat these days. I hope you have a great day with family & friends!! See ya in the next one!
Woods makes good stuff. I went to an equipment auction last week. They had a couple Woods rotary cutters ( brush hogs) The steel was heavier. Everything about them seemed to put them out in front of their competitors.
Happy Thanksgiving Gary! You are right! Woods has always made really good equipment. They are not cheap but they will last for years. Have a great day! See ya in the next one!
How's she goin'? Sod busting is hard going eh. You did a nice job breaking the sod and then scraping it off. I also liked to see the 'flexi-link' top link working to perfection as you were tilling. This'll be a nice garden John. Take care!!
Thanks Mike! I try to keep an eye on the tiller the whole time I'm using it. Never know what you might hit. lol Have a great weekend! see ya in the next one!
Thank you WesternKyOutdoors! Yea, it works pretty good if it's not to hot. I hope you and your family had a Happy Thanksgiving! See ya in the next one!
I have a Woods tiller that's about 20 years old and has been flawless. I don't want to critize but don't remove the grass. Has a gardener for over 40 years add as much organic material that your garden can handle. If you feed the worms the worms will feed you. Good luck on your garden project.
Thank you shelw195! It's ok to criticize. I'm use to it, I'm married! LOL You are right but here in south Louisiana if you don't remove most of the grass first. It grows so fast that it will strangle or starve out your plants before they can get a few inches high. By removing the grass first gives them a good chance to get stronger before the grass starts taking over. Happy Thanksgiving! See ya in the next one!
I didn't mean it to critize but be helpful adding organic material to a garden if you have sandy or clay soil is beneficial. You are sitting on the envy of every gardener use your tiller to turn under and kill the grass off in your off season. Check out lazydogsfarm channel he uses black tarps to kill off weeds and grass.
What up buddy! I hate those pins too for same reason, everything on mine I swap to lynch pins. Man, that tiller is awesome! Screw the garden, I'd tear my grass up just to get to use the tiller! Happy thanksgiving and upcoming xmas/new year!
Hey Gene! I hope your Thanksgiving was a good too. If you had a tiller, you would have a awesome garden. Yea, I need to do something with them pins. Have a good week! See ya in the next one!
Ironically I have lost that pin too and another thing to watch out for is the 14mm bolt that holds the pivot shaft for the 3 point arms falling out! I've lost 4 of them then finally put a longer bolt with a nut on it to stop it.
I really need a tiller for the tractor. We have a nice rear tine we picked up last year but I'd like one for the tractor to make it easier to add compost and chips to the soil. As a side note, there's an online wood chip drop service where they will deliver you a truckload of chips or logs or whatever you specify for about 20 bucks a load. Mainly from tree service companies or right of way work. We're so far out that we've only had one load brought in in about a year. The plan is to till it into the garden soil. Keep up the good work! Oh, is that an English Pointer in the dog lot?
A tiller on the tractor is really nice for gardening or leveling land. I did my first garden 70 feet by 100 feet with an old Craftsman rear tine tiller. Worked me too death. Lol the big white dog is a Dogo. See ya in the next one!
Reverse tiller works so much better 👍
They do a great job on dirt. Thanks F.F! Have a great weekend! See ya in the next one!
Hi John! Great work! Very smart to till up the grass first before tilling deeper. Also smart to have spare pins on hand. That’s gonna be a good size garden. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you Martin! You can not have enough extra pins and keepers. Lol. Have a good week! See ya in the next one!
I love your videos, nice work! I’m so sick of seeing nothing but orange and green tractors on you tube. Thank you for showcasing something different.
Thank you peterveeeelli5797! I really appreciate your comment! I love to work my tractor and pushing them.lol Have a good week! See ya in the next one!

Hi John,
I use a layer of newspaper, covered by leaves, or straw, between my rows to control the grass and weeds. By fall it has rotted enough to till in and helps the soil greatly.
That's a good idea LaMont. In my last garden we use hay in between the rows. Have a great weekend! See ya in the next one!

Hello John! That works great to work that up. The Massey and Tiller make a great team. What were you planting? Have a great day buddy.
Thank you John! Didn't plant much. We went into a severe drought so I'm glad I didn't have too much loss. Have a good week! See ya in the next one!
