When you was fabricating the grill. I knew this going to be interesting project. But honestly it's a piece of art. Impressed. Your attention to detail. The rivets nice look. Thanks for great vid and sharing your work.
ALL the best Roy Kelly. i hope and wish you all the best. Cancers is a horrible thing lost my brother to it ive had it my self and Thankfully pulled through.15yrs ago Ive since then had a lovely daughter thanks to the medication and help i received. i wish you the same good luck story as ive had and hopefully a speedy recovery
This project is really amazing. It's coming along nicely guys. Can't wait to see more videos soon. Keep up the great craftsmanship and hard work my friends. Fab On. Weld On. Keep making. God bless.
Fascinating to watch if not amazing! So cool to see you put in the time and effort for even the smallest piece. Love your work!! I also enjoy the music for the repetitious sections!✌️🇨🇦
Fantastic build I’ve been following you ever since I saw you on Make it Custom , love the race car can’t wait for it’s completion and you to win that race. Looking forward to your next video !!
It’s getting amazinger and amaziner! No words to describe so I made one up. When you describe your ideas for fabrication I know exactly what you mean before you do it, so that is working perfectly. Especially evident when you explained the complexity of the cuts to keep the square stock square around the bends. Great big “AHA” moment for me (and I’m 78 and have seen a few things). Your solving of fabrication challenges by using the tools and materials at hand is a talent that I remember from my Grandparents. They were farmers in the ancient times of hammer and tongs, ingenuity and sweat. When you say you’re happy with an accomplishment I actually know how you feel. I feel the same way for a little while. Thanks for that!
@@bennettscustomsco Do you see the stuff Bespoke Coach Works is putting out in Canberra? I have a history in blacksmithing and iron work, sheet metal forming blows my mind! I really love how you work around issues, you have a great future!
Great work as usual Jordan, good to hear that you have a running Flatty to drop in hopefully you wont need to spend a lot of time on the mechanicals. It must be a bugger when the surfs up and you have the racer deadline as well. Cheers
Dude...you have got it totally going on. Great metal fab skills and creativity. How does this channel only have 6500 subscribers? Very cool project and look forward to seeing it on the track.
Nice work! You should pick up a little pneumatic belt sander there are a million uses for them but you would absolutely love it for blending those rolled edges
Man oh man that is looking good 👍👍😎👍👍. The 20x20 edge banding was definitely the right choice over round. Thanks for all the tips, including how to straighten mig wire 😉 and where to make pie cuts in square tubing to create compound curves.
A thought. Not sure if you're bolting the body directly to the frame, but have you considered a strip of rubber or leather along the rails to isolate the body to the frame and additionally create inboard body to frame mounts to minimize any chassis flex to the body. Great project and enjoying all the creative work.
You can twist multiple mig wires together when you need thicker rods. Also you didn't mention that you should pull back as you run the drill to make it straight
Jordan thanks for another video with great progress. When you sat in that thing! your smile become contagious and I began to smile as well and rightly so their brother. Look's pretty dern cool if you ask me. Can't wait to see this thing! all painted up with all its Race Colors and once the engine is in and the exhaust is installed She's gonna look incredible, totally incredible. You must be getting excited there bud. Cheers bruh.
Superb workmanship as usual, the car suits you perfectly. One thing perhaps drop a few tacks on the square tubing on the underside ? You probably did anyways off camera . Hats off to you Jordan 👏🙌👌👍👍
Bonza ep as usual Jordan, loving the tunes also. There must be a way to preserve the metal finish? I know you will do a lovely job painting but I can't stop thinking how beautiful it looks natural steel.
If the pivot point does create an issue with binding you could move it up to align it with the u-joint, then move the pivot of the front rod up also to provide symmetry. Probably won’t notice the 3 degrees difference as much either. Metal skills aside, you have good taste in music too.
looking beautiful Jorden, could u use silicon bronze for patch panels to get less warpage and to be able to hammer and dolly it like tig, seeing i only have a mig, keep up the great work.
Dude i didn't want to subscribe to your channel as I'm overloaded 300 + channels subscribed to but ghe work you're doing on this build is outstanding i love the model A grill on the wall hahahahahaha did you make that work of art?
Make sure you puddle weld those heim/rose joint plugs into the tubes, not just seam weld. Seam welds are notorious for breaking if inside the tube corrodes. .
Awesome work and craftsmanship as usual. Karl from Make it Custom suggested that I check out your channel and I see that you don’t disappoint! I am wondering however, the ‘39 radius rods had been bent so that they would be perpendicular to the axle and I thought you were going to do the same. Was the bend in the part that was for the ’39 for aesthetic reasons or to reduce stress on a cast iron part? Just wondering. Keep up the awesome work and I hope you have a blast racing with your custom racer!
Using the round stock for the cockpit coaming would have looked better. I think a leather covered padded cockpit coaming would look good. It would be laced on the edge of the cockpit like they did in WWI on fighter aircraft.
When you finish this beast come over to nsw and give me a hand with a willys overlander coupe with suicide doors..its one of three made with suicide doors by holden carriage works..

A bit disappointed that you fabbed the "excitement" part. Most youtubers I subscribe to do the same thing. They make sure they say "excited" or "super excited" at some point in the video. I guess it must be a rule, or everyone watched the same How To make money on TH-cam video. Otherwise, good video as usual. Good luck.

Make sure you puddle weld those heim/rose joint plugs into the tubes, not just seam weld. Seam welds are notorious for breaking if inside the tube corrodes. .
Absolutely, I should have stated that in the video.
did you set the rear pinion angle before welding the rods to the rear end?
Hard to change pinion angle with this type of mono leaf set up.
