0:08...how CHEAP was it at Harborfreight sale ?? what is it regularly cost ??
Here in Canada these cost $15 each
5:21 ..I was hoping you would stand on the log and add you weight to it...and really test the breaking limit of this Cam Jam ...lol

it was under $5 at the clearance sale at HF. I have seen them regular price anywhere from $8 to just under $20 depending on when and where you buy them in Michigan.
lol Stand on it, Man I don't have that kind of faith in it. I'm not a skinny guy anymore lol. Hope I answered your questions, Sorry for leaving out these details.

I've been trying to learn a few new knots, and they work great, but in the convenience Department the camjam Reigns Supreme. Got a couple of the aluminum XTs initially, but I recently picked up a few of the plastic ones just because.
Through your testing, what would you say the approximate breaking strength of the plastic ones are? Plenty of specs out there for the aluminum ones but not so much for the plastic copies. Thanks in advance!

Agreed, however the cam jams are very convenient and very nice until you lose them or they break. That's why learning knots is the best bet because that knowledge is then with you for the rest of your life. As for the strength of the plastic one, I wouldn't put it under any more than a 20 lb load. And that's just a wild guess from just handling it and using it. I think if you go much above that you're going to have a failure. Thanks for the comment and Views brother I hope you stick around.

@@charlesartificer2158 copy, I thought about sacrificing one just to see what it can handle. In the interest of hanging other bits of Kit from trees and whatnot. Besides the plastic ones are pretty cheap. Thanks for the reply!

@@WhiteDwarfVR4 no problem at all brother. If you do decide to test one of those plastic ones let me know how much weight it takes. My best guess is about 20 lb or so. It'd be interesting to see if I'm right or not LOL. Have a good night brother
