Why is Tyrian such a good fighting partner though...like he legit did useful assists and things. Really he didn't make a single wrong move this chapter

In my opinion the three person brawl at the end was my favorite fight of the season. Which makes it both painful and amusing to watch.
I feel so much pity for Qrow, every time something good comes into his life it gets ripped from his grasp shortly after.

For me, even though it was exciting, the whole thing felt so contrived. Having Qrow make such a stupid decision really broke my immersion.

The whole fight with Tyrian Clover and Qrow looked so stupid to me, Clover and Qrow should have both realized Tyrian was clearly the highest threat there, and Qrow teaming up with Tyrian made absolutely no sense -_-"
the fault is mostly on clover tho. he was the aggressor, and should have seen that the homicidal maniac takes priority over a former friend. im not denying that qrow bade some dumb decisions teaming up with the person he hates most, but clover definitely did a fucky wucky there

Qrow DID try to fight Tyrian, Clover was the one being a fucking idiot and not letting up. Qrow was in a position where his back was against the wall.

How it should have ended...
1. Robyn goes to the med unit.
2. Tyrian to a holding cell.
3. Clover and Qrow go talk to Ironwood. They were on their way back to base anyway...it was that simple! It's like everyone in that group forgot what was important (aka: my biggest problem with this episode's writing).
Something I've also wondered...they beat Tyrian in Mantle and should lock him up in Atlas...just above them...so why were they flying out away from the cities over the frozen tundra in the first place? 🤔
1-3. the point was that it wasn't logical tho. clover was too blinded by his loyalty to see reason, much like ironwood himself.
and im guessing they were flying up to atlas from mantle, but when tyrian jerked the wheel they were thrown way off course
@@MarrowsRedemptionArc also they probably couldn't just fly straight up into Atlas from Mantle, so they had to go out to the edge and then back in.

This is where I lost respect for the Robyn character. She had no reason to pull her weapon on Clover when she did. Clover looked like he was going to make a deal with Qrow, until she went straight for her weapon.
I kind of love how handcuffed Tyrin took the time to put the pilots hat on. Crwby hasn't confirmed if Clover and Qrow were a couple or if it was a bromance. They got alot of people upset when they did Qrow merch and in his pin set was Clover's good luck pin. Rooster teeth quickly got rid of that item.
I can see Qrow as a canon gay or at the least bi. I can see him do stuff with Tai until they had a falling out and Clover could have been the first serious person Qrow has been with since then.
Clover and Robyn also helpef kill the Qrow and Winter ship. Because Winter x Robyn and Clover x Qrow was a better dynamic.
Get ready for more insanity. Volume 8's timeline is only 2 days and picks up right when volume 7 ends. Won't spoil anything else. But it's the most intense volume to date.
The main reason I like the thought of bi-Qrow is because it opens the possibility of Tai banging his entire team.

@@Carrotspy a person who worked on rwby tweeted it. But then deleted their account after Clover's death. Because they didn't know Clover was going to die. It turned into a cluster of people feeling cheated out of the ship. When it was a bromance. It then made a few attack other ships like remora and the bees. People have since died down but there are still a few people salty about it
@@AnimeFreakX4 I think they just tweeted that they liked the ship, not that it was confirmed that they were lovers. As far as it's been confirmed, Clover was never gay and wasn't a love interest for Qrow.
Bruh Qrow made me so mad this ep. What the Fuji did he expect was gonna happen jumping Clover with a psycho like Tyrian?
Clover didn't give him much choice.
@@Mirality Sure, but Qrow couldn’t have gotten the idea to appeal to Clover: “Hey man, Tyrian’s out and about and he’s clearly the most dangerous man here. Let’s deal with him first and then finish our business”? Did he not think Clover wouldn’t have at least thought to comply?
Just seems like an unnecessary OOC moment just so they could have Clover get sneak-killed
At every point where Clover could have prioritized someone in the fight, he chose to target Qrow. There were situations where literally doing nothing would have been more useful for taking out Tyrian than involving himself (the moment where he hooks Qrow's sword and leaps, spinning, off of Tyrian's back for one). Clover had his orders and didn't deviate from them at all during the fight.
@@deaconpucci6123 Qrow DID make a proposal to return to Atlas first, and talk to ironwood directly to straighten things out. Clover still made it clear that he intended to arrest Qrow regardless. Clover's "Only Qrow is under arrest. After everything we've been through tonight, please don't make me arrest you too" to Robyn

As much as I love the animation team RWBY should not have won that fight it makes no sense and if you think Clover died because of back luck nop he died because of Stupidity I'm sorry star but I have to be completely honest about this Animation it was good story wise it was bad
I'm sorry, but I'll never understand this complaint. Fights don't run on RPG logic where you can just say the Ace Ops are higher level therefore they win. It makes sense why RWBY won because we see them win. That's just how the fight played out.
Weiss, the one with the strongest semblance that includes the ability to summon another fighter to her side, took on Marrow, rendering his semblance that he relies on ultimately useless. Ruby with her speed semblance took on Harriet with her speed semblance (and didn't win by the way, she just held her off long enough for Weiss to come in and help). Blake and Yang, who have been shown to compliment each other well and continue to do so in this fight, took on Vine and Elm, who were working together extremely poorly here. Nothing in this fight goes against anything the show has established.
We see the Ace Ops fight together once before this and they really aren't doing well against the Geist until Clover shows up. And after showing you this, the writers flat out tell it to you with the "What would you guys do without me?" line. Clover did die because he was being stupid though, I'll give you that. But that's also literally the point. He was too consumed by his trust in Ironwood and his strict code that he decided following orders and taking down both of the people he was ordered to bring in was more important than prioritizing the much bigger threat.
@@hdns4 I mean I was comparing RWBY to other Action Anime like DBZ, Naruto Shippuden and One Piece not a RPG so sorry if I worded it poorly its just that the writers didn't really do a good job explaining power scaling in this show in my mind they aren't any stronger than they were in Volume 3 and the only training we see then do is a one ep montage in this Volume with now explanation of what kind of training they are doing how long was the training how difficult was the training none of these things were explained to us and you expect me to believe that they are on the same level as elite huntsman and huntress? Absolutely not you have to have a power scaling system in shows like these or else it won't make any sense
@@JinSeiryuu there is absolutely no power scaling or system of power in RWBY. The writers have made a point of that. There's no techniques or moves that are objectively better than any others. It's just not how this show works. What's important in RWBY is combination of teamwork, adaptability, and experience.

No, you really don't, and that's what I'm talking about when I say this isn't an RPG. "Power-levels" and all of that nonsense belong in an RPG where the outcome of a situation is broken down into numbers and determined by math. And that's fine for an RPG, but that's not how fights actually work that's definitely not how you should go about storytelling.
What matters here in this story is showing how team RWBY has learned to be effective both as individuals and as a team and, more importantly, how they are flexible and able to adapt to rocky and uncertain circumstances. This is juxtaposed to the Aces who are good military fighters and can respond perfectly to orders and the situations they were trained to respond to, but fall apart without leadership, lose their cool when everything begins to go against the "plan", and are ultimately unable to think for themselves. All of this is reflected in the fight and is the reason in the story that RWBY wins. And story is what matters, not power-levels and numbers.
The story should not stop for a fight scene to take place and then resume when it is done. Fight scenes should always be a vehicle for your story. Treating them as mere spectacle and concerning yourself with power-levels is not how you should be thinking about a fight scene in your story. Fight scenes are the ultimate opportunity to show and not tell. A visual representation of where the characters are at in our story, and in that regard, this fight scene succeeds. If the story and the character's arcs were about them simply wanting to become stronger for the sake of it (like a lot of shonen anime such as Naruto and Dragon Ball often is), then I would agree with you. But that's not what it's about, so that's not what the fight scenes should be about. At the end of the day, they are still scenes and like every other scene in your story, they should always be doing something to further plot and character.
