I'm wondering if I should do a live stream instead of a video next week. Are you interested? 😊

I like video content more then a live stream, but if you put the stream back in your Videos it works too i guess. Please be aware that if you just mute your sound, some ppl can still lipread what you say. Just saying this for your own safety :). Mach weiter so!

The part where you pretended to understand what they were saying in Japanese made me laugh so much because I experienced the same thing yesterday. An old lady tried to speak English to me but used a lot of Japanese. It was wholesome 🥹

Lol, there's nothing wrong with saying "I don't understand".
Matter of fact, probably a good way to learn new stuff.

I definitely recommend you go to Miho no Matsubara by using water bus which you can take on board at Ejiri pier near the JR shimizu station if it’s sunny ☀️ or explore Shizuoka downtown. Also it’s getting tea-cultivating season. So, it would be great to experience how to pick up tea leaf 🍃

Thrift stores in Japan makes no sense. If you want to give away your clothes, they’ll give you cents to a dollar, or barely nothing for a new item with tags attached. But they’ll turn around and sell it for full market value as if you were buying it new! 😳 They make a HUGE profit in that case.
It’s not like the US were they’ll give you 30% of the original value, if it’s not a free donation like to Salvation Army. And they’ll still sell it for dirt cheap, since it’s used/donated clothing.
In Harajuku, I found some cool worn British made Dr Martin Shoes in a thrift store. It was roughly 30000 yen, the same exact price as new Dr Martins sold brand new in the Dr Martins store a few blocks away! Or when I gave away a new 70$ USD Zara dress with tag attached, and got back like not even 500¥. What’s even the point?!
Thrifting in Japan just makes no sense.
Anyway, actually your Japanese is very good sounding, you speak really fast. I’ve been learning for three years and still speak slowly like a child. A lot of the time, people will not understand or switch to Eng. 😅 Other than that, I actually have the some amount of comprehension you had when speaking with those ladies. I think many Japanese people use a lot of words and speaking style not taught in the schools. Or they speak so fast, it blends together. がんばてください!

Omg I feel the same way about that! Especially in Shimokitazawa, the things are so overpriced... e.g. a washed out Champion t-shirt WITH stains AND holes! That shitty little things cost 12k. Excuse me?😂
I think thrifting is something so trendy and and cool here in Japan that people are willing to pay so much just so they can say "I thrifted it". I still go thrifting because I feel better about it since it's reused and not new but it gets very frustrating haha
And thank you so much for complimenting my Japanese lol
I really think I should be better at this point though. I'll study again at one point but right now I just can't get myself to do it on top of everything. I'm just vibing for now haha
