Amazing tribute man. Could you consider maybe doing Mykonos by Fleet Foxes? I learned their other songs but Mykonos is a great song and I cannot find any other tutorials on TH-cam! Awesome channel dude, you got another sub (road to 200k)!
swiftlessons Thankyou So Much for this! My Heart still hurts! #ChrisCornell He Was And Still IS *The Best* ! R.I.P to a An Amazingly Talented, Beautiful *Legend* ❤
Worst thing Is I was meant to see him 'Live' The Year we Lost My Mum. So I swore, "Next Year"!! And, I couldn't believe it!! We had Devastatingly Lost him,. I Never got to meet My Idol! 💔 Hopefully, with your help, I'll Learn to play this. Also I'd Love to play 'Through the Window' & 'These Three Words' I'm pretty sure, Learning with you This is Very Possible!! ; )
I am a 62 year old blues rock guitar player from Memphis.....Dont like many of the new artists but Chris Cornell was remarkable......awesome killer voice and his writing talent is just unreal...Why do these great artists leave us so soon....why ?...Miss you Chris....
David Ringo they don’t belong in this shitty new era anymore... they are left behind so we can remember when this world once had the best music and artists.
• maya • I don’t understand why people can’t make music anymore. It also pains me whenever someone calls a guy or girl mumbling about money, sex, and drugs “music”.
@@cannon_penn7618 There's still good music nowadays, but it's not the same, it's extremely rare and compared to past years it may never be the same. R.I.P Chris Cornell, a truly inspirational musician and person... left behind 2 beautiful kids and a wife, may God bless them. Fly easy, you will be missed 😦😢😦😧
IDK if you found out but Chris's first wife was soundgardens first manager and they were married and had a daughter and her name is lily. That nasty Vicky carianas woman somehow managed to seduce Chris and both wrecked his marriage. Not that it matters but just that you might want to know that he actually has three children.
- great video quality - clear instructions - nice voice & playing - free sheet music without paywall, but we can help you with patreon another subscriber !
I remember the first time I heard this song. I left the hard rock café with an indescribable feeling, I think something changed in me. Thank you Chris Cornell
I sobbed while listening listening to you perform this. That was an incredible and emotional performance. What you said about the memories and the friends that shared his music really hit me. I graduated in 1991 and his music was playing in the background of many of my most fond memories. Thank you for sharing this.
+Chris Browning Hey Chris, thanks for the friendly message. To be honest, I got my tears out a few times rehearsing. Music really triggers a lot of emotions and memories, and the artist becomes a part of that... I hope playing this tune is as cathartic for you as it was for me. Be well and thanks again for the thoughtful comment. -Rob
Just got done listening to chris cornell sing this song with just his acoustic on the howard stern show, thought i would look up the lesson and maybe given it a try, and yes you nailed it in this lesson, you are very good, have seen some of your other lessons too and thought the same. Thank you
Thank you for the beautiful lesson on Black Hole Sun. I have been following Chris' career since the late 80's and I will miss him dearly, but he will live on through his music. My heart goes out to his family and friends. Once again cheers for the lesson!!
I am a 62 year old also and agree with the comment made by David Ringo (below), such a shame to see a great talent leave us so early. Thank you very much for your tutorial 'swift lessons'. Great song, great arrangement. 👍🏻 ☮️
That was beautifully sung. I used to be able to sing like that but hurt myself through overtraining and over screaming for years and years. I'm glad i discovered you.
Thanks so much. You said it all AND delivered a great lesson. Such a thought provoking and beautiful song. Love it. R.I.P. Chris...life AND death is not always what you think it is.
Grew up on Soundgarden and Cornell. Badmotorfinger was a music epiphany for me at the age of 20. These songs are part of me. It was shocking to say the least. 6 months ago I picked up a guitar (messed around in the early 90's for a very short period, but had zero resources so that went nowhere quick) with a mission to be able to play songs just like this. I've been working through a number of the relatively easy Neil Young classics, but starting to creep into bar chords. Thank you so much. You have a great voice to boot.
+Eggnogonthebog Productions thanks, hope you're having fun singing along. Definitely the toughest song I've sung on here, but no one can sing like Chris anyway... have fun and thanks again. -Rob
Thanks for such a great tutorial! I love the play through in the beginning with the close ups of your hands. I was able to learn this song in just one day, by following your instructions and then playing along several times.
Been looking back at your old video to find you're still doing them, it's nice to see you're still teaching others, making others grow as you grow with them :)
man i like this song, i'm brazilian i will learn to speak english to sing this song, i like listening to Soundgarden, Alice in Chains, Pearl Jam, Nirvana
BZ BRAZIL you have great taste in music! I’m thinking of covering this song by sound garden I’ve already covered 3 or 4 songs by Alice In Chains along with about 144 other songs! Also have some great footage of Greta Van Fleet when I saw them in Nashville! Check it out if you like everything is public 🎶🎵🎸😎
Hey man u pulled this song off real perfect, hit me right in the feels as this cover helps me thru a hard time man. Idk if u believe in God but God bless you. Can't tell who's a Christian or not these days lol
+rob dilley I agree, this one hurts bad... the more I think about it, the harder it is to understand. Still, we'll keep on rocking, and Chris left behind so much great music to get us through. Thanks for checking in. Be well. -Rob
man I was really weird about this at first bc I'm so picky w it being a Chris Cornell thing, but the singing and guitar parts were everything I needed, and you did a really good job w the vocals and everything
