Hey man i just came across a post on reddit about this mod for the 4th gen and I was also thinking about doing this mod and a star headliner with my 4th gen 3
I do have some questions regarding wiring.
do i need to split the taillight main wire and expose them to connect the vampire clips and connect them to the plug? im just a little confused on how to wire them correctly and split them into one another so the route to the main connector without ruining the tail light wire. (for reference i have not purchase these yet but i want to know all info before i jump on this project)
    Thank you!

I initially was going to include a section going over that, but I had no space to work in the trunk and film at the same time.
      The gist of it is:
      1. Slip the open side of the clip onto the existing tail light wire
      2. Insert the wire from the LED kit that corresponds to it into the other opening
      3. Once you make sure they're both in there good, punch or clamp down the metal bridge down
This video does a great job visualizing how to use these: th-cam.com/video/zxt3LVpvjcw/w-d-xo.htmlsi=aF1tocNBCAW7tUEQ

They are pretty easy to work with, but can be a bit finicky if the wires aren't centered or fed through all the way. As long as you test at the times I suggested in the video, I think you'll be fine.
I'm sure there are other connectors that work better, but these are cheap and pretty straightforward without needing to cut into the factory wiring directly
