yes!! Prawn suit is the boss of the land area! It covers every area. I am definitely going to make it asap in my game. I did not use it enough in Subnautica.
You're welcome. I am glad you finally made it. :D It always sucks when you put in so much effort only to find out that it was for nothing, but such is a gamers life xD
The last clearing is HUGE and when those whiteout storms happen? Yeah, I would understand the frustration after looking for so long. There are a lot of somewhat hidden paths in this game, for sure. I am glad it worked out :D
While I am all for the exploration and finding things on my own, those ice worms made this so much trouble that I felt I needed to find exactly where the cache was. Even the black wormy boys down deep aren’t as much of a pain as those things.
Trying to go back is the hardest part. I just ran through so many tunnels while being chased which made me lose the path back so I found a hole and just jumped in and swam back to my sea truck. The way back is way more terrifying.
I think maybe I should add a video for getting out. Even I, myself, got lost and went a different way when I tried to come back on my playthrough the other day. The whole Arctic Spires needs to be mapped out.
Great video - got the cache - but I must admit I doubt I would have made it if I was not in a Prawn - ended up be attacked by two Stalkers as well as the worm.
Yes, its definitely not walking territory! I think I decided to walk for this because it was easier to see the area I went through but its deadly as heck to go strolling around in here!! The Prawn is an excellent choice, though. :D nice.
I am such a terrible snowfox driver, though! Although they did improve the handling a lot more now. I should give it another chance. As crazy as it is, I tend to just wander in without a vehicle and take my chances. xD But I get lost every time. The ICe Worms induce SO much adrenaline.
@@Aagggyy I need to get my Prawn over there asap, then, I did a run through (no vehicles or cold suit, idiot me xD ) and it was a challenge w the worms and cold. Nearly didn't make it back out!
@@Alabamadoggo1598 XD Oh god, no. That just brought a thought to mind though. How much oxygen would one need to get to the deepest location in game with just a seaglide. Maybe something to test, lol :D
It used to be where the snowfox triggered the Ice Worms like crazy so I have always avoided it since then, But I just tried it out again and they seem to have lessened it. I used to not be able to go a meter without getting knocked off the bike again. That was quite a while ago last year though. Thank you, or I wouldnt have tried this out again. The Ice Worms still attack and knock me off, but I can travel quicker. I have been told the easiest vehicle in the Arctic Spires is the Prawn suit by far, no issues w the Ice Worms.
the most i’ve done in that area is get the thumper and boost out with my snow fox i will definitely use this when i’m not too scared to go in the ice worms are awful xD
I found this with a prawn suit at my first try by accident, Its safer but make sure you bring a repair tool. I never came back after that i wonder if its worth exploring apart from the quest.
There are some items you can get at tech sites in this biome but I think that after the cache, there really isnt any reason to stay in this biome, yeah.
This is so incredibly helpful, thank you so much! Are there any other resources or benefits to going out in the fields that we should know about? PDA's, tool fragments, other Architect data? I would explore more but I'm terrified of the worms lol.
Most people say the Prawn suit is the safest way to traverse the Glacial Bay, but if you haven't made that bad boy yet, then you can utilize Thumpers or the Ice Worm Attack Reduction Module for the Snowfox to try to keep them at bay. I have videos on both of their locations in the Below Zero How To playlist. The Prawn suit video is coming soon or I can just tell you where the fragments are if you need them. Stock up on first aid and Fevered Peppers/Spicy Fruit Salad or have the Cold Suit so you don't have to worry about freezing if distracted when exploring. The Glacial Bay has quite a few databoxes and key points of story in it, so you can't avoid it, but once you have the Cold Suit or the Prawn, it will become a very easy place to explore, with no worries. Sidenote: Ice Worms will only spawn in the biome across the bridge, the Arctic Spires biome. They do not spawn when taking the path direction of Phi Robotics, the Glacial Basin biome. They are two separate biomes. Also Flares will keep Snow Stalkers away from you as well. :D Ask any more questions, I love to help!
@@HylianMom Thank you! I'll keep that in mind! I made the Snowfox and it's so difficult to drive lol, plus if an ice worm comes by it knocks me off of it so it's almost easier to just run through. But I did traverse the Glacial Bay a lot more since I asked and I found the worm attack reduction module. Something that would REALLY help me out is figuring out where I can mine nickel because I haven't found any yet, and I desperately need it for the MK III depth upgrade for the Seatruck. Thanks again! You're great.
@@misseletek97 Easiest places to get Nickel Ore are the Lilypads Crevice or the Deep Lilypads Cave, where the big flowers are. I found it easier to see on the ground in Deep Lilypads Cave.
Did anyone find this on their own without a guide? This is the most difficult area I've ever had to find my way through in a video game. You take one wrong turn and you end up back where you started. It's like the Lost Woods all over again only way harder with a giant worm knocking you off your vehicle every 5 seconds and absolutely no hints ore reliable landmarks to utilize. I've never been stuck this long on something except in Dark Souls. It's hard to admire Unknown World's work when you're frustrated too. The iceworm was just a nuisance and nothing more. Thank you so much for this walkthrough. Edit: Wow, after 3 days of trying to get here the forcefield won't drop because of a bug. Like if you love Subnautica. I'm so done with this game after this one. lmao Can I utilize the console here somehow?
Yeah, the Arctic Spires has multiple paths that connect their clearings so you can end up back where you were a lot. Tbh, I used console commands to map out the path and figure it all out. Even then, I don't have the whole thing memorized. IF the forcefield isnt dropping (which is a bug right now, hoping they fix it quickly), you can use the console command: warpforward # with # being the meters forward you wanna go. That will get you right past it. I hope you continue on a bit more! It is definitely no Subnautica, that's for sure, but I did like building Al An.
@@HylianMom I gave some feedback indicating they need to place a PDA outside indicating in some way that it's a giant maze. lmao Players would have a different approach and different attitude going into it and it makes all the difference because my initial impression was just bad level design but it's actually just a bit of poor execution. If I knew it was a maze I wouldn't gotten frustrated. Saving and re-loading fixes the forcefield bug now apparently too.
@@TimelessWorldOfGaming They have this handdrawn map you can scan for the PDA in Phi Robotics Lab, outside Zeta Landon room, but I couldn't make head or tails when I tried to use it way b ack. It is VERY maze like, some entry in the PDA to give clues or landmarks at least would be useful, yes.
@@HylianMom Are you referring to the map with the location of the anti-dote circled in red? This biome isn't on that map (Glacial Basin), it is to the North of it (Arctic Spires).
Greatly done, thanks! I don't usually look for guides like this because I like to explore myself.. but I must say, the arctic part was the worst part of all of subnautica. Great games for sure but the arctic exploration was abysmal.. Nothing much interesting to marvel at while not being able to see anything and getting lost at every turn. Not much to differentiate between areas and the maps provided are almost useless. I get that we're trying to survive but the beauty of subnautica was the awe I had to all the different biomes and creatures and depths.. none of this existed for the arctic. I hope they won't do anything similar if they make another game. I want all underwater pls! ...and maybe a space version?
I'm gonna also point out that for some reason, sitting on the snowfox (bike) keeps you warm in the cold too. Temp stays at 100 as long as you ride. It's odd, but convenient. 🤗
To unlock the cache force fields, you need to have met a certain someone down at Sanctuary Zero, 200m depth in the Twisty Bridges. Thank you for watching :D I appreciate it. I hope I can help,
@@JuanPablo-hl2xt There have been some times where the force field glitches. Have all three done this or just Arctic Spires cache? I would have to look back in the group to see what the solution was. I am not sure if it was just reloading the game or if you had to start a new file. I do know a command code that can get you in worst case. It should have gone down automatically when you approached it if you have Al An, so its not working right for sure there.
You can, but you may need the Snowfox Ice Worm Attack Reduction Module, as the Snowfox hoverbike tends to attract the ice worms quickly. Ice worms spawn all over this biome. Best vehicle for land travel and protection is the Prawn suit :D It is a big help with the jump jet and the ice worms aren't a bad threat inside it. I have videos on the Prawn location and all the modules, if you need them.
Also the Prawn Suit Help you Still warm when on island just Jump boost doesn’t work on island and is much slower. Also Huge fan can you do a video on the Architect Body Cache pls it would me wonderful
I followed your instructions but I can’t find the final thing I’m supposed to scan, only the cables. If I go straight north at the end but I just get to another clearing with the iceworm skeletons in it
Without this video, I dont know how should I be able to find the cache. I was running around in circles for hours, freezing to death, trying to find where I have to go etc. etc., getting really annoyed. There's no way I have that much patience, running aimlessly in a game. I love subnautica, I love exploring, but this is really annoying and boring for me. Would be so much better if we would have a map. A freakin map. We can craft nearly everything in the game, then why not a map??? I have to search for almost every place on youtube otherwise its just so time consuming to find it on my own. Or this game is just not for me.. oh well. Thank you for the guide, without it I would just quit playing. And sorry for my english.
There can be a lot of time needed for exploration, for sure. To make these videos, I have to use commands and map out the path for at least an hour. Only after doing so many have I got part of it memorized, and there are still areas I haven't explored. There is a map, but it is a rough map and I haven't figured it out quite yet. It is on the wall outside of Zeta Landon's room in the damaged Phi Robotics Lab.

Thank you. I would NOT have found it without your help.
You're welcome, I am glad I could help :D
Thank you so much. Felt like an idiot, must have crossed the right path 10 times. At some point I got too frustrated lol
The last clearing is HUGE and when those whiteout storms happen? Yeah, I would understand the frustration after looking for so long. There are a lot of somewhat hidden paths in this game, for sure. I am glad it worked out :D
Excellent tutorial, this saved me a lot of time and frustration.
Wonderful to hear, I am glad I could help :D
No show, just useful information. Thank you so much!
You're welcome! I am glad it helped! :D
Thank you so much this is the last fragment I need you earned a sub
Thanks for the sub! Thats so epic, I appreciate it :D
@@HylianMom no problem
Completing the game for the fifth time and HylianMom's page is the first thing i look for the tutorials in
Thank you so much! I am very grateful for this :D
Omg thank you so much 😵🤯 playing it the second time and still its the horror to find this cave
While I am all for the exploration and finding things on my own, those ice worms made this so much trouble that I felt I needed to find exactly where the cache was. Even the black wormy boys down deep aren’t as much of a pain as those things.
They are VERY relentless, yes, the ice worms. It can just be insanely frustrating, I dont blame you.
Im glad I could help relieve that stress a bit :D
Your videos have helped me a lot, great job!
Thank you so much for telling me, I appreciate it! I am glad they are working out for people :D
Thank you best below zero guide on the web.
You're welcome! You're epic for saying that, thank you so much!!!
You're doing the lord's work, lady.
*bows* Thank you, good sir.
The Prawn suit also works well for staying warm, as well as offering protection from the ice worm. Three punches will kill a Snow Stalker.
I think the Prawn is definitely the best land vehicle, imo. I like feeling like Im a gundam pilot :D or in my mech armor. Nothing will survive me!
Excellent job! Helped my daughter easily find the cache. Just subscribed!
Thank you so much! I appreciate it a lot. I am happy I could help your daughter out. :D My own girl loves to build bases in these games!!
Saw your video now and it helped me so much thanks for a great video.
Glad it helped! Thank you so much, I appreciate that :D
Thank youuu I've been screaming for 30 minutes trying to find which glacier it was on
This Arctic Spires biome is so hellish. I get lost every time I try to get out. I am glad this could help you out :D Thank you !
You are my hero! And now to shamelessly teleport myself out of here because ice worms....
No shame, yes. No shame at all, gtfo asap. xD It's just that kind of biome, really. I am happy I could help out :D
Fantastic guide! Super-clear and very helpful!
Thank you! I am glad it helped out so well :D
I found the other two by myself however for some reason i just couldn't find this one smfh it was very frustrating. This helped me alot 😄so thank you!
Glad I could help, thank you :D This icy biome is honestly just the pits to try and explore, it gets annoying fast xD
@@HylianMom yes! I couldn't agree more. Definitely going to subscribe to your channel ☺️
@@AyeWelt I appreciate that, thank you
small tip: use the prawn suit if youre scared of the cold and insta killing ice worms
Thats a big tip. A very good big tip :D Thanks!
You can also just jump on your snowfox and off again.
If you don't have the cold suit I recommend using the prawn suit sure it slow but it gives you heat
Most say the Prawn is the best in the Arctic Spires, I did try it once and it feels pretty boss. :D
Yeah, just went there in the Prawn... lol. Great video!
Thank you! I am glad I could help you out! :D
:D nice.
You always give good clear directions thank you very much 🤟😀
My pleasure 😊 Always happy to help !
many thanks needed this and even for me easy to follow, cheers
Glad it helped, thank you! :D
This is exhilarating and fun with the snowfox lol. Boosting as soon as you hear the ice worms blood curdling screams is really a rush
I am such a terrible snowfox driver, though! Although they did improve the handling a lot more now. I should give it another chance. As crazy as it is, I tend to just wander in without a vehicle and take my chances. xD But I get lost every time.
The ICe Worms induce SO much adrenaline.
@@HylianMom I go with my prawn suit. It’s very strong and I boost as soon as I hear rumbling in my controller which is also a rush.
@@Aagggyy I need to get my Prawn over there asap, then, I did a run through (no vehicles or cold suit, idiot me xD ) and it was a challenge w the worms and cold. Nearly didn't make it back out!
@@HylianMom I thought you meant like the whole game no seatruck. I was like girl how you be breathin
@@Alabamadoggo1598 XD Oh god, no.
That just brought a thought to mind though. How much oxygen would one need to get to the deepest location in game with just a seaglide. Maybe something to test, lol :D
Thank you for the help! This will be amazing for so many players!
You're welcome, and thank you so much! I am glad I can help a bit in a game I love. :D
Cant believe everyone doesn't jump diagonally with the prawn suit painted like its an Evangelion. Its way way faster, baka Shinji!
You should bring a snowfox going there, I remember when I encounter the Iceworm for first time there, I was so scared.
@@HylianMom oh, okay then.
@@kittiphodbest2943 Sorry, sometimes I tend to ramble. I really should have driven, you're right. It takes forever to walk and I cant sprint.
the most i’ve done in that area is get the thumper and boost out with my snow fox i will definitely use this when i’m not too scared to go in the ice worms are awful xD
They are pretty intense, the worms. The PRawn suit seems to be the safest way to travel around them. Good luck on your trip!
Ask any more questions, I love to help!
I found it easier to see on the ground in Deep Lilypads Cave.
always quality directions a+
Did anyone find this on their own without a guide?
@@TimelessWorldOfGaming They have this handdrawn map you can scan for the PDA in Phi Robotics Lab, outside Zeta Landon room, but I couldn't make head or tails when I tried to use it way b
ack.
Why would it not? I'm assuming it works on an engine that's always running.
@@bleedthesecolours I get that. :) Just pointing it out in case anyone didn't know.
Tbh, I didnt know it. I didnt use the Snowfox much. But its a cool trick that might win me over on it....might. xD
Very helpful. I found it very quickly thanks to you❤❤❤
You're welcome 😊 I am glad I could help :D
thanks your videos truly help a lot😀
What can I say, mother always knows best
Thanks, I was wandering for 2 days lol
Anytime, I am glad it helped. :D
I have a question, do you know how I can deactivate the force field of the castles, by the way thanks for the guides
To unlock the cache force fields, you need to have met a certain someone down at Sanctuary Zero, 200m depth in the Twisty Bridges.
Thank you for watching :D I appreciate it. I hope I can help,
@@HylianMom friend, if you mean alan I already have it but the force field is still there
@@JuanPablo-hl2xt There have been some times where the force field glitches.
You helped a lot because it is like a maze here
It is crazy, I cant even navigate it easily unless I use my own guides xD thank you, I am glad I could help.
Hi! Great Video. Can you take the snow bike thingy on this route?
You can, but you may need the Snowfox Ice Worm Attack Reduction Module, as the Snowfox hoverbike tends to attract the ice worms quickly. Ice worms spawn all over this biome.
Best vehicle for land travel and protection is the Prawn suit :D It is a big help with the jump jet and the ice worms aren't a bad threat inside it. I have videos on the Prawn location and all the modules, if you need them.
perfect as always HylianMom thank you
Thank you too! Always a pleasure!

Amazingly helpful! Thank you so much

thank you, your videos help a lot.
You're welcome, I am glad I could help :D
Also the Prawn Suit Help you Still warm when on island just Jump boost doesn’t work on island and is much slower. Also Huge fan can you do a video on the Architect Body Cache pls it would me wonderful
I do have videos for the caches made, yes :D And thank you for being a fan
