To go with my last message, if I may give one tip, with this franchise. At 12:34 DON’T EVER stop & chill like that. It will only get worse. Yeah, you can stop & backtrack a couple steps to avoid things. But, then right back around as soon as you can. This game is designed to make you pay for stopping, at ALL. Lol!! That’s part of its extreme difficulty (even on Easy Mode. Lol!) I know it’s very difficult. Trust me! But, stopping in this one can really screw you over worse than you already were. You’ll never find that perfect widow to just “GO!” Football Running Backs have a better chance stopping behind their O-Line to find the running lane open than you do of stopping & going, in this franchise. Again…I know & fully understand it’s much easier said than done. Believe me. The callouses on my thumbs, will tell you…I know & understand. Lol! I started gaming at home on a Commodore64, when I was 3-years old in 1985. We also had an Atari 2600, prior to finally getting an NES in ‘87. (We were a tad behind just bc of my dad’s job. He was gone a lot, as a tabling electrician, for first few years of my life.) But, my cousins & plenty of fiends had one, & was always around one of them. It’s good to see others playing these types of games, man. I want this old school genre - all sub-genres of the “Retro Gaming” scene - to survive & even THRIVE. We almost entirely lost Pinball once. It’s held on. We landing lost THIS style of game before, but we have held on. Thank goodness, for that.
I love this game, man. I’ve been in nothing but a retro style game kick the last few years. This, the Blasphemous games, all the Castlevania collections, Contra Collection, Cuphead, Guacamelee, Dead Cells, the two AVGN games (which are actually pretty good & difficult), among many others. I don’t need big “Triple A”, open-world games. Haha! (Aside from Red Dead Redemption 2) This game franchise has always been known as one of the most difficult. I played the original arcade game way back in the day. Ever since then, I’ve loved these games. Their overall design style is fantastic and fun, music is gun, & so on. It was known as one of the most frustrating, difficult games ever made THEN. It’s part of the the franchise’s identity. I love how this one suggest for you to change the Difficulty Level after about 3-4 deaths. Lol!! Glad to see I’m not the only one, and I’m an OG (I turn 43, in 5 days. Lol!). I never beat the NES & SNES versions, until Switch & I could do the Rewind & “Suspend State” (aka “Save”) stuff. Without that, no WAY I would’ve ever beaten the originals. And I’ve beat al or of old school games.
Omg... You had taken me down memory lane with your comment....I got Contra Galuga a month or so ago...I'm eager to jump back into that after G n G on Legend difficulty.... Speaking of being on a retro kick... Have you checked if Atari 50? I'm super into Bezerk and Centipede right now! I still suck though... lol Thank you so much for stopping by and engaging 🫡 🙏🏾.
I SHARE YOUR DESPAIR trust me !
So funny how this works...Frustration & despair; aaaaaaand then right back or there... 😊 Thank you for stopping by and engaging 🫡.
