Brilliant vid ian. I miss fly fishing haven't done it in about 8 years. I started fly fishing when i was 6 i was lucky enough to have a trout lake on my grandparents farm in pensford,so spent most of my childhood fly fishing which i absolutely loved, im 31 now due to having a lovely little family i don't tend to fly fish anymore. I Do more sea fishing now. I think this year i might have to go and a bit more fresh water fishing like the old day's
Hi Jamie lovely to hear from you Like you I tend to sea fish more these days as I find the challenge fulfills me more but I still enjoy a few fly fishing trips every year. Hi Nick yes my dad taught me to fly fish when I was 8 on the river Tyne and I’ve tried to pass it on to my boys! Jake did really well considering he hasn’t fly fished for years! It’s great fun when you hook them on light gear!!! Thanks for watching much appreciated cheers Ian
Hi Nick so pleased you enjoyed the video! Yes Jake struggled initially with the reel but sorted it out eventually!!! Thanks very much for watching cheers Ian
Wow amazing video Ian, what beautiful fish. Did you weigh any of them.? . I really miss fly fishing . I fished Blagdon last year from the bank but struggled casting with arthritis in my right hand . Guess I will have to try a boat. Stay safe and tight lines. Mike
Hi Mike so pleased that you enjoyed the video! We only kept one fish and didn’t weigh any but a couple probably were just over 4lb Me and Chris fish the bank occasionally but as I had Jake with me I figured he stood more chance from a boat. Thanks as always for watching cheers Ian
Great to see father and son fishing together and obviously having a great time and enjoying each others company. Great watch as usual.
