Great Videos! I just got me the same combination motor and boat. One thing I did to help with motor pushing into soft transom was use a thin piece of wood squished between motor mount and boat. I just found a small baton from my spare old mainsail that is about 1/8" thick, 1.5" height and about 18" long. I place it on the bumper itself of the boat runs across side to side. That and increasing the PSI made a huge difference.
You wouldn't happen to have a picture would you? Did you pad the wood at all against the boat? If I'm understanding correct, the wood runs horizontal around mid mount to reinforce it? How is the wood attached to the mount? I'm looking to do the same with a suzuki 2.5 OB on a mariner 4. Thank you!
Did you have any issues with the engine dipping/digging? I've seen some vids where it looks a bit dicey & some mods that potentially can get it to ride higher.
Amigo nunca teve perigo de rasgar a borracha que segura o motor no suporte? Pq eu vi q força bastante pra baixo no motor na água, o meu tbm faz isso, e pergunto pq parece não dar confiança esse suporte original no motor, oq vc me diz?
I've tested it, and it won't rip off. You can do some modifications to stop it from digging into the water. I wouldn't worry about it unless you go over 4hp.
It depends on how fast you go but if you cruise around at around 4 mph it should last you an hour or to but at full speed it is probably around 20 minutes to an half hour
I am so baffled, so from the comments I read this engine you've used in the video is a 2.5hp engine? but it goes almost the same speed as the one in this video but this ha a 6 hp >>>> th-cam.com/video/joA28OS5eNU/w-d-xo.html

You can extend the bars or put something under the bottom of the mount to prevent it from digging
@@subzero4698 thanks man, I appreciate it
