Hes so delayed on his attacks now, theyre not nearly as hard to avoid, and yes, Robo Plankton also is barely a threat too. Man, im feeling disappointed with this remaster.
A gripe I have with some of these bosses is the warnings of where projectiles or attacks will land (Robot Patrick and Robot SpongeBob). As one who played the original game years ago, I personally feel it takes away from the challenge of the bosses. With the old game, there was no warning of where the bosses' attacks would land, meaning you'd have to pay close attention to not get killed. The warning targets, in my opinion, lessen the intensity and threat of the bosses in the remake. But I'll wait until the remake's released before deciding an opinion on the game as a whole.

These are my thought on the bosses of this game. (You don't have to read this unless you want to read it) I think they did a good job on their design, some animations, and transitions from each of the phases were good too, but 2 of the main bosses (Robo-Sandy and Robo-Patrick) I think weren't good enough compared to the old game. Robo-Sandy's initial impression was good, her attacks were fast and she showed a lot of improvement, but then it came to jump attack (the attack that leaves her open to damage) and the clothes line attack (the attack with her legs in phase 2 and modified version of phase 3 with the arms and legs) and both were just was super slow looking compared to the original and that was Robo-Sandy. Robo-Patrick again had a much bigger impact than Robo-Sandy and I was excited to see what the remake would do and overall they did an amazing job on him, but once again, one of the attacks just couldn't keep up and ended up looking weird (im sure you know what attack im talking about, but if not then ill just tell you, it's the Do-Si-Do spin attack) and the attack was just too slow to keep with the others. While that attack kinda disappointed me I saw a very "cool" change with the ice breath attack (pun was originally not intended). There wasn't anything I saw that was awkward with Spongebob Steelpants infact his design kinda just made him more creepy (especially when he does his Kah-Rah-Tae attack) while the original just went with a cool design. Overall i think they made Steelpants easier than the original. I'm just gonna say it, I am very happy they removed the loud beeping noise you hear when fighting Prawn. The bosses really got nerfed here. Although, I must preface to say that I don't own nor have played the game. Imma write a ""quick"" opinion on how bad these bosses get tanked. Plus, yeah I have a life - I just have a spare hour, too. Flying Dutchman: I really expected this boss to get buffed or something, cause the original fight was really one-note. It seems that they didn't change the fight at all, as you still have to dodge the same attack for the whole fight, the Dutchman occasionally taking a break to walk himself across the street. I don't recall how many times you have to dodge his attack in the original, but here you dodge the same attack 29 times. It wasn't that interesting in the original. Robo-Sandy: They really went in a different direction with the design, and I don't really like what they came up with. The new design feels like a Lego Dimension redesign of the boss, and the eagle eye perspectives compared to the ant's eye perspective of the original really shrinks the scale of the fight. Also, listening to the audio, some of the boss' attack sound effects just don't play sometimes, like the elbow attack at (3:54). It is a positive that the fight's pauses have been removed, though. The clothesline move works at about the same speed as the original, though I'm not sure. The elbow move is faster, though it has an attack reticule now, and misses the hostile dust shockwave that it had in the original. The jump into leading to the attack moment is way quicker in the original. Robo-Patrick: It seems that the redesigners approached the robot bosses with the idea of making them as 'possible' looking as... possible. I'm fine with that approach, but it really robs the fights of some of the smooth animations that the original bosses had. Also, the graphics, though looking really good and saturated, also rob the fights of their atmosphere. The robots originally looked faded and dusty, the goo looked toxic and the convetor belts looked salvaged. The new profile photo for the boss in the bottom left is also way less intimidating than the previous game - actually not intimidating at all, really. Ultimately, I'm saying these new fights look less intimidating. Same thing goes for Patrick's spin attack, it's too slow to feel unpredictable. Also also, I don't think the old Robo sound effects work for this fight, the animations just feel mistimed (12:23). Same problem as Sandy with the other sound effects (12:32) (13:30) (15:27). The transitions from his attacks to his vulnerable phase also feels janky. The cutscene where Squidward and Spongebob melt out doesn't even make sense, as Squidward melts before the goo even makes contact with the ice. There are now reticules for every ice cream attack. The singular ice cream spit attack is pointless, as it doesn't predict your movements at all, as the original did. Bubblebowls now glide on the goo's surface. Honestly, I really don't like anything new they added to this boss at all. In my opinion, not an upgrade. Robo-Spongebob: This design is fine. I like the eyes - everyone does. Though... To make a case for the old eyes, it's still intimidating how the original had spongebob's eyes to look like him, but they never blinked. My past mentions of the downsides of the graphics still apply, though. This fight misses a lot of the good old animations that the original had. Like the way that every time the robot was knocked out, the extended arm would retract and nail the robot right in the nose, and the lively way that the expressionless robot would wave to you as it prepared to chop you in half. The safe-zone times after the robot finishes an attack cycle is hella long for a final boss (21:30), and the safe-zone time for robot plankton in the first phase is so ridiculously long that it's hard to consider it part of the fight. The platforms are smaller, so the voice-box attack and vertical slice attack are easier to dodge. The horizontal slice move is fine - never was supposed to be that hard of a move. The vertical slice move lost it's unpredictability. In the original, sometimes when you got too far away from the robot's target, it'll skip a platform and catch up to you. Also, I find it really pointless how the platforms light up when they're about to be sliced - like, we know that it's going to attack it, dude. I also don't get why this attack gets faster at the end, like, you kinda missed your chance to be difficult. The voice-box move is like the vertical slice move, and the only unique thing I have to say about it is that I'm confused why they only play the sound effect once, even when it uses the attack... more than once. Finally, finally, finally, my poor boy Robo-Plankton!!! Its attacks have been so nerfed compared to the original. It'd move around and dodge your missiles, and its attacks were longer. Every time in the original, when you'd beat a section of the second phase, it really felt like a standoff between it and you. Especially during that last section, where you need to subdue the robot to get just enough time to shatter the cell before it booted up again. It was so tense! Okay, that's my comparison. Bye.
Loved this game start to finish, despite any differences between the original and this. :) I still like the bosses in this game despite their changes...only problem is you can't seem to replay the main bosses anymore unlike the last game. If you fast travel back to their stages, they don't appear again...just empty arenas with no exit unless you fast travel. It's a shame...hopefully it can be fixed or updated so we can do that. :)
As much as i loved this fight, they made the robo patrick fight way too easy, i remember it being harder, mainly because everything in it was much faster paced and honestly the remake for the robo patrick fight isn't as good as the classic version.
At 30:24 you can still here a previous noise from the original that needs to be removed. In the original One of the arms went down and the other one went up and bent. In this version both arms lay on the ground and you can still here that noise. I hope they fix it.
I remember doing a glitch in the original with the robot Spongebob boss fight. When he chops I either jumped and got hit with the spinning platform or got flinged because I didn’t jump. Whatever it was I was shot at the roof and skipped to phase 2.
The only gripe I have is the robot bosses aren't replay-able. In the original you could take a taxi to Posedome, industrial park, and the chum bucket both phases and play them again. As well in the 2nd section of the bikini bottom hub world, there was a small pink platform where you could enter the sponge ball arena. Other that that, this game is a masterpiece.
One last thing. I have noticed it might not of been finished or it’s a bug. Because when I go back to those boss locations, the robot’s model in invisible where it’s starting point of the fight is
robot Plankton was going to marry robot Spongebob, robot Plankton's personality was most likely based off Plankton's own personality. this means Plankton has a crush on Spongebob and would date him if he was evil. Jellyfish are not really fish but a form of Plankton, Spongebob loves Jellyfishing which means he loves Plankton too XD
Oh man, these idiots. No wonder Plankton is so willing to tolerate SpongeBob whenever they work together. Although, if there's anyone I feel SpongeBob would be gay for, it would be Patrick. Otherwise, Plankton has no chance.
What happened to them bringing the cut bosses into this game? Wheres Robo-Squidward or the Anchor Arms Spongbot? Also the animations on Robo-Sandy look janky af and they made Robo-Patrick alot easier
@@WishingTikal I thought during development that said countless times they were bringing them back into the main game, so thats a little disappointing. I assume they probably couldent find a good place to fit them into the story so they were pushed to multiplayer.

8:44-SpongeBob's HEROIC VOICE!
9:13,10:03, 15:21, 21:35, 24:00-Here's some of the new never-before-seen recordings from the English voice cast.
11:31-SpongeBob breaks the fourth wall by asking player what should he and Sandy should do?
13:02 and 17:00-Take him down, Sandy! >:D
Also, a new phase added for SpongeBot SteelPants. Try to spot and let me know in the comments.
Those lines you said were new... I heard them in the ps2 one.
The second spongbob steel pants phase was in the original :/
@@StrangestDangest I think there referencing the scrapped for a second time muscle bob steelpants phase they planned it for this game as well but once again it was scrapped

You know is as same as the one we watch ?
I love this game, it actually feels like you’re watching an episode of SpongeBob
Okay the spongebob robot look pretty good in these graphics.
3:12 I like how excited Patrick looks.
"...." -Robo Sandy
"OW!!!!" -Robo Patrick
DED
😂😂😂
Their attacks are a lot faster then in the original game, making it a little harder to dodge them
Now i wanna a see others spongebob's games remakes like spongebob movie or lights, camera and sponge!
The new robot bosses, especially spongebot, looks terrifying
More Like They Look Even More Terrifying Then They Were Back Then When We Was Kids😳😨😱😭
Know what I’m just gonna come out and say it, fnaf
Robo Patrick's icon during his fight in the original was the most terrifying thing in the original. Glad they changed it
The bosses really got nerfed here. Although, I must preface to say that I don't own nor have played the game. Imma write a ""quick"" opinion on how bad these bosses get tanked. Plus, yeah I have a life - I just have a spare hour, too.
Flying Dutchman:
I really expected this boss to get buffed or something, cause the original fight was really one-note.
Robo-Sandy:
They really went in a different direction with the design, and I don't really like what they came up with.
Robo-Patrick:
It seems that the redesigners approached the robot bosses with the idea of making them as 'possible' looking as...
Robo-Spongebob:
This design is fine.
Bye.
I agree the boss fight im most disappointed in is the sandy robot fight nowhere near as threatening
Ah boy i remember this game..
They made a remastered version? Sweet!
Wow the TH-cam algorithm was nice to you!
Spongebob:You've just met the Sponginator 1:01
Terminator + SpongeBob = *Sponge*-Inaitor
Loved this game start to finish, despite any differences between the original and this. :)
I still like the bosses in this game despite their changes...only problem is you can't seem to replay the main bosses anymore unlike the last game. If you fast travel back to their stages, they don't appear again...just empty arenas with no exit unless you fast travel.
It's a shame...hopefully it can be fixed or updated so we can do that. :)
5:55 The Magic's Wins And Defeated The Knicks What An Upset Here at The Amway Center
The Animation is Great and very Impressive
Imagine in the future this game will be remade
I like how 3 robots and the flying Dutchman are angry on the thumbnail lol
Prawn T-Pose looking nice!!
As much as i loved this fight, they made the robo patrick fight way too easy, i remember it being harder, mainly because everything in it was much faster paced and honestly the remake for the robo patrick fight isn't as good as the classic version.
I was hoping for Spongebot Steelpants's theme to be remixed
I got a ad for battle for bikini bottom rehydrated as i was watching
Wow
Nice Remake
nothing can beat memories of old days...xD
At 30:24 you can still here a previous noise from the original that needs to be removed. In the original One of the arms went down and the other one went up and bent. In this version both arms lay on the ground and you can still here that noise. I hope they fix it.
If u look closely they made his jet feet go off in time with that sound effect.
Cannot wait for the game for my opinion this is definitely going to be the best spongebob game that purple lamp has ever created in history.

@@Boostguardian1127 Oof, Nick darn messed it up

Omg same! I love that game!
I thought Spongebob Steelepants had a cut "third (or second, can't remember) phase" that was supposed to be added back in?
They didn't add anything, not even Patrick's dream
@@WishingTikal honestly i think they rushed it. At least with the boss fights.
I remember doing a glitch in the original with the robot Spongebob boss fight. When he chops I either jumped and got hit with the spinning platform or got flinged because I didn’t jump. Whatever it was I was shot at the roof and skipped to phase 2.
Yeah, that's actually a Speedrunning strategy. It's probably just a debug trigger left in by the developers
And prawn is not seen frozen in the containment system like it was in the original
Also the animations on Robo-Sandy look janky af and they made Robo-Patrick alot easier
robot squidward is in multiplayer but he's not really a boss
@@WishingTikal I thought during development that said countless times they were bringing them back into the main game, so thats a little disappointing. I assume they probably couldent find a good place to fit them into the story so they were pushed to multiplayer.
It's going to be great playing this game
Amazing video!!!,
Amazing game!!!
Spongebob's face is so adorable
The third boss cutscene is the longest and funniest one
Though I may not be a Spongebob fan, I'd still consider getting this game.
